I have made a review and rating for every novel I've read on novelupdates. Since they don't have the user friendly capability of sorting a user's read list by rank I made one for myself ordered by best/enjoyed the most to least. The ranking within the same number of stars may not be right because it is usually from different genres, too different to compare with each other haha. All in one spot. The bottom of the list that are my lower rated and unranked/dropped novels, I have moved to  a new list "All Novels I've Read Sorted By Rating (3 Stars & Below + Dropped)" due to a list only having a max of 100. The... more>> other weaker alternative is the Reviews section in my profile but it can only be sorted by likes and date of review not by rank. The reason I want to put my rating and reviews straight in the list is because you can't search for a specific user's review in the novel page if there are too many reviews. You will have to search one by one. Its easier to straight up  see why I put the novel in a particular list plus my review in the list itself. Sigh, novelupdates is really not user friendly.

PS: I've made another list to put all the novels I've read rated 3 Stars and below and all the dropped novels because this list is getting long. In the future, this will be basically my Top 100 list. The others will be from ranked 101 onwards. <<less

My preferred taste is FLUFFY, but I also sport for the occasional angst & tearjerker novel. Modern stories are personally easier to digest. Historical or xianxia/cultivation stories are loaded with Chinese references & I can easily get lost. However, they can be very poetic & beautiful, which is why I bear the pain of treading carefully. I love all of these novels and I hope many other people also would. Some are well known, some less, but all have their charm. There is a variety of genres so I have noted the main theme/trope since different people like different kinds. Some of these I have already read several times and some I might have not finished yet so I'll just put a note their entry is tentative if I am not sure.... more>>

I generally prefer healthier relationship so if you are a dogblood lover you might not find yourself in these. But I also can't guarantee all the ones here are healthy either...

Of course, as with any lists... it is subjective opinion. You don't have to like what others do. But if you find at least one you want to pick up, I'm glad to have helped. I'll keep this updated as I read more.

Personally, I like MC's and ML's to have equal footing in terms of their overall personality, I don't like delicate shou tropes that much. 

And in my own, very subjective opinion, these novels have really good plots, or at least most of their logic is in the bounds of normal human logic.

♡ tips for novel enjoyment (esp for newbies to the site ! ) ♡: 

♡ give each novel a fair chance even if the rating is low ! some people just rate 1 star for no reason (especially for BLs and GLs) without even reading it, which is highly unfair ! sometimes, you'll come across GOLD in the lower ratings ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

♡ check the OG novel publishing date ! older novels generally tend to have more questionable morals than ones from ~2019+, and they tend to be really cliche BECAUSE they were likely the pioneers of the genre (i.e. QT, apocalypse, etc...) you don't have to read them, but just keep that in mind !

♡ don't like? don't read ! ... But PLEASE read the synopsis and a few reviews to make sure you know what you're getting into both plot-wise and content warning-wise ! I see some people start ranting after going into a silly sweet QT novel expecting 9000+ level IQ protagonists and plots and,, i'm sorry but you're not gonna see that. manage your expectations and i assure you, you'll have a nice time! <<less
