I prioritize stories with well written characters, well written plots, and not repetitive. If the story has that all but doesn't have the "cool" otherwordly feel that we all seek for in this novels, it will not be in here.

PS: I will not include yaoi, yuri or Female Lead novels, since I don't usually read those. <<less

Don't expect many harems with characters who can't think for themselves or fall in love with the MC before page 1. Many might have a slow moving plot... have to invest yourself into the characters to find the tragic, beautiful and poignant!... more>>

Stories full of holes but somehow you gladly fall for them. A hidden gem once you pass by their weaknesses. (No particular order)

Good story before all. This automatically excludes several genres and tags. You know who you are.

I value my time. These are worth reading, because they either enrich you (cathartic moments, plural) or consistently show you something worthwhile.

My preference: Meandering slow-burn novels like Mao Ni's stuff get extra points. Harem/romance/face-slapping power fantasies get minus points. Completed novels get bonus points, and terrible endings get points knocked off. Also plus points for character building friends/family/enemies and down points for solo yolo.
