One of my favorite types are where you get to see the reactions of other people based of the mc's action and i thats the really fun part and probably the sole reason why "underestimated tag" is famous.

My list belongs to the type of novel I read and Let me tell you what you won't/will Find here

1. Bull sh*t about Friendship Spirit and love which makes me puke out of cringe.

2. Novels which people disregard based on things like "this doesn't make sense how can there be magic and modern day" 

3. Novels which people disregard saying" the explanations are too much" which you can skip with enough intelligence and some other dumb shit. 

4. Novels where the MC gets lucky at every single step one after another like a who*e who succu....*chough* *cough*..... You get it.

5. Novels which are worth read and you will be spending time on them and the novel with too few chapters wont be there or if they are then you can be sure that the mtl is readable and its available on lnmtl

5 Make sure to know the novels won't have all the tags but most probably atleast one.

6. Looking for Male protagonist novels doesn't mean im a sexist

The novels you're gonna be seeing here are of course, romance novels, that are straight and are either realistic, fluffy, no dog-blood drama and 109876 chapters spent to resolve misunderstandings, no 5 men chasing after the protagonist, no male lead with 1000 concubines, makes sense to at least at the bear minimum, light-hearted, or some philosophical really deep stuff(though rarely). But mostly, it's gonna be more about fluff, light-hearted and more focused on romance.

As an avid wuxia/xianxia/litrpg novel reader for the past 8+ years these are some of the best of the best out of the hundreds I've read. I personally enjoyed the journeys and some even have somewhat decent endings. All are mostly completed novels, with a few enjoyable ongoing ones, arranged from highest rated to lowest. 1 - STRENGTH : Constant MC drive to Increase his power/strength via cultivation or other means. The greater the obstacles he overcomes, the hardship, and the explosion of his power after he strengthened himself, the greater is the psychological reward. Examples: I Shall Seal The Heavens, Against The Gods, The Desolate Era.

2 - BEAUTY : An unending series of beauties in distress, with saving them as the main motivation to go on with the story. The MC should not be necessary a righteous person, but he should have a soft spot for damsels in distress. The beauties must not necessarily become part of the MC harem, they just need to be grateful to him. Examples: Womanizing Mage, Ancient Strengthening Technique, Battle Through the Heavens.

3 - WISDOM : The MC must outsmart his enemies. The most cunning, the better. Battle strength alone is not going to keep interest in the long run. Scheming and strategy, especially long term grand designs and political ploys, keep the story interesting. Antagonists also need to be crafty to make defeating them a rewarding experience. EXAMPLES: Legend of Ling Tian, Nirvana in Fire, Transcending the Nine Heavens.

So the formula is Xianxia/Xuanhuan + Save-The-Beauties + Cunning Protagonist.
