To be fair, i am not actually a fan of light novel. but, there are still some gems in this site that i genuinely like. Novels on this list are mostly korea and china, since i really hate jp light novel and their troupe (harem, boring generic op MC, forgettable world building,...). if you can find some good jp ln, please tell me. Collection of well-written works which aren't generically written garbage that completely falls apart after the beginning. Too many novels on this site are simply clickbait with an interesting hook but shortly devolve into a mess of poorly developed ideas with badly planned pacing.  Mother of Learning: Timeloop fantasy story, IMHO one of the best time loop stories I've seen. 

Beware of the Chicken:  Cultivation parody, MC is transferred into a "bullied" cultivator's body and immediately quits his sect and says "F*ck this shit, imma heading out" and goes and lives or tries to live an ordinary life. <<less

I made a list that includes what I considered the best of the best but I slowly built up a sizable list of novels that I wouldn't consider "great" but were a pleasant/tolerable read regardless. I have added my commentary and reasoning as to why it deserves to be on this list.

Here are also other novels that are not available on novel updates:

Shadow s*ave: A fresh take on normal WN-like worldbuilding, bringing together in my opinion Korean vibes with western fantasy. There is a clear grand theme that the novel is working towards, which is slowly revealed throughout the novel and offers a detective type feeling of awe when a big secret is revealed. The stakes are high, and every reveal feels super grand. The people are real, or at the very least they stick to their characters and motivations. The author describes the feats of the characters extremely well. Like, I feel that MC is a genius, but other characters are absolutely no slouches. I am amazed by the authors ability to describe their supernatural though processes and tactics. I have never read Berserk, but I feel like the author took inspiration from that on how to properly describe a hopeless situation, and still end up coming on top, which happens often. Deserved hype.

isekai in any form (reincarnation etc.),  game elements, overpowered protagonist, country building and management, army building, modern knowledge in fantasy world and technological gap, crafting .

MC is pretty much always in control, always has a plan and always ends up on top. Or just has plot armor.

I don't exclude harems (even bad ones), if novel is good by itself. 

No yaoi. No pure wuxia or xianxia.

I don't include novels that are too short (less than 20-100 chapters depending on chapter length).

Some of novels may not be available on NU or be incomplete, but they are somewhere in web.

Novels are mainly Korean or Japanese. There are some Chinese novels included but they are either heavily west-influenced or not cultivation oriented. Basically, they are not Chinese-heavy if You know what I mean. The World Online is the only exception, as I simply skipped most of boring chapters.

Novels are kind of sorted best to "worst", though last novels on list my be unsorted at all. <<less
