I know many people say that there are no good novels on this site, and it oftens feels like the top lists are filled with overpowered MC's, undeveloped harems, 2D characters, and lacking plots.

There are some novels that stand out, however, whether that be for their plots, characters, or translations.

Though if you are searching for harem novels and cliche titles, then i am afraid that you've come to the wrong place and should probably find another list. I dislike harems, repetitive novels and just bad novels in general. I made this list to invalidate the claims that NU doesn't contain any good novels anymore. I know the vast majority of translated works caters to the harem/anti-hero loving part of the community, but i quite frankly dislike the vast majority of titles in those genres due to how bad they are. As a result, i have created this list to include novels that IMO stand out due the excellent execution in story beats, excellent translations/localization (English primarily) and just have good characters. [Criteria]
1. These are (mostly) 4/5 stars in story, translation and enjoyment according to my flawed evaluation that is mainly 3/10 objective, 7/10 subjective.
2. I have perused the novels or adaptation before sharing my thoughts.
3. Writing must be consistent, coherent and engaging and the ending must at least not be sh!t. Clichés to a point are fine however it needs to be purposeful & executed well. 
4. I will keep adding books that are promising, satisfying, translated.  <<less

Where the MC gets a second chance at life and becomes extremely op. FYI some might not be fully focused on romance, but I still add it because if you're like me, even if its plot is like the plot return of mount hua sect, if it has even a tiny hint of romance in the first 50 or so chaps, I'll dig that sh*t out.

FYI my review’s ratings for NU are always low standards, so if I gave it like a 4, it’ll probably mean that it’s cliche but pretty enjoyable. And a 3 is like, it’s aight but I didn’t enjoy it that much and got bored easily at some parts. And 2 is don’t even, also I change my ratings and opinions quite often once I look back on it because when I am reading it I read for pure enjoyment and not with a critical view. Like if there’s a plot hole, I just skimp over it, it’s only when I look back on it then I see the flaws. <<less

I know that there are better or worst novels it's doesn't mean you can't like and enjoy worst novels or cliche works with plot armor,generic characters, OP MC and s*upid harem, if it's fun for you go ahead, i personally like to watch bad animes sometimes, and like some people i started reading web novels from the usual Cultivation/Xianxia/Chinese novels, after a while i was tired of the same structure and similar plot from the common chinese cultivation novels, so my taste changed and nowadays i look for other things when i try to read something.

And i do have my guilty pleasure, i do enjoy some isekai or transmigating novels that exist, even though sometimes the system or the world doesn make sense lmao.

Dont mind the number of ranking after the top 3 that actually are my top 3 ever, my favorite novels, the others their positions don't matter that much, however they actually are in the right positions based on what i like the most, but this isnt the list about THE TOP 20 NOVELS AND THERE ARENT BETTER NOVELS THAN THE ONES IN THIS LIST... or something like that.
