It is a theme in many novels. In almost every novel, ML starts out as a Scum*! But there are different types of scum* ... some more acceptable (in context), others intolerable and unforgivable!

They are described as handsome, cold, dominating, powerful, intelligent, ambitious, arrogant, proud, heartless ... However, ironically, they can be easily deceived by misunderstandings, evil suspicions and "the pitiful white lotus"...  and end up mistreating, harming, hurting, abusing, poisoning or torturing FL unfairly. ლಠ益ಠ)ლ

Later, when the truth is revealed, they regret everything they have done, discover that they love FL and cannot live without her! They change to be the best male for FL! Humpf! But it is so late ... hahaha a joke! t(=n=)

We like to see them suffering, begging, crawling ... but it is never enough! Or, unfortunately, they don't even suffer from anything, they don't beg for anything but they keep the girl in the end! (ಠ ∩ಠ)

Honestly just a cluster of different stories that fall under this title that I enjoyed. I love humorous stories, so you will notice that is a theme. I also like mu*der mysteries, transmigration, some otome/villainess, and gaming genres. This is my first list, so it is fairly unorganized but I left comments on a few directly relating them to others. Note that some of these stories start out fairly serious and do not become fluffy or comedic till much later in the reading. Feel free to comment any recommendations you may have for me after seeing my preferences! It is greatly appreciated. 

During my free time, I’ll add scores between 1-5 on how worthwhile they are to read. 1) Only read if you’re bored to absolute tears; 2) it’s an okay read, some dissatisfying parts, not a priority at all; 3) Not particularly bad or good, just something to pass the time when you have a long trip (it won’t feel like an absolute waste of time or make you feel particularly dissatisfied after reading); 4) Good read that you should read; 5) Excellent/MUST read. If the score contains a .5, then it could go in either direction of the whole numbers it’s closest to. Keep in mind, none of the novels listed here are awful. Some are definitely better than others, but all of them have their own merits.  <<less

these novels have low rating... just because the readers found ML or FL was horribly unsuited to their taste. They hate protagonists being too cruel, dense, not showing PDA, not mushy-mushy, etc... in general, most of the low rating abandoned the time setting (usually ancient kingdom --which was, if you are not too much illiterate person, very much patriarchal and feudalistic. ... more>>

Some just got low rating because of scenes/arcs in it... those people who gave these kind of rating just tooo much. If you didn't like some novels because they did have certain thing, make sure you see their tags. Bad mouthing author for including r*pe in his/her novel without seeing the same tag is there, on top part of novel description on NU list. So funny, Some novels with abusive and r*pe in it got relatively hi rating just because vistim n perperator then become lover, all chummy, lovey-dowey.. etc. Duh.  <<less
