Even though this novel isn't as well received in most novel websites and usually don't make it to the top of charts, it still will remain number 1 in my heart, with a main character that is willing to do what he has to do to accomplish what he needs to, as will as no conventional author golden thumb helping the way. Most authors want to milk the most out of a novel idea and just keep the novel going cough cough I am not gonna list 90 percent of the novels that is on this website but I am sure you know some. Ending the novel is the most difficult thing to achieve in any kind of writing, as the time period you spend writing the novel isn't even close to the amount of time of reading the novel, so most authors don't know how to end a novel and don't know when to end a novel. I believe that most good novels needs an ending, as all stories should, not go on eternally, as unlike the protagonists in novels... I don't have an eternality . Well, now I don't know how not to spoil the novel without giving too little information but here is the attempt. 

Have you ever wondered what humans could accomplish in the future? If you guessed one of them to be computing chips that would have processing powers equivalent to a quantum computer? Then you are probably wrong. But in this novel, that falsehood is merely the truth. And now imagine what you would do when you got a portable quantum computer that followed you because it merged with your soul to a cultivation world? 

All right I am gonna stop talking sh*t about my favorite novel before I punch myself here. Leylin is a cold calculative genius. Like your classic antihero main protagonists, however what separates him from the rest is his abilities to not rely on author's golden thumb aka luck to get through most scenarios. Most antihero clever protagonists novels just yada yadas over all the important details and this novel has IMO the best cultivation power balance. Most cultivation novels either makes the effort to get to the level seem not worth it, or bend the power level in the main character's favor, but the level system in this novel will make you feel satisfied with the amount of effort the protagonist put in and what he gets out of it. Maybe not the gods section as that was just the author watching one piece and said I want that and then brought religion into it, it however did not dull the story as it brought subsistence to it with the bullshit. Also the original synopsis is garbage, not worthy of how good the novel is. Not like mine was much better, but hey, at least I didn't just act like I was some kind of 8 years old willful girl who didn't want daddy to give her the cupcake because the cupcake's frosting had no glitters on it. <<less

Honestly, I did not know what to put for my second favorite novel. But this one always stayed on my mind despite the fact that it is not fully translated and might take a few years from when this review was made in order to finish. It was one of the first novels I have read besides 'I got Reincarnated and Mistaken as a Genius?'. This is when I was super into video-games and basically just grinded WoW for the entirety of my time. And this novel basically brought me into reading online novels. I used to only read books and maybe sometimes I would buy some books to listen to off Audible. Who knows,... more>> maybe I would have only gotten into LN and WN later in life if I wasn't into novels as I was with this one. One of the things people would regret the most is not discovering something or someone earlier in life. And this novel perhaps saved me from the various times of boredom and perhaps even the depressing reality I was in at the time. If you like to play video-games and like to read op main characters that may or may not have hoarding tendencies that leads to funny interactions when his little Miss finds out about how OP he really is. Well before I go, I do feel a need to do a synopsis on this novel, even thought I read it about 2 years ago and am not gonna read it until it finish translating. Wait, before that I need to address how god damn lazy I really am. I am multilingual, and one of them happens to be Chinese, and I love this novel, when I realized it wouldn't finish translating until 4 years I was so depressed, no better words to describe it, AND I can read the raws... I know I am a ret*rd and I just didn't want to spend the time to get used to the people's names and how it is worded in Chinese, well besides my rant, here is the synopsis. 

A security guard who happens to be a post special agent, who happens to be a bodyguard, who happens to be a S.W.A.T member, who happens to be an auxiliary police officer, who happens to be a traffic police officer, who happens to enter a room with a person of the opposite gender whom he was suppose to bodyguard, who happens to be poor to the point of needing every cent he can get his hands on, who happens to get a gaming helmet due to the need of protecting Miss from within the game, who happens to be a god at the game, who happens to be really good at a lot of the other things that exists in the world, who also happens to be lucky enough to be a lot of the first in the game. Well do you get the point yet? Oh yea, did I mention that he also happens to be really good at swordsman ship? 

At this point I need to really sit down and worship him real quick *prays*give me all that gaming skills *prays*

Edit: Oh yea, disclaimer; Many novels use the third person point of view instead of first for immersion as well as it being the dominant type of writing people generally use. However, this novel is in first person point of view, which could cause some discomfort for many.

Another antihero? Wow your taste is bland. Trust me, next one won't be antihero, but this novel is too great to pass up. Also don't get deceived by 42 available chapter that is currently shown on novelupdates, it's a lie, a lie that I am going to expose. Go on any other novel website and you will find 200+ waiting for you. Also the tags are not exactly showing what this novel is all about, so I am going to reorganize, or perhaps explain the novel's tags. Number one, Psychological, probably the most important tag. It relates to the fact that the main character of the story changes over time, from perhaps an everyday, regular... more>> person, to one that is worthy of praise from perhaps even Lucifer himself. This however does not mean he is evil. It purely means that he is skillful in the art of insanity to the point where Satan even feels slight bit of sympathy for him. Second tag, Seinen, I can't agree with this more, really, perhaps if you are older than 30 you will think the personality of the main character is unrealistic, and If you are younger than 14 then perhaps you will fear the story. But if you are in the other 20 percent of age group, this is a great novel for you. Comedy, this is more of a dark humor than anything else, there are not going to be any funny scenes where someone cracks a fat joke about some other event that happened for sure, more like the humor used in dense protagonists but this novel doesn't really have a love interest that is worthy of the main character so the humor will only happen occasionally. Well I could go on and on about the tags but I would just like to add a few. My choice would be Mature and maybe horror. Well, this story can't be told by tags is what I have learnt, so I would just go with the synopsis. 

Lee Ho Jae, a normal teenager who happens to decide that, hey maybe choosing the hardest difficulty in tutorial is a good idea in real life! He was forced to take the consequences of his actions by getting through the stages that would usually have a 0 percent pass rate in super mario maker. He is forced to change himself overtime to adapt to the environment, damaging himself in order to level up his regeneration, poison himself to the point of being on the edge of death and even some other thing I didn't forget because I read this novel a year ago and forgot about it so you are gonna have to read the novel. If you like a challenge, if you like following the growth of a main character, then you will love this story. 

Well, my synopsis is not giving this novel enough credit for what it deserves. But in order to write a synopsis without spoiling the novel, this is probably the best I can do. So bear with it and read the novel if you can't.  <<less

Chinese novel, through and through. Ze Tian Ji aka The way of choices can only described by being a Chinese novel. If not, then it is a novel that would only be considered as being some book that you might come across in school when your teachers force you to read. Why is it like a book that you would read in school? Good question. Well, this book has many MANY symbolism and MANY motifs , like the green light at the end of the dock in The Great Gatsby, or perhaps the rabbit in Of Mice and Men. This novel was written by a old writer about youth, about how he feels as he is growing older and older. I can only describe this novel as a puzzle, perfectly falling together as the story goes on. The fact that there is only 2 tags for this novel just hurts. As I would put A LOT more on there. Drama??? Xuanhuan??? pretty sure those two are on the bottom of my list of tags to be put into this novel. Jesus, what next? Xuanhuan tag on Reincarnation of the strongest sword god? ... Oh I just checked, they really put that tag in. On a novel, that basically has the realms that get's your reaction speed up... the realms are legit based on the body's inherent reaction speed and the mental reaction speed... until domains, where it doesn't make sense anymore, but that is for another time. WoMW doesn't have a tag that is either Xianxia, Xuanhua, and Wuxia? Who places tags on these novels anyway??? Well, tags aside this novel is great at character building. Absolutely amazing in a sense as it all fits so well together. If you are looking for a novel that has the least number of plot holes and the most realistic feeling with careful editing by the author to the point that I can't believe this isn't a book (I totally can, it was publish in China which means the rights to be published as an English book is slim to none) that is used in school curriculum. This is a novel that will change your outlook in life, it will shape your character and it will change you as a whole, see the world in a new way. A wonderful feeling, that is only possible to be imagined by those who experienced it. (Don't do drugs kids) Well, before I run out of word counts let me do the synopsis. 

"You have an illness, you will not live pass the age of 20"

A boy who was abandoned on the river (supposedly), was picked up by his senior brother as they were both attacked by a golden dragon, whom thirsted for the boy's blood. His master then showed up and came face to face with this monster. With merely one word "MOO" (Reference to LoH'sP if anyone is wondering) forced the dragon to retreat. When it was time for his 14 birthday, he decided to try to change his fate.

(Edit:Two) I simply feel as though I am not giving this novel the credit it deserves, so here I am editing this, I have reread this novel 3 times, over the period of about 3 years or more. Each time I learn more about the plot, world building and character development. That applies to a lot of novels I read, however this is one of those novels that, despite knowing the development, it still could appeal to you. If I was given the option to change how my list is numbered, oh yea btw just as I am writing this sentence, I realized there IS a way to change it, shown by the obvious number 4, but I can't be bothered, because then I to reconsider and makeup my mind about whether not to change it, I really would love to move it up, but the novels above is nostalgia, so I can't bring myself to do it. If I were to make a list now, this would be within my top 3, if I were to be objective about it and not include nostalgia, perhaps top 2, (nostalgia is too strong with WoMW, there is no way I can remove it from the 1st place despite the fact that mere moments ago I promised to not bring my nostalgia as a part of the judging... thing?) Why is it so good you may ask? Why did you come back to edit this page where no one is going to care about you ask? Good question, I have an answer for the first question, but not really the second. My response to the first question, is that because I reread the novel, and I can now add to my recommendation, I feel as though comparing this novel to a school assigned book could trigger some rather unhappy memories in people, and here is to clarify what I mean. Most books that are read in school are edited again and again maybe somewhere between 50 to 100 times between the author and the editors and the various publication processes, it is more than common that the book would have no mistakes in anything that it would try to do, which is what I would say about this novel, it is to the point of perfection, it is written on the author's death bed, in his recollection of youth, his last work, how could it not be absolutely perfect? How could it be any less than perfection? It is something mentioned in his epilogue of the story, it truly wonderful how humans could bring out such a piece of work in the face of the inevitable. It is something I cannot imagine myself doing, finishing a last piece of work, not knowing whether or not it would be perfect to others. Read this novel, go you don't need anymore. Oh yea coming back now I see that there is no such thing as a word limit anymore, there used to be like a 10k character limit, in which I would use it all up in the reviews, but ayyy now I don't need to worry about it, poggggggggg.  <<less

Another novel on Novelupdates that has more chapters than what is shown on your screen. More than 1600+ chapters are available currently on m.wuxiaworld.co as of the time this review was written. Number 5 was really a tough one to choose. So many good novels, it just hurts me to place them into order into how good they are. Also thank you to whoever fixed the way they had coded the way the reviews work, now I don't have to cut the entire paragraph out in order to edit or add one thing. This novel stands at 3.5 stars on Novelupdates; In my off time, I sometimes also read other people's lists, which lead to... more>> me sharing mine, and many of the lists are missing this golden novel, however I have seen this one many of the other lists as well, which all tends to say how good this novel is and how well it is written and how it doesn't deserve only 3.5 stars. How does anyone or Novelupdates grade a novel? By how well the storyline is written? How the Characters develop? By how many stars the novel gets in its origin country? Honestly, no one knows. Webnovels lean towards dramas, novelplanet lean towards action, adventures and Xuanhuan. Gravity Tales lean towards Chinese Xianxias (I am still salty that Gravity Tales or its translators decided to drop Zhan Long and Black Card) Novelupdates seems to depend on how many reader it gets, which I will never understand how it calculates how many readers there are. Like does it only count accounts that are created already and clicking on the links or a person without an account will be allowed as well. Well in the end all that doesn't matter. All that matters are when you read a novel whether you enjoy it or not. Which comes down to this, why would I place this novel in the 5th spot of the list? Well, when I saw the synopsis on Webnovels I instantly got turned off by, and I quote, "Sacred-blood creature black beetle killed. Beast soul of sacred-blood black beetle gained. Eat the meat of sacred-blood black beetle to gain 0 to 10 geno points randomly." When you see that sentence, first thing you can question is that HE IS GOING TO EAT THE MEAT OF A BLACK BEETLE??? And then you proceed and see that you gain 0 to 10 geno points randomly. Anytime I see any author use a number system that accumulates exp or some kind of points, I just believe that there is no way they will keep tally of it to be fair and not just be like the main character looks into his system and boom perfectly even number 10000/2000000 comes out. This novel is the first that I have seen that really kept track of the numbers.  Currently at 1679 chapters completed with 3462 chapters in its entirety in raws with 2 chapters per day, it will take 2.44 years to finish, aka Friday February 4, 2022 Why am I bring this up right now even though I haven't brought it up before in the reviews? Well first, because the novels above was either completed or inconsistent in update speed. And second, the plot of the novel is really deep, IMO. Not a plot that would be Sherlock Holmes per say, but deep enough for you to keep reading till you can't anymore. Which is what I did. In which I had to take a break and read later. So if you can't stop the crave for more then this might be too much like a drug addiction. If you can control yourself then this part is just for you to sight see. I can only recommend this as a good read if you have a bit of time on your hand to read through a lot of it aka binge read. Well, let's do this synopsis.

First of all, before reading this, go watch the anime right now. I am serious. I don't watch anime any longer, however, this one is worth the time. Even if you despise anime, I would still insist on you trying it out. As this is one of the novels that received a really good anime remake. Perhaps I need to make an anime list to watch as well, but if there are good anime adaptations for novels on this list I will mention it. 90 chapters hmm who checks for these chapters and how do they check it? All of the chapters on The King's Avatar is on webnovels... Well the only way for this to happen... Is probably that webnovels blocked or taken the right to put the chapters out... but then shouldn't the currently available chapters go down as well? Now I am just confused. I can't even describe how good it was to read it after reading this novel 2 years ago, my god... this is why I shouldn't be a book writer, I can't reiterate what I feel to the readers. I express my emotions most thoroughly through curses, which is not what I am going to do here. But **** this is good. Too bad novelupdates hasn't gotten The King’s Avatar – For The Glory as a part of the database, or I would add it to the REC list. Oh yea, since I am a MOBA player, namely league of legend, the author also has a novel about MOBA game called The king's Moment, I haven't touched it yet, because it is only 80 chapters translated as the moment of this edit, but I can only imagine how good it is, can't wait to wait for 5 years for it to fully come out and get translated.    <<less
