________SUMMARY: The FL, Su Xiaoman, finds herself being reborn in the 1970s as a newly wedded cannon fodder from a historical novel about two educational youths. The original owner of her body was the type to love the poor and disdain the rich. And accordingly, after ended up being married to the ML (Xie Mingtu), was very unhappy. There's a lot more going on in the background, but the main point is that Su Xiaoman's transmigration is pretty tricky. The ML at this stage had not yet been abused by the original owner, but he had been beaten down by his fake adoptive parents. Knowing of what would happen to the ML in the future, the FL is sympathetic and decides to live as a pseudo-husband and wife with him for now. And so the story proceeds in this way. With an optimistic but rather simple FL without high ambitions slowly cleaning up a highly talented/genius ML who had been buried under the mud.

________THOUGHTS: First things first, in terms of quality, I'd say it's not bad. It's a simple and cute romance. The experience would have been better if the TL is a little cleaner (the current TL is edited MTL, I think, the quality is okay, but needs some editing.) The MTL is readable but a lot of the jokes and nuance is also lost, making it difficult to truly judge the story without any bias. I deciding to give this novel a rating anyway because I'm not sure I'll be rereading it in the future. It's not my type of novel, after all. It's too vanilla for my taste. That is, if you enjoy simple romances where there's no real goal or direction, just an account of the min character's sweet daily life, then by all means! This novel is definitely for you. As for me, I enjoyed it well enough (mainly because I thought the characters were pretty interesting), though it's definitely nowhere close to being a favorite. On the one hand, I thought the premise was interesting and the overall development kinda fun. On the other hand, the inconsistencies and the plot holes made it kind of difficult to read DX. Summary: As is stated in the summary, the FL, Ji Qingqing, is a transmigrator. Her soul was transferred to the cannon fodder in a novel about a heroine making it big in the industry. The original owner was petty and all about money, and conflicted with the original heroine constantly, leading to her bad end. The SYSTEM goes to her first, but it didn’t stay. All it did was persuade her to marry the ML, Lu Lixing. Meanwhile, the ML is someone who is on the verge of death and in need of help beyond what modern medicine is capable of. He’s the main focus of the system, and the plot is pretty much him striving to complete missions while the FL messes up his plans for one dumb reason and another.

If you’re looking for a simple slice of slice with a little bit of Fantasy mixed in, this is not bad. As mentioned in the intro, it’s kind of clumsy in some areas, making it a bit difficult to read. But all in all, it’s okay. The TL is pretty good too, so there’s no reason to not give it a try if you have the interest. Just be aware of the story’s bad points and prepare yourself mentally for some frustration LOLOL. As for my rating of this novel... I might not have finished, but I think I made it way past the halfway point. So I’m giving this... hmm. 3.25/5 stars. Not quite good enough to round up to four stars. But I've been running out of things to read recently XD and so I decided to give this is a shot. All in all? Not bad. At the very least, it kept me interested till the end. _________SUMMARY: A modern-day woman transmigrates into the concubine daughter of a country magistrate called Qiao Xuan. The original owner was unappreciated by her family, and had even been forced to marry a poor scholar from a rural village. The time she transmigrates happens to be on the night of the original owner's wedding. The original owner had hung herself, and after being 'saved', it was the FL who woke up. From then on, the FL began to live her life, prospering quietly, little by little. She has wood abilities to back her up, though she hides it very well, only using it when absolutely necessary. In time, not only will she and her husband make their way to the capital, but they'll also climb over the quarreling princes in the fight for the throne._________THOUGHTS: The story is quite wide-reaching. And this is why I ended up liking it. I've always loved epic-length stories that drag on and on LOLOL. Of course, I know that not everyone feels the same, and I didn't rate the novel highly because of it. Well, that and the novel's other flaws. For example, the story's main characters are actually rather under-utilized. They're ignored for the bigger picture, and there's not character development at all, just character conflicts and drama. The ML, specifically, felt like a cardboard cutout. The FL never really trusted him, she never told him about her abilities, which made me question his loyalty to her, time and time again. He's meant to be super smart, but he doesn't notice her actions at all?? (At some point, I came up with a conspiracy that he knew all along LMAO and that he just took advantage of it and never said anything. I mean, since she didn't trust him, why would he trust her in return in this regard??? Of course, I know that's not the case, the ML stated in his POV that he didn't know, but still, I had to resort to this kind of thinking to avoid disliking the FL too much LMFAO.)okay, BUT that rant aside. There are other places that the other suffers. Too many to really count right now. The golden finger wood abilities, for example, because the FL doesn't tell the ML, is so underutilized it feels pointless most of the time. It's just a convenient plot device to rush the pacing of the story. And oh, speaking of the pacing of the story, it's all over the place. I had to skip so many chapters where the same content is repeated again and again (I mean, to be fair, the chapters are pretty short. Each chapter is worth like 1/3rd of a regular chapter. So this story is actually not as long as you'd expect based on the chapter count.) But yeah.Anyway, I say all this to prepare you for the fact that: YES, this story is very flawed. Don't expect it to be anything like the stories you've read in the past. You'll only be disappointed. I went into the novel knowing this, and so I ended up reading till the end (low expectations naturally made me think more highly of the points I liked LMFAO). _________RATING: 3.25/5OVERALL, simply for the fact that I enjoyed it in my own way (the business management, poor-to-rich aspect, etc.) despite the rating is still 3/5 stars. To be Frank … The script reads like your typical stallion novel script, except it was diverted because of a sand-sculpture FL as the main POV character XD. _____________SUMMARY: The FL, Luo Xiaoluo, was just your normal, average girl when the apocalypse hit Earth. She was timid and had no one to back her, leaving her especially vulnerable during the end times. Because of this, she ended up being forced to sell her body in order to survive. Her life couldn't be said to be the most miserable, since she was a water-ability user, but it's true that she's very different from the pure virg*n mary typically portrayed by reborn heroines XD. Her heart is cold because she had accepted the bitterness of the apocalypse -- not because of the typical betrayal of any so-called 'closest' relatives or friends, like the typical storylines. 

Anyway, when she was reborn, her main goal was just to grow stronger so that she wouldn't have to rely on men completely like she did in the past (though, of course, she still believes in hugging a strong thigh as her backer). For a whole year, she trained and stocked up on some goods for the future. What she did not expect was that she would meet a strong backer before the end of the world even came. That is ... the ML (Ji Shitian). A running gag in the novel is the ML's undeniable protagonist halo XD. He's written like your typical YY novel protagonist (blessed with good luck, natural talent that goes against the heavens, handsome looks, and of course, a harem of beautiful women to serve him XD). He's really different from the usual ML in romance novels, suffice to say.

__________THOUGHT: I think what most people have trouble with in the story is the ML's character? I thought he was interesting, actually. He's definitely a slag man, just like another reviewer said. But I thought it was quite novel that he was portrayed in such a way. At least, it's unique!!! Of course, him being the way he does hinders the heroine's growth a bit, but I also thought that was fitting (because if he wasn't like that, and was just completely devoted to her from the very beginning, it would be even worse! At least, she had something to compare to at all times LMAO. Of course, I can't say for sure that such a development even happened in the story, since I stopped right about when they got together --- for no other reason than the fact that I thought it was very anti-climatic.) It's true that I was disappointed by the way they suddenly got together T.T I was enjoying the initial banter and 'platonic' interactions between them quite a bit *sigh*.

Anyway, I'm dropping this novel for now. But since I've confirmed that it's readable (btw, the MTL is not bad and the TL -- which is edited MTL -- is also not bad. I mean, it's definitely not the cleanest, but it's much much better than your usual MTL) I'll be coming back to reread it in the future! As for the rating, I decided to give it a 3.2/5 rating. It's really not as bad as its current rating on novelupdates would imply. Just a bit out of the box. (And, oh, I almost forgot to mention, the author does have a habit of going towards subplots -- which is also a big part of why I stopped reading in the end XD. It's really a bit annoying.) <<less

3.15/5!!! [Transmigration, Political Intrigue, Drama, Historical] It’s different from what I was expecting. I thought it would be a poor-to-rich/slice of life novel for the most part. But it ended up being mostly political intrigue and drama. The main premise that the MC transmigrates into a girl with a mysteries background. This girl had washed up in a rural village and everyone expected her to die, so they decided to marry her off to the village’s scholar — who was also near death — to improve luck. As a modern woman, her initial goal is to live a comfortable life and make some money. But she ends up not minding her marriage to the handsome... more>> but prickly scholar Ning (the ML) who also has a mysterious background.

The rest of the story focuses mainly on drama and intrigue, as mentioned. Starting with some petty drama with villagers all the way to more bloody rivalries with noble families. I can’t say I like the FL very much. She’s the kind that’s incomprehensibly good at a bunch of random things (which always come up when convenient). I was okay with it at first, but there’s a mind boggling amount of skills she was capable of LOL. The ML is more of an accessory, he doesn’t really do much except express his possessiveness (which is instigated by the FL’s “obliviousness”). As for the supporting MLs, one likes her for her “uniqueness” (different from other girls syndrome lolol)... so yeh?

It’s a fun read if you like drama and intrigue! There’s lots of good tension and face slapping. Enough to keep you interested! Otherwise, I don’t recommend it if you’re looking for a poor-to-rich novel or a romance novel. <<less

My thoughts on the story are so-so. The initial premise is fun and I expected more, but the FL is a spoiled Mary Sue… and the ML is mostly an accessory that constantly talks about how beautiful and sweet his 'younger sister' is… lolol! I enjoyed the drama and I was waiting for the eventual downfall and of the real daughter of the Marquis, but overtime I lost interest and the characters were not realistic enough to make me care for them.

The TL is a little hard to read btw, like around 85%(?) readable, but the detailed footnotes were nice! <<less

Unfortunately, I stopped midway temporarily and I lost all interest after the break XD But! If there hadn’t been that distraction, I would have probably just continued reading this novel, no matter how tr*shy it is. In this way, I guess you can describe it as a pretty... good read? Summary: This story’s heroine is called Bai Xiangxiu/Mistress Xiu. She’s a transmigrator who was in the process of reading a dogblooded novel about a runaway protagonist and an unrelenting titled general (Prince Li/ Long Heng AKA the ML of this novel). By some mysterious reason, she finds herself waking up as the Mistress Xiu of the novel she was reading. Mistress Xiu was the 4th concubine of the ML, and she died miserably because she got in the way of the love between the original!FL and the ML. Knowing the original owner’s ending very well, the heroine does all that she can to avoid this fate. Her initial plan is to stay as far away from the ML as possible and curry favor with the secondary male lead, but things end up not working quite as she planned.

The FL is the biggest offender in this, but it should be said that her choices do have reasons, they’re just a bit flaky at times.Be prepared for everyone constantly getting hurt XD. ALL in all, the story is fun to read but not very good. I can see why there are so many negative comments LOL. This is definitely a tr*sh novel. Although the characters are annoying, there’s no doubt that there’s a reason for everything that they do (even if the reason is a bit unrealistic at times). At least, the author doesn’t completely abandon their profiles. The romance, is a bit horrible, gotta say. But I thought it was interesting to see a direct confrontation between a modern woman and an ancient man. Their differences were very clearly depicted during the development, which was nice. The setting is a bit of a mess. And the plot equally so... However, the story is not the worst! It’s fine to read it if you have the opportunity and don’t mind the triggering subjects. <<less

It’s a novel with lots of plot holes and a Mary Sue MC, so I didn’t expect much in the first place, but I still enjoyed checking it out! The premise of the novel is that the FL (Lin Tantan), who comes from a futuristic society after an apocalypse, travels back in time right when the apocalypse was just beginning. She knows quite a lot about the trajectory of history from here because she’s a big fan of Ye Xiao (ML), who is considered the hero of those... more>> times. As his biggest fan, she goes looking for him and the adventure starts from there.

The FL is your typical, virg*n Mary, ditzy type. Manic pixie dream girl LOLOL. She brings light to the ML’s life and is super powerful. I didn’t mind it so much cause it made for some pretty amusing moments, but you might based on your preferences! As for the plot holes, it all comes down to the worldbuilding not being straight enough. But well, the detailed writing does make up for it, so even if some things don’t make sense, I can ignore it by focusin on other things LOLOL.

Altogether, while it might not be the best novel I’ve read, as a fan of Apocalyptic CN novels, I couldn’t resist giving it a shot! The MTL is not bad (70% readable), so I read for quite a while. Stopped because I got bored, as mentioned, but my overall view is positive. As for my final rating... I think this deserves a 3.1/5 stars! <<less

It's hard to describe the novel since it's a bit all over the place. I guess you can call it focusing mostly on family drama? The novel is plot-driven, but it's the kind where the development kind of meanders around with no real endpoint. It's just one odd twist after another XD.THE FL: The FL in this one is okay. Her name is Shen Ziqiao, and she's the wild and foolish daughter of General Shen. Her mother died early, her grandmother treated her unkindly, and she was in love with the 9th prince to the point of obsession. I thought it was interesting at first that the FL ends up just blatantly doing what she wants without paying attention to any etiquette, but obviously, that flys only because the historical setting of this novel is unrealistic. After a while, I slowly got tired of got tired of her handling of things. She's meant to be an adult transmigrator, but her actions are all very childish. Even when she's grown up, she acts like she's constantly throwing a tantrum.THE ML: As for the ML his setup is a bit clumsy. He feels kind of like an add-on. I don't dislike him, don't get me wrong! But he's the type of ML that's there to look good and act possessively. He also falls for the FL because "she's different from other girls" LMAO.OVERALL: It's a bit of a train wreck but it's not to the point of being unreadable. Don't expect it to be of good work, it's really messy! And it also includes a lot of messy ideas (for example, the age gap. The ML starts of 18-20s while the FL is 13, and the ML starts displaying interest in her very early. The FL doesn't do anything till she's of age, but there's a suggestive scene where a girl of 13 years does the do on screen.) So yeah, this novel has quite a few problems outside of just the messy plot and characters. But well, it's a good tr*shy read, if you know what I mean XD.Rating: 3/5TBH, I went into this novel with low expectations. And because of that, I was able to find some interest in it. AH but, regardless, I thought it was a pretty okay read if you're just looking for something light and simple. Oh, and BTW. The TL is edited MTL, I think, so you might want to just jump into MTL-ing the novel directly (if you plug it into Google Translate, it's pretty readable. Only the gender pronouns were a bit of a problem.)Summary: A softhearted little young mistress (Jiang Suisui) that died early due to sickness, ends up getting a second chance in life after transmigrating into the body of the cannon fodder that insisted on marrying Song Wengzhao (who is the ML). The background of the OG novel is a little confusing, but the main gist of it is that the heroine, Jiang Miaomaio, ends up time travelling back in time in order to pursue the Song Wengzhao. The two clash in the past, which is the basic first arc, before the attention is drawn to other dramas that's going on with the other people around them.If you like Slice of Life novels with lots of drama and face-slapping, this isn't bad. The quality is not the best, that's for sure. But that may work just right if you're just looking to turn off your brain while you read. For this reason, I'm giving this a 3/5 stars! In all actuality, something a little less would be fine too. But I found the main romance plot line pretty cute, so yehyeh. <<less

[Second Chance, Historical: Ancient China, Slice of Life] The heroine of this novel, Wei Luo, had gotten experienced a bad ending in her first life due to the fact that she was the legitimate daughter of the first wife of the 5th son of the Duke of Ying (her step-mother disliked her and arranged for her to be sold to s*ave traders.) For most of her life back then, she lived with a poor farmer couple who had lost their only son. And, because they wanted her to marry their dead son and become his ghost bride, she ran back to her real family to get back her identity as the legitimate daughter --... more>> only to be harmed by her stepmother and daughter and end up dying in the streets. When she woke up to find that she was reborn, she decided that she would get revenge for her previous life and do her best to live the most flourish life that she can.

OVERVIEW: TBH, this novel is like the prequel to "reborn" or "transmigration" stories where the OG!FL has a protagonist halo that leads everyone around her who has even the slightest of bad intentions to the worst possible fate. All the while, she dose nothing to earn it outside of being beautiful and a little crafty. I didn't realize such novels actually existed. Seeing it now, I kept reading just to see what the fuss was about XD. It's really bad. The novel itself has some interesting parts, but if you have normal worldviews, then you're going to suffer a lot while reading this. I almost dropped it several times, but I persisted for a while because I wanted to see how bad it got. And well. It was bad. The endings most of the "cannon fodder" characters got were horrible. Like, really horrible.

OTHER PROBLEMS: All in all, this novel has so many problems that I can't honestly recommend it. Just the age gap between the FL and ML alone is enough for it to be questionable, nevermind all the other problems it has. Still, if you're like me and you want to see what the "OG!FL" of those reborn or transmigration novels are like (where the cannon fodder counterattacks and such XD) then I'd recommend at least checking it out. It's truly ridiculous fjwlakfjlakjf.

Tbh, the author's writing is really good. I'm talking about the prose -- like their way of describing things and the details that they provide. When it comes to content, it's not so good. Like, for this novel, there is absolutely no direction. At first it seems like its all about revenge, but that's set pretty early, and it's not satisfying at all because the FL doesn't actively participate in most of it. She just borrows the knife of others and causes those who slight her even just the slightest bit to have the most horrible ending. As for the the romance between the FL and ML, the age gap kind of ruins it (and things happen before she turns of age, which ruins it even more. I thought it would be like other historical novels, where the feelings are innocent until then, but NOPE.) I thought that the early development was pretty good, but then it became all about smut and it ruined everything. Altogether, this story had great potential, and I can see why there's people that like it. But yeh. The content is definitely extreme. <<less

3/5!!! [Historical: Ancient China, Drama, Intrigue] SUMMARY: First of all, let's talk about the original summary. In short, it's very deceptive. Just forget about it. *laughingface* This novel isn't about an FL being dragged into marriage by a yandere. It gives off that impression, but that's only about 10% of the story's actual development. It isn't about a girl transmigrating into the body of the legitimate daughter of a noble family. Nor is it about the rebirth of the Tyrannical Emperor who has an obsession with said transmigrator. The main focus of this novel is on the way the time period affects the complex relationships of the people that surrounds that FL and ML. If... more>> you go into this novel thinking that this is a toxic romance (like me xD), you will be immensely disappointed because that's really not the point.

FIRST IMPRESSION: The first time I read this, I found it boring and gave up after 50 chapters. It was just that the FL was too dull. Too reactive. She didn't do anything. Didn't have any drive. She was impressive, don't get me wrong. But she's like a block of wood with no desires. This provided a great contrast with the obsessed ML, who stalks her and engages in non-consensual groping here and again. But while the contrast is interesting, it doesn't change the fact that the main character, the FL, doesn't do anything. She's just being swept along by the plot, acting impressive like the Mary Sue that she is. As a reader, I never got to connect with her because the POV is too distant from her, so idk what she thinks of it all. If the ML was the main protagonist (things would be better). He has a clear goal, clear desires, and he's obviously very active. But he's not the MC. He's almost always in the background. So yeah.

I hereby finish my rant about why I gave up after fifty chapters the first time I read this. And almost did it again a second time XD. I decided to keep reading this time around because this is the last chance I'm giving the story. In the end, however, I still dropped it less than 25 chapters after making that resolution XD. It turns out that this novel is just not for me.

RECOMMENDED? Though this novel ended up not being to my taste, I didn't dislike it to the point of not knowing what areas it could be considered 'good.' The author does a great job establishing a flourishing world in ancient times. All of the characters, no matter how small their role may appear at first glance, are given a little something something to make them appear real. If it weren't for the utter failure in this regard when it came to the FL (who is arguably the most important, as she is the protagonist the story is following) I would have even declared that this story was perfect when it comes to character building. Of course, one may say that the complexity of the side characters contrasts quite nicely with the simplicity of the FL. But again, I have to argue, what's the point of a story with such a forgettable FL? Anyway, let's not start the rant again. I do recommend this novel, but only if you're interested in historical dramas. The setting is where this novel shines the most. The intrigue is rich with meaning. So, if you go into it just to experience that aspect, it isn't so bad.

I originally thought that the reason I first dislike this novel was because I was sick at the time and in a bad mood. Now I know that it's just not my type of novel period. For this reason, I didn't give a lower rating. The story is actually written well, the author is a bit too fond of info-dumping, and one can say that there really is a bit too much detail at times. However, I like that kind of thing, so I didn't mind it. The translation is also very good. To an average Westerner, many of the things mentioned in the first 10 chapters are impossible to be comprehended without at least a little background in Chinese History. Even I struggled a bit even after all the CN dramas I've read. But the TL-er did their best to make things understandable and provided great supplemental notes. For this reason, despite my negative opinion (brought about mainly due to the FL lack of strong direction), I still think this novel is readable.  <<less

The first time around, I only read up to the latest translated chapter because I thought the characters were rather unrealistic. I was also a little frustrated about the premise. SUMMARY: The FL, lived until the age of forty and then found herself traveling back in time — back in 1978, when the country was just about to open up and she was still young, just entering the first year of junior high. It’s really not explained how or why this happened, which is normal. It just jumps straight into the drama. There is no specific focus, just the FL’s daily life: which involves pushing her dead to do business, dealing with the drama in her paternal and maternal families, and dealing with cannon fodders and potential romance at school.

THOUGHTS: If you like slice of life, it’s not so bad. The MTL is readable at least, so if you have nothing else to read and you enjoy stories from this era, it’s not so bad to give it a try. However, don’t expect the quality to be too high. The author writes one what carelessly, and there really is no overarching plot to tie things together — making it easy to get bored (at least, in my case.) As for the rating, I don’t think it deserves a rating higher than 3/5. JDKDKDLD for now, I’m giving it 2.9/5 --  and it's only that high because I enjoy poor-to-rich stories. 2.85/5!!! [Transmigration, Slice of Life, Drama] Had high hopes and I insisted on keeping going at least until I reached the halfway point LOL. Unfortunately, after I got there, I instantly felt like quitting T.T It's not a bad novel, per se. But it's the type that's best to read if you want something casual. You know, the type were you turn your brain off and just enjoy the face-slapping and such. To be more specific, the premise of the novel is as follows: The FL is a powerful scientist from the interstellar era that was fussing about with time --- causing her consciousness to end up travelling back into the past (or an alternate... more>> reality's version of the past) until she ended up possessing the original owner (same name, Xiao Xiao) . The original owner had been caught up in a brain-burning fever after being married to the village bully (the ML, Wang Wei).

The rest of the story that follows has the two slowly falling in love, which is not bad. The ML is not your typical overbearing president type. To be frank, he's a tsundere that the FL hooks easily with a couple of coaxing words. He's pretty cute, let's just say. The FL is not bad either, but her foundation is a bit shaky (she's definitely a Mary Sue-type). I liked reading their story, but this ended up being more about family drama. The ML's family abandoned him when he was young and were forced to take care of him --- causing an uncrossable gap. Meanwhile, the original owner's parents are feudalistic and only care about their son and not their daughter. Such and such drama occur. Resulting into a lot of face-slapping and such. I was not up for it, and so I dropped the novel early.

In my opinion, this is a so-so novel. It's not bad, but it's not exactly good either. But, that's just based on my preferences. If you like slice of life romance with lots of family drama and faceslapping, then you might like it more than I do~ As for the matter of the unfinished TL, the MTL is surprisingly readable (around 75%) so it's not bad to try to see if it's something that you can enjoy in the end. <<less

It’s not a bad read, but it’s a slice of life novel that is relatively uncomplicated and simple. In that way, it comes off a bit boring and nonsensical at times, but if you’re not picky about that kind of thing and just want a casual read, it’s fine. SUMMARY: The FL, Su Jiaojiao, transmigrates into the body of a cannon fodder from a book she had been reading before getting into an accident. This character had the same name as her, and was the fiancé of the male protagonist, Song Qinghan (the ML of this novel). At the start of the story, the original Su Jiaojiao’s family was in chaos, with one parent wanting her to drop the engagement between him and the ML because he had come back from the army disabled, while the other wanted to stay true to the arrangements that had been made. In the end, the FL decides to stick things out and with a SYSTEM urging her and the ML’s relationship on, they slowly come together.

THOUGHTS: The author was definitely a bit careless when writing this. They introduce a lot of elements (e.g., a reborn ML, a transmigrated original heroine, etc.) that aren’t really relevant to the story. It’s like the author completely forgot about these things. And this is just one of the bigger flaws of the story! There’s also the winding nonsensical plot that jumps from here to there without any purpose or direction, and the poor prose that makes the writing very difficult to understand. Also, as an aside, the TL-er didn’t help much because they commented on this pretty much every chapter, which totally ruined the atmosphere even more DX. Their work was not bad, it wasn’t the cleanest, but it was definitely better than MTL. It was just that the constant disparaging comments were a bit frustrating — making a bad work look even worse as a result.

RATING: 2.85/5All in all, I thought this novel was quite pitiful. It had lots of potential … But. Well. If you take away everything except the romance and fluff, it’s not a bad slice-of-life novel. The FL was a bit overly spoiled and ridiculously s*upid at times, but she wasn’t completely unlikable. If you treat it as a wholesome short story that is not meant to make big waves, it’s at least bearable. It's basically just one... more>> drama after another. I kept reading because I was pretty fond of some of the existing side characters. I could have maybe completed it based on this interest. But the MTL was not the most readable (too many characters and titles are introduced, muddying up everything DX).Summary: The FL, Qin Jiu/Giu, is the legitimate daughter of the Marquis of Loyalty. However, because of an incident with the royal family at the time, their family was exiled, and the FL had been left to a maid to be taken care of. When things were finally fixed a couple of years later, the maid, rather than returning the real daughter of the Marquis, decided to switch the FL with her own daughter. If things had gone naturally, the FL would have been discovered pretty quickly and got back what was rightfully hers. However, the daughter of the made, Qin Xin, was reborn, and with her knowledge of upcoming events, she twisted things around. Now, in the third iteration of the story, a transmigrator takes the place of the FL, changing the course of history for the second time.The premise was interesting and the history pretty okay. However, as mentioned, the FL lacks presence XD. She really doesn't do much of anything. She gets to be clever sometimes, but then that's about it. The same goes for the ML, who is your typical omnipotent fresh meat who becomes inexplicably interested in the FL after they first meet. It's really not the best, but it's about the same as most other CN novels of the same genre, so I didn't mind it. If it were completely translated, I would have probably completed it because of my favorite characters. (OH, btw. The first TL is a bit messy. Like, maybe more than just a little bit. It's readable though. And the new TL is very good.)Now ... since I read more than half, I will be giving this a rating! As for the rating. Hmm ... I think 2.85/5 just about does it. You know, it's that kind of novel where the MC is super beautiful and everything that she wants conveniently falls onto her lap. Summary: The MC is a flower demon (from the modern world) who finds herself transmigrating. She ends up playing the role of the newly wedded wife of the story's protagonist. In the story, she was destined for a bad end at the hand of the selfish heroine (who is written as a completely selfish person here). However, with her wits, she not only fights against the original protagonist but also culls the ML's vicious family members.

If you enjoy face-slapping and are not looking for anything complicated, you might want to try reading this. The TL is not complete, but it got pretty far, and the MTL (if you plug it into Google Translate) is not bad either. As for me, my opinion of the novel isn't all that good. But I still read it XD. So, I think it's worth at least 2.85/5 stars. Definitely on the lower end for me, but it's not the worst. <<less

2.8/5!!! [Second Chance, Adventure, Zombie Apocalypse, Magical Space, Childcare] Well! It’s not a bad read. It’s just that it’s more plot-driven than character driven. Plus, the plot just so happens to be more of an adventure style rather than a survival style (it’s easy to forget that they’re in the midst of a zombie apocalypse LMFAO). Still, because I wasn’t expecting much, I found myself enjoying it quite a bit. Especially in the beginning (which is when the survival aspects were the strongest). Near the end (past the 300th chapter) I started skipping and skimming a lot. And I technically didn’t finish reading it, but my opinion of the novel is still pretty good.

SUMMARY: The FL, Lan Shirou, gave birth to a precious baby boy on the first day of the apocalypse. After which, she’s forced to struggle to survive while supporting her treacherous adoptive parents and siblings. It’s only by some miraculous feat that her soul separates from her zombie self and makes its way to the father of her son (the ML, Ao Chengyi) who had been searching for her in vain all along.

On the 11th year of the apocalypse, the ML ends his own life to join her. The FL thought this was the end but she surprisingly woke up on the day she gave birth to her baby son. Having been strengthened by her previous life's experiences, she began to collect the items she and her family will need to survive as she waits for her husband to come back to her. THOUGHTS: The story is very faulty. The characters are amusing and look pretty good on the surface, however, they lack substance XD. Also, all the character conflicts that the author sets up are inexplicably set aside with only the slightest bit of acknowledgment (like the author is too lazy to write about it XD.) This may not be a bad thing if you like plot-driven stories and are just simply looking for entertainment, but it does mean that the characters become more and more unimportant as the plot progresses (to the point that, by the end, they really don’t do much outside of defeating the bad guys LMFAO).

I’m not someone that enjoys adventure/action stories, so I disliked the other half of the story quite a bit. But anyway, I know that wouldn’t be the case for everyone. It depends on taste, I suppose. As for the romance aspect, it’s really not a thing LMFAO. They get together too easily. And because of the FL’s rebirth and the ML’s past feelings, it felt very awkward. I didn’t think they had any chemistry at all (at least they had less than the other CPs in the novel, who at least COMMUNICATE LOLOL). I guess the biggest problem is the main characters themselves, who are as boring as planks at times. Anyway, I read this because of the hoarding aspect (the magical space is unlimited and can be planted — which is always opinion satisfying to read about in my opinion). The MTL was also not bad. The names were a bit messy, but altogether, comprehensible. Would read it again. As for the rating …. 3 stars. It’s definitely not the highest in quality. BUT!!! I enjoyed some bits and pieces, so for the sake of personal enjoyment, I decided 2.8/5 is quite suitable. <<less

[Transmigration, Slice of Life, Romance, Historical: Chinese Reformation Era (1970s)] I actually found this novel quite a pleasant to read, but it is admittedly a bit dry in certain aspects. It's a bit hard to explain, so first up! A summary of the premise of the novel: The FL (Su Su) was on her way to a retreat for a year, only to end up getting into an accident before getting there. When she came to, she directly met the ML (Lin Chuan), who is a soldier on break. After being taken to the ML's home in good faith, she realizes that she had actually transmigrated into the 1970s novel she was reading on... more>> the bus. The main characters of the novel are the ML's fiance and his cousin. In the novel, they pretty much used up the ML for the sake of their happiness. Understanding this situation, and finding it a bit unfair to the ML who had saved her, the FL decides to do something about it.

There are some fantasy aspects as she was transmigrated with the stuff she had packed --- which was transformed to match the times and was endless (she uses it up, and it gets replenished). I actually didn't appreciate this much because it made the story a bit too convenient. Now, I usually like novels with such golden fingers, but only if they play a key role in the novel. Here, it's just a convenient excuse for her to be able to do everything she wants with no effort. ALSO, If it was just the bag, that would be okay, but the plot keeps offering up conveniences (offering her a job, giving her a salary, etc.) with absolutely no explanation. It really breaks one's sense of reality (which is what eventually made me stop reading).

If you're looking for a casual romance set in the Chinese Reformation Era though, then this is not bad. It really takes the slice of life route --- following the HEA of the FL and ML as well as the slow downturn of the main characters of the original novel (I assume anyway, as I didn't finish DX).

I consider this a rather average read. The FL is just not active enough for my taste, she's constantly just moving forward with the plot. If that's what you like, then you might enjoy the novel more. But for me, the final impression of the novel is --- cute, but so-so when it comes to the actual plot development. <<less

2.65/5!!! [Transmigration, Slice of Life, Drama] (2nd Reread - 02/09/2023) I originally wanted to read this till the end, because the first time I read this, I at least made it to the 660th chapter. However, I encountered the same issue as before. This novel is too repetitive. It's just one petty drama after another. And if it's not petty drama, then it's an encounter with a random side-character that only shows up a handful of times before being left in the back burner. At all times, the FL will solve the problem in the same way -- providing food from her space (which is only the storage type btw, it's not the type where... more>> you can plant on it. She saved all the food up herself in her previous life, and once it runs out, it runs out. There would be nothing left.) I originally read this for the golden finger aspect, but this golden finger is seriously kind of boring. It's just an unlimited food bank. That's all she uses it for. Anyway, this time, I forced myself to go a little further, but the further I went, the more hopeless it became LMFAO. It's seriously just the same thing over and over again.

SUMMARY: The Fl, Zhao Xiulan, transmigrates to the 1960s from modern apocalyptic times. She went back in time with a magical space on hand filled with decades' worth of food and supplies. And, in times of scarcity, this becomes her road to survival. The original owner's family consists of her father, her younger sister, and a stepmother and a stepsister. Before the FL had transmigrated, the original owner had not been living a good life. But it's impossible to change things too quickly. Little by little, she makes connections with the people of this era in order to slowly improve her way of life. (As for the ML, he's a handsome and talented railway engineer that's bound to go to places. Their relationship is quickly set, but they're kept apart most of the time. And when I stopped, they hadn't reached the point of living together permanently. 

THOUGHTS: Well. Sigh. XD This novel is not as bad as I made it out to be in my introduction. To be honest, if you're looking to waste time on a slice of life novel, and you're not all fussed about the quality, then this is not bad. It gets boring the further you go, but the beginning is interesting -- mainly because the author goes into a lot of detail of the times.IDK how accurate it is (one thing's for sure, it's not very consistent), but whether or not its historically accurate, it really gives you a sense of what it's like to live in the times. Unfortunately, the author fails with their characters. The FL and ML are likable enough, but they're not very interesting. They are pretty much set already after the first few hundred chapters, which is why the author had to constantly introduce pointless side-characters (both of the support and cannon fodder variety) in order to pad the wordcount.

 Honestly, if the author had just honestly time skipped the boring parts, this story would have been a lot more bearable. After the 600th chapter, I started skimming a lot, and my impression of the novel improved. If it weren't for the fact that I completely lost interest in the main characters at that point, I might have continued reading in that manner. Unfortunately, the characters remained boring, and I didn't want to be frustrated over the s*upid cannon fodder characters anymore lolol.Read this for the good translation and the readable MTL (if you plug it into Google Translate, it's 80% readable, unlike those ready-MTL sites, which is only barely readable). Nothing too special, but still pretty satisfying. It's the daily life of a reborn girl who just outright decided that she was going to live the most normal life possible by marrying a fisherman from her village. She set aside the bright prospects waiting ahead, in order to leave peacefully, but escaping fate is a little bit more complicated than she thought as she ends up marrying a man with a big mysterious history. All in all, if you're looking for a short and simple read, this is not a bad one to check out. If you're scared of the rushed ending stop at around 64-65 and be content with the promises that main couple made. There will still be lots of plotholes left unfilled, but that's true even if you read till the very end LOL, so you're not missing anything. RATING: 2.75/5The novel is truly nothing special, but the interaction between the main pairing is not bad. I think the author didn't know where to lead the story, so it was a bit clumsy after they got together together, but all in all, it's still an okay read. At least, it's not offensive to the eyes. I think one half (or one-third, at the very least) of the novel is spent on describing the cooking of food or the taste of food LMFAO. If you like that kind of thing, then this will surely be a fun novel to test your appetite with. However, if you're looking for anything else? Summary: The FL (Jian Shuyao) transmigrated into the body of a foolish, man-chasing woman from ancient china. The original owner had just finished getting a husband for herself through dirty schemes, leaving the FL with a lot of things to deal with. However, she doesn't really care about those things. Everything is ignored for the sake of her love of food XD.

With the first half of the summary, it's easy to believe that this will be one of those dog-blooded drams where there's lots of internal conflicts. The life of a noblewoman during these times are not very easy, after all. AND WELL, there is a little bit of that. But it's a background thing, barely mentioned. The main focus of the story is really cooking and eating. If you should have any expectation for anything else ... *thinkingface.jpg* I guess it would be the awkward, and charming ML who constantly misunderstands the FL's careless as affection LMFAO. It's amusing and kinda cute. It's rare for there to be such an innocent and naive ML. 

ANYWAY, those are my thoughts! This novel ended up not being quite my thing, I still dropped it before finishing. But since I've read over half of the content, I will be giving it a rating this time based on my usual criteria. Characters: 3\10, Romance: 4\10, Setting: 6.5\10 (if you like food, you might give it a higher rating LMFAO, as for me, my interest was so-so), Plot: 5\10. These values are very low, even for me XD. The final rating should be 2.3\5 stars. But when counting personal enjoyment. I decided to increase the value to 2.5\5 stars. Still low, but it rounds up to 3 stars! But again, I was defeated by the slow-moving, slice of life development. This time, I went even further just to make sure. And now I can confirm that this story appears to be mostly self-indulgent daily-life content. Kind of like sims XD without the mods. There's no direction, no overarching plot. The usual props are there, what with the multiple transmigrated/reborn individuals, but the author chose to go through the most ordinary route. If you want to read this, make sure to keep that in mind! As in, go for it... more>> if you enjoy slice of life. Since that aspect is not bad here. At least, the development between the FL and ML is drawn out, unlike other novels where everything is all about smut and stuff. Here, the author directly shows the awkwardness between two strangers falling in love, which was quite nice. If the rest of the story wasn't so monotonous, I'd have rated it more highly. As it is though, I'm only giving this a 2.5/5.

OLD REVIEW: Tried it out, seems to be not bad, but honestly kind of boring. I'm already the type to kind of dislike slice of life, and this one was mostly that. I thought it would go into the historical details more. But 25+ chapters in and there's still nothing but drama. Furtheremore, its drama involving characters I have yet to actually cared about. The author failed to really make me like the MC and ML during the introduction, since they seem to be more like outsiders watching plays happening. The side-characters are more lively, to say it bluntly.

Altogether, I'm pretty disappointed T.T but who knows? Maybe if you keep reading, it will get better. I just gave up because the TL was running out and, anyway, I was nowhere closer to liking the characters than before.

SUMMARY: The FL transmigrates into a novel wearing the body of the villain of the book. Her transmigration occurred before the villainess had completely blackened. She had just gotten married, and her husband had gone off to serve in the military. The FL doesn't really have any goals or aims, at least, it didn't seem that way to me. She was quite bland. As for the ML he's a regressor that died in the original book but was given a second chance a life after spending a decade wandering around as a ghost spying on other people lmfao. <<less

First "The FL is so bad, blah blah. How could she do that. Blah blah". Second, becaue of money or Mary Sue skills, the follow-up is "The FL is so awesome!!!!!!! F*ck. So RICH! Feminism! Nationalism!!!!!!" XD Then back to the start again and again. It's fine if you like it??? But, I found it boring.__________SUMMARY: The FL, Chen Zhaozhao, is a spoiled and rich young lady that ended up transmigrating into a novel. She doesn't know anything about this novel, so she goes in blind. It's just that there's a SYSTEM there to instruct her on what to do and how to act (complete with a threat against her life if she doesn't do what it wants lol XD). She finds a way to skirt around the SYSTEM and goes her own way, using the inheritance that the original owner of her body squandered away in order to live life comfortably. She doesn't really have any goals, outside of not being fooled around by the SYSTEM. Which makes her a very reactive character (part of why I got bored). However, the plot is always on the road to ruining her. The halo of being a vicious female supporting role cannot be removed, and no matter what she does, she will always be plotted against XD Which is the direction of the plot, I guess. (As for the ML, I'm not sure. Signs hint at a person named Jiang Ying. But, I can't be sure). <<less
