There are too many novels with cliché romance and harems with annoyingly useless girls. Reading them gets extremely tiring. There are too few novels with absolutely no form of romance or harem. Here are some novels I've found to not have romance/harem or have an harem/romance theme that didn't affect the plot of the novel to the point of it being annoying.

P. S. I haven't read all the novels in this list so I might not be accurate in judging them. Note: This isn't really a recommendation list. As mentioned in the title, I'll only mention if it's good or bad with no particular explanation because this list is mostly for me... and that I most probably forgot the details on the novels listed here lmfao. 

Most of the "On hold" are novels that has something I don't like(petty or not... well, mostly petty since I'm petty) which makes me stop reading, but put on hold in case I want to read it again(is what I had in mind). It just accumulated because whenever I try to continue to read some it just makes me remember why I put it on hold in the first place and stop reading it entirely, but still have enough hope to not drop it.

Novels I have read or am reading, which include skills, level/game system and/or reincarnation, basically isekai, or just some kind of a similar fantasy setting. It also includes my score for them and what I thought about them which might include slight spoilers(sorry), some 'reviews' are shorter either because i didn't have much to say about them or just because I forgot about them, I was reading novels before i made this account and list, so i've forgotten what i liked, disliked and what took place inside them. Mostly Korean and a few Japanese novels, I haven't and don't plan on reading any Chinese novels, i honestly can't understand the cultivation and divinity thing most... more>> of their novels have so i tend to avoid them. The list isn't in any particular order, the ones near the end are the ones i've read most recently. I will update this list and add novels i like and find worth reading everytime i discover one. Though it seems that a hundred novels is the limit on a list so I've moved on to another one with even more novels there.

This list is based on my sentimentality, memories of time well-spent, of things close to my heart. Not on the novels' quality (you should still check them all out). I will try to sort them somewhat reasonably, at least.

If you think this list is missing some novels, you should cry about it in your closet. If they aren't here, I haven't read them (or liked them enough). Prolly because they got buried in my 'to read' list. Male centric (male protagonist) novels in both modern and ancient settings, no BL unless it's a little bromance (meaning, author may have added a dash of bromance for fan service, but no actual shounen ai or yaoi included in this list). Shounen, seinen, xuanhuan, no-CP (no romance) or novels featuring a little straight romance but mostly focused on action/adventure (ie, romantic subplot). One novel is harem with a sis con, but I enjoyed the MC and plot enough that it didn't bother me too much. Another novel is harem but only depicted in the extras, which I skipped!

Majority of these had fan translations completed at some point, so you can find them on various novel aggregator websites if the chapter links are gone from NU. <<less
