Review Update (12/07/2024)

Chapter 100 Review :

The story starts off pretty weak, especially in the first 50 chapters. The writing quality is shaky, and the MC comes across as incredibly passive. She barely speaks, doesn't correct misunderstandings about her being powerless, and relies on others to drive the plot forward. This makes the opening feel aimless, and honestly, it's a bit frustrating to read. But if you stick with it, things do improve. The MC starts becoming proactive, engaging more with the world, and making decisions on her own. That... more>> shift gives the story a much-needed spark, and by later arcs, it becomes a proper overpowered isekai transmigration tale with some unique twists.

Early on, the story feels like a typical Korean power fantasy. The MC is so ridiculously strong that nothing in this cruel, dog-eat-dog world can touch her. The setting itself is dark and unforgiving, filled with despair, violence, and a "might makes right" mentality. If she wasn't invincible, her journey would've ended immediately, probably with her dead in some ditch. But because she's untouchable, she casually floats above the chaos, unaffected by the struggles and misery around her. This theme carries through much of the story's early parts, and while it might seem shallow at first, it serves a deeper purpose.

There's a certain appeal to this kind of setup. It's a fantasy of invulnerability, where you're so strong that the world's darkness simply can't touch you. It might resonates with some people who might feel overwhelmed by life and dream of being left alone, free from conflict. But as the story progresses, it subtly explores the isolation that comes with such power. Being untouchable isn't as carefree as it seems, and the MC's growth reflects that. She starts taking initiative, finding her own motivations, and actively engaging with the world rather than just drifting through it.

One of the story's standout features is its side characters. They're not deeply written, but they're undeniably interesting, often more so than the MC early on. Even minor characters, like the Goblin King or some random kidnappers, leave a strong impression. The author does a great job fleshing out these side roles, which is rare in KR novels. The world-building also deserves a nod. It's a cruel and unforgiving place, but the contrast between its harshness and the MC's overpowered journey keeps things intriguing.

By the time you hit the later arcs, the story really starts to shine. The author begins tying back to those early, seemingly inconsequential moments, giving them more depth and meaning. The MC's character development is slow but rewarding, and her interactions with the growing cast of characters become much more dynamic and enjoyable.

Overall, this is a story that starts rough but rewards patience. It evolves from a mediocre, aimless power fantasy into an engaging isekai adventure with solid character growth and a surprisingly rich world. It's not flawless, the early parts drag, and the MC's indifferent personality can be polarizing, but the later chapters more than make up for it. If you're into overpowered MCs, unique world-building, and interesting side characters, this is definitely worth giving a shot. Stick with it, and you might be surprised by how much it grows.

Previous Review (Chapter 30) :

This novel contains atleast one face-slapping scene in every arc

Since no one has written a review yet, I guess I'll be the poison tester for this novel.

Just a heads-up: this review is super subjective, like my other reviews. Being objective is such a hassle.

The story is interesting in a way, with no real tension. The protagonist brute forces her way through every problem, making the story light and quite wholesome. I appreciate the author's inclusion of cruelty in the world, similar to "Seoul Object Story." It shows that while the protagonist might have a carefree, happy life, others don't. I quite like Lu's character too; at first, I thought he'd be another Paimon, but he turns out to be likable, like an inexperienced nanny, quite responsible and sensible.

Now, the downsides. The main character doesn't really work for me. Her indifferent and carefree personality seems off, especially since she's from Earth. She has zero self-preservation instincts and is incredibly ignorant. Though that personality of her have some charm in it, I kinda hate and love it at the same time, the author really needs to explain why she's so indifferent. The plot feels aimless, and honestly, the side and minor characters are more interesting than her. Even the Goblin King and the kidnappers have more depth. I hope the author gives her some backstory to explain her behavior. Tbh the side-characters in the novel are quite good. They are very interesting, kudos to the author for that part, interesting side-characters are quite uncommon for KR novels. To be clear it's "interesting", not well-written.

Overall, I'd rate it 7.5/10. It's light, straightforward, there are certainly flaws here and there but I enjoyed it. Give it a try if you're looking for some light entertainment.

PS. Some might say, "Doesn't she want to have an adventure? That's motivation." Maybe, but it feels too broad for me. I prefer novels with clear goals, but I won't deny that claim.

I do recommend giving this novel a try; you might like it. Despite "depictions of cruelty, " the story is wholesome most of the time, so no worries. It has a certain vibe that keeps me wanting to read more about their adventures and encounters. <<less

As from the description, the main character is an elf with practically infinite stats (i. E. Infinitely strong, agile, durable, infinite magic power etc)

The cover and the description do not make one expect a story with stakes or difficulties for the main character to overcome - so, I did not deduct any points for the story being on easy mode or lacking stakes.

But such a story, where the main character is basically untouchable and can do whatever she wants, what would make this story interesting?

... more>> Worldbuilding and characters.

From the very beginning the main character's motivation has been clear, it was to do adventure. She's been travelling for that purpose.

So, the readers come along on this adventure. Is it interesting? Is the adventure fun? Are the characters we encounter memorable? Are the stories we see unique?

You can tell these are rhetorical questions, the story so far is as boring and dry as stale bread. No plot line we see is interesting or unique, the worldbuilding is a collection of cliches, which would be fine, if there was a story to tell with these building blocks. There is no story. The characters can be characterized in a single sentence and apart from some small gimmicks in some characters, are not memorable at all.

This is a waste of time to read this story. It isn't bad if wasting time, turning off your brain after a busy day and just following along with something where you can scroll past entire paragraphs without reading them and not losing much, if that's what you want - that's fine. Anything more? Not worth the time. <<less

It's just a wholesome slice of life story about an OP elf wandering around the world for adventure. This is especially good for casual readers like me who e joys some peaceful reading, not really looking for any deep plot.

The Mc's adventures, the people she meets, and the misunderstandings that ensues are enough to entertain me to continue reading this. I would recommend to only the demographic this is mostly geared towards

While reading this story I achieved enlightenment in the great dao of korean power fantasies. There is only one truth and it is thus: no matter how dark, backward, or evil a world is for everyone else, it doesn't matter as long as you are strong enough to ignore it. And that's what this story is initally about: an op MC casually floating above the misery of everyone else around them because they are invulnerable and invincible. Horrible topics are casually brought up in this story, if you pay attention... more>> to the author's world building then the only conclusion you can come to is that this world is a terrible world to live in. R*pe, mu*der, and ens*avement are all common behaviors in this world where the strong eat the weak. Had the MC not been who she was her adventure would have ended in the first chapter with her broken corpse strewn all over the countryside. But it didn't, because nothing effects the MC because she is just too strong. In the later chapters
Spoiler

the MC becomes a friend with the saint, and then becomes her guardian knight. The saint has a unique ability: she can tell who is good and who is evil, it's an innate ability that she cant turn off. The saint breaks down in tears when she finally realizes she isnt alone in this world and has someone truly 'good' to rely upon

[collapse]
and that really made me realize the appeal of this story.

Some people are just so unhappy and smothered in despair that the only thing they can fantasize is, is about being left alone. And the only way to be left alone, is to be invincible. But being left alone is its own kind of poison.

Does this make for a fun or interesting story? Not really. You could probably skip the first 50 chapters or so and not miss a thing in terms of plot progression. But when the author does finally start taking their story seriously, all those little inconsequential moments start coming back and paying dividends. Eventually the MC starts gaining motivation to do things on her own initative, and she no longer needs other characters to speak for her. She starts to grow as a character and you find yourself wondering where her adventure will take her next. <<less

Starts out extremely mediocre, but improves over time. At the beginning, the MC is very passive and doesn't even speak much.

It's a recurring theme that people underestimate her as a powerless girl due to her appearance, and she often doesn't even say one word of correction.

Having other characters speak for her to drive the plot (despite no setting of actually being mute or extremely shy or introverted etc.) made it tough to read. But eventually she starts acting more proactively and holds more conversations, even if she's still less verbose... more>> than most other characters or occasionally doesn't bother with their misunderstandings.

At the current arc, I'd say it's a pretty average overpowered isekai transmigration story, executed well enough to be entertaining and for me to be glad to not have dropped this earlier.

But it did require some patience to get to this point and even then it's not phenomenal, just kind of good overall.

I'd say it's closer to 3.5 stars than 4 due to the weak beginning, but if the beginning was fine it would be a solid 4, so that's why I'm keeping that as the rating. <<less

This isn't a big epic story or anything. It's all about the adventures the MC experiences and the people she meets underway.

The story is clumsy, and it can be abit confusing when the story jumps around.

The MC is also rather quiet, rarely communicating more than necessary, but the story portrays this rather well I think and it's not really a hinderance.

I quite enjoyed this tale of adventures and if you're looking for an easy read I recommend it.
