All the novels that I have read (or reading at the moment) that I like very much, almost all of them are isekai though.

isekai in any form (reincarnation etc.),  game elements, overpowered protagonist, country building and management, army building, modern knowledge in fantasy world and technological gap, crafting .

MC is pretty much always in control, always has a plan and always ends up on top. Or just has plot armor.

I don't exclude harems (even bad ones), if novel is good by itself. 

No yaoi. No pure wuxia or xianxia.

I don't include novels that are too short (less than 20-100 chapters depending on chapter length).

Some of novels may not be available on NU or be incomplete, but they are somewhere in web.

Novels are mainly Korean or Japanese. There are some Chinese novels included but they are either heavily west-influenced or not cultivation oriented. Basically, they are not Chinese-heavy if You know what I mean. The World Online is the only exception, as I simply skipped most of boring chapters.

Novels are kind of sorted best to "worst", though last novels on list my be unsorted at all. <<less

The MC is summoned to another world, only to be told, that the summoners "made a mistake" and... more>> that the MC isn't the Hero/Saint because they either have a skill deemed as useless or are otherwise different from the summoners' preconceived idea of the Hero/Saint. This leads to the MC being increasingly scorned and ridiculed, until they are eventually abandoned by the very group that brought them here. Generally, the MC then either makes a discovery about their seemingly tr*sh skill or otherwise obtains something that makes them into an OP cheat. <<less

Disclaimer: Some of these novels are extremely cliche, loved, and hated on. Aka, you DON'T have to like all of them, or even any of them really. These are just some of the more well-know novels that, I believe, are all worth checking out (lol mainly because of the amount of reads and reviews they have ;P). This list introduces the various popular/common/cliche tropes and genres of the translated novels community. I just want to point out the fact that this list is supposed to cover a wide range of genres and audiences. It doesn't cover everything, but I think most of them are here. I enjoyed these, and I think it's a good place to start reading from. (I tried to have novels for both male/female preferences). While some of these novels may be long, that does not mean you have to finish the entire thing -_- , if you enjoy it, good, keep on reading! If you don't enjoy it, then stop, no one's forcing you to continue.

The list is in no particular order, although I did try to put them into categories ... that kinda worked, ish. Some of these novels are officially licensed, so you may have to get the rest of the chapters from other sources (Google and *cough* aggregate websites *cough*).

I tend to avoid novels that I feel are highly s*xual or too edgy as they just make me cringe too much. I believe the novels I read are generally of a mature tone that treat their audience with respect without being too overbearing or sad. I find that many of the stories that market themselves as "mature" on this site tend to be excessively depressing or just plain violent. I have no problem with depressing truths or violence in my stories if it has a point or some value to the plot but I hate when stories add that type of stuff just to make the story seem more mature. I read books to be happy and for personal enjoyment, so if I don't feel better after reading something, I won't read it. I have also read way too many novels to be able to stand any excessively cliche stories that just reuse plot element from other stories with new gimmicks. 

If it sounds like your preferences match mine, this might be the list for you.

These are game element stories (mostly with level systems) that are either action-packed or great on the power fantasy side of things -- the MCs either begin OP or gradually become OP. You won't find any pushover MCs here, either, or MCs that waste chapter after chapter chasing skirts. Don't judge these by their covers -- some are a lot better than the cover art would lead you to think, like Night Ranger, which I put off reading for a long time.
