I make these lists mostly for myself — cause I have a horrible memory — and I want to know what to expect when rereading. As a result, they’re not always the most objective!

For me, any rating above a 3.5 is pretty high!  If the rating is 2/5 or below, I put it in a private list.

• 2.5 — 3.0 | 5 = Average (Run of the mill, perhaps not the best written/translated or have generic characters/development, but still readable.)

• 3.0 — 3.75 | 5 = Slightly better than average (Not the best in quality for some reason or another but has a charming point that makes it more fun to read).

• 3.75 — 4. 35 | 5 = Good Quality (High in quality and worth the read! But probably lacking in a certain aspect or just not my usual type of novel).

• 4.35 — 5 | 5 = Great Quality (Must read!!! I rarely give out such scores. So if it reaches this level, it’s a definite favorite for me~). <<less

Most (but not all) are HE as well. I generally read more historical, but there will be others as well. The list will be slowly updated over time. I will also try to add comments or reasons to why I like the novel, especially to titles I didn't leave a review for already.

Additionally, while this generally a rec list, that doesn't mean that I will have glowing things to say about every single one of them. I will still have criticisms and complaints about things I didn't like about each of these.

No just ML and FL and antagonists only, who are painfully dependent on each other to build the plot. No BG, no CP, no BL,... more>> no Harem, no Ecci. Captivating plot, idea and interesting, lively characters who want to empathize and whose life you feel. Look at top-list because I don't know how to describe novel properly to interest anyone enough to read what I recommend, but the numbering was meant as it is. Check for genres too please. <<less

♡ give each novel a fair chance even if the rating is low ! some people just rate 1 star for no reason (especially for BLs and GLs) without even reading it, which is highly unfair ! sometimes, you'll come across GOLD in the lower ratings ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

♡ check the OG novel publishing date ! older novels generally tend to have more questionable morals than ones from ~2019+, and they tend to be really cliche BECAUSE they were likely the pioneers of the genre (i.e. QT, apocalypse, etc...) you don't have to read them, but just keep that in mind !

♡ don't like? don't read ! ... But PLEASE read the synopsis and a few reviews to make sure you know what you're getting into both plot-wise and content warning-wise ! I see some people start ranting after going into a silly sweet QT novel expecting 9000+ level IQ protagonists and plots and,, i'm sorry but you're not gonna see that. manage your expectations and i assure you, you'll have a nice time! <<less
