I guess with age, our taste turns weirder. I no longer dream of the prince charming on a white horse, but rather, I've set my target on the cold and indifferent villain. So here is the list of my favorite, flawed yet amazing MLs. 

This is purely subjective and please follow the list if you have the same weird taste as mine and do tell if you have other recommendations.

Him/her with his/her unrequited love;

Couples who were separated for a very long time and unsure of the other person's feeling, but stayed true and loyal to his woman;

Or an ML who caused misery/grievance to his woman at first but turned st*pidly sweet after the redemption arc.

With that being said, Im into MLs with emotional issues and social barriers so you may not like them at first. I dont like perfect and very good mannered MLs, I like them flawed!

The novels you're gonna be seeing here are of course, romance novels, that are straight and are either realistic, fluffy, no dog-blood drama and 109876 chapters spent to resolve misunderstandings, no 5 men chasing after the protagonist, no male lead with 1000 concubines, makes sense to at least at the bear minimum, light-hearted, or some philosophical really deep stuff(though rarely). But mostly, it's gonna be more about fluff, light-hearted and more focused on romance.

1- career is a feature of the fml's backstory and/or character setup; there's no function other than a way to meet other characters or cause drama; no actual work seems to be put into it; miscomprehension of the concept of a career

2- career is said to be important/life-long passion but is not delved upon beyond the surface level; may be prominent in an arc or two but is forgotten in most other chapters; instead of a romantic subplot, it's a work subplot; unrealistic depictions of career

3- career is somewhat important in fml's daily life; is mentioned consistently throughout the story but other things hold precedence; fml occasionally puts in some hard effort; partially realistic depictions of career

4- career is very important to the fml and she works hard on it; it may at times surpass the importance of other things like romance or personal wellbeing; obvious professional knowledge is referenced; mostly accurate depictions of career <<less
