The end result is that the hero and heroine had an affair and got pregnant behind Lin Chuan’s back.

After more than a month, the heroine realized that something was wrong, so she used Lin Chuan’s mother’s illness to get her drunk enough to take off her clothes and pretend to sleep for the night. The next day, Lin Chuan returned to the army.

She then wrote a letter to the male lead saying she was going to college, didn’t want a baby, and even went into the army to discuss the situation with the male lead. As a result, the male supporting character bore not only the guilt but also the pain of “mu*der”.

To avoid jeopardizing the heroine’s future, he could only reluctantly agree to have her aborted. The heroine also blamed him, believing that he had deliberately killed his own child. He even privately told his father and mother Lin about it, which made them almost cry to death.

While reading the book, I thought it was good for the heroine to stand up for herself, but now that I’m here, I feel sorry for the male side character.

It’s unfair that you have to take the blame for them when you did nothing wrong.

Summary: OGFL and OGML had an affair, resulting in pregnancy. OGFL deals with it by getting LC drunk and tricking him into believing they did the deed, then lied to him that he got her pregnant and pressured him into helping her get an abortion. This caused him to deal with the personal guilt and the social stigma of mu*dering the unborn child.

The MC's reaction to reading this when it was in the book was "good for her". Girl what. What can I even say. Even when I'm reading a mindless tr*sh romance novel to pass the time, when the MC does something deplorable, I get angry at them and usually end up dropping the novel. I guess I'm just born better?

MC sucks. Not like "oh she had a bad opinion I don't like her". She sucks because she has no characterisation at all. She's just generic female lead. She's so pretty and white skinned and gentle and white skinned and nice to people and white skinned and everyone loves her without her having to say a single word or do a single action because the antagonist is just so cartoonishly awful in comparison the bar is that low to be likeable. <<less

The hero, Lin Donghe, is such a simp. I don't understand how he could clearly see that the heroine never truly loved him and only used him for the little money he did have at the time and didn't want to get married to him or keep their child and didn't announce they were married because she didn't want the boys around her to know and then when his family with a little wealth found him she switched up real quick and wanted to have his baby and he clearly knew that too because he mentioned it and even her dad literally almost killed him and yet he still went and married her again after they separated the first time, but this time with the certificate. I mean really. BFFR. He made me so mad with just how s*upid he acted this whole story. That kitty must really be fire for him to act the way he did. They did all that just for her to die at the end. -_-

I actually found this novel quite a pleasant to read, but it is admittedly a bit dry in certain aspects. It's a bit hard to explain, so first up! A summary of the premise of the novel: The FL (Su Su) was on her way to a retreat for a year, only to end up getting into an accident before getting there. When she came to, she directly met the ML (Lin Chuan), who is a soldier on break. After being taken to the ML's home in good faith, she... more>> realizes that she had actually transmigrated into the 1970s novel she was reading on the bus. The main characters of the novel are the ML's fiance and his cousin. In the novel, they pretty much used up the ML for the sake of their happiness. Understanding this situation, and finding it a bit unfair to the ML who had saved her, the FL decides to do something about it.

There are some fantasy aspects as she was transmigrated with the stuff she had packed --- which was transformed to match the times and was endless (she uses it up, and it gets replenished). I actually didn't appreciate this much because it made the story a bit too convenient. Now, I usually like novels with such golden fingers, but only if they play a key role in the novel. Here, it's just a convenient excuse for her to be able to do everything she wants with no effort. ALSO, If it was just the bag, that would be okay, but the plot keeps offering up conveniences (offering her a job, giving her a salary, etc.) with absolutely no explanation. It really breaks one's sense of reality (which is what eventually made me stop reading).

If you're looking for a casual romance set in the Chinese Reformation Era though, then this is not bad. It really takes the slice of life route --- following the HEA of the FL and ML as well as the slow downturn of the main characters of the original novel (I assume anyway, as I didn't finish DX).

RATING: 2.75/5

I consider this a rather average read. The FL is just not active enough for my taste, she's constantly just moving forward with the plot. If that's what you like, then you might enjoy the novel more. But for me, the final impression of the novel is --- cute, but so-so when it comes to the actual plot development. <<less

MC is a master degree holder. Instead of going to work she chose to help people and also do community work.

MC is a mary stu because of the modern technology she has and her masters degree. Dont expect her to be miss perfect. Who will be kind, forgave, and any character that goes with good. Remember she is an orphan who got her masters degree. I dont know how she faced her classmates, we know that not everyone can be kind. Anyway, I think Ill have high blood because of the plot. Yeah, im going bald. Too much drama coming when MC just wants to get married to ger crush. 😭 I can, im still at chapter 30 but my blood is boiling. 😭

Does anyone knows a cartoon or anime characters who have a yakuza father and a loli mother? Yeah MC and ML looks like that. Everytime someone sees MCs body they would curse at ML for being a beast because MC looks like a loli 😭😭😂

Is a good story, the kind you read once and is satisfied. I remember it with a smile and the mtl is passable. The MC is not the smartest or the most intrepid so at the beginning I though she was kind of dumb, but then I realized that was my preconception because of others MC's in similar situation. It became refresing seeing her so timid with her EQ online. It's an easy story, almost no inconvenience thanks to that magic bag, that by the way, I want one too.... more>> More than half of the story I was feeling envying the MC because of it.

Well, it's a cute story, if you have free time, check it. If not, you won't miss much. <<less

This one is a unique take on the Back to the not-so-distant past trope because our MC is backed up by her mysterious backpack and ready-made personal details. It's a good Slice of Life novel and I did not notice that I was already at the last chapter since I binge-read it. My emotions were stable while reading this and the antagonist (yes, there's only one) is not really that hard to defeat. I like MC's straightforward, kind but not a doormat kind of approach in her life. It's not... more>> that amazing for me to rate it 5 stars, I did not even bother to read the extra stories. This novel had potential, the beginning was slightly different from other 70s novels because MC has a modern luggage bag that's actually a space. She has golden finger and that's ok. The characters don't have much growth, except for my personal favorite Lin Hai, you ger brother to ML. Even the ML is a classic stoic-face-only-soft-to-MC and overall he's pretty useless except that he knows how to set up a toilet. The journey is mostly about MC and her journey. She's already a city girl going to village and coming... more>> back to city and then international platform. ML remains wherever he is, only with a few hints of his promotion, nothing noticable. The only things probably the readers got engaged with is, whether MC and ML will have a son or a daughter.

The antagonist... What to tell about her. Epitome of green tea b*tch, but her antiques didn't have much creativity because in front of MC, all fall short. I like side characters more Chang and Bai pair, they're adorable. I really wanted the extras, but can't find them.

Why author make the OG ML inseparable to OG FL even though he know how bad she is, he deserves better. Ik bcs she the OG FL and is destined to be together, but can't the author make it more logically? Like I mean, Yooo.. No one will still like her if she never change. It is also good here that FL can adapt with the era completely. She got to the past and then adapted there, but why is it so fast that it is more faster than Lightning McQueen? I was hoping there will be a bit more drama in the beginning for FL to accept the change, but there is non.

Also I still wishing there will be character development for the OG FL..

But overall this novel really wort to read. For whoever like read chinese novel in 60s-90s time period, just give it a try and you would love it. Just bear with the OG FL, believe me bear with her.

After reading many novel and book, now I'm very picky so really glad that I found this novel. Thanks to translator who is translate this novel and put it here

Bruh, she doesn't have any redeeming qualities but just bcoz they were the OriPair of the plot or something like that the OriML keeps on getting attracted to her.🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ O really didn't like it that FL and OriML have a business they started together. Is FL an idiot or something? Bruh why get involved with those two? You should have avoided them like they were plauge. That's my only dissatisfaction with this novel.

It started very well. MC was determined, strong-minded, and not so shy. After the wedding she became extremely spoiled, she doesn't do anything anymore and it gets to be annoying. It's a shame because it could be a good story

I give it 3.5 stars I think it's the first transmigration story I've read wherein the transmigration was of the entire body and not just the soul. As expected of these type of stories, the MC turned into a total Mary Sue, with a magical backpack. I like the male lead; the way the writer described him makes wish they have one, too. He was so indulgent and loving towards the FL. Of course, the main villain, the heroine of the novel within the novel was portrayed as a total... more>> loony. Antagonist is a white lotus who's like a c*ckroach... Its so hard to kill... And quite disgusting.

I am a voracious fan of the chinese 60's/70's/80's time period troupe. It's one of my favourite-EST troupes on NU. Although this novel is relatively newly picked up for translation, the sypnosis is intriguing enough. Not to mention, this... more>> novel factors two of my favourite-EST troupes, i.e. 70's time period and transmigration. A big thank you to Author-sama for writing this novel and sharing it.

Just finished!

What a great read it was!

I just pulled an all-nighter to read the novel thanks to MTL Novels and asianovel. It was worth it. No regrets! A special thanks to these two platforms for sharing the MTL version of the novel.

I LOVED the storyline. It was so relishing to read, despite being MTL. The MTL was good enough to be able to read. The story in itself was fulfilling to my appetite of this troupe. There were many filling elements that kept me hooked to the novel. It was packed with my favourite key elements like a doting and possessive ML and FL, exciting progress from poor to rich, happy nice family/in-laws, good faceslapping, business-orientated and business success, pregnancy and childcare, and many more.

In short, this novel was totally up my alley and my cup of tea. I enjoyed it so much.

I totally second all that @wangxian0821 has reviewed. I couldn't agree anymore with what was stated.

Anyways, I loved this novel. I am eagerly awaiting to read it again once Moonlight Novels finish the whole translation.

Highly recommended!

Anyone who like the chinese 70's time period and transmigration troupes, will definitely like this novel. It's light, fluffy; has exciting faceslapping, business-orientated, strong love of MC and ML, childcare and many more.

You may enjoy this novel because it is a slide of life but have some plot so is not boring or repetitive.

The thing that I dislike the most are the original ML and FL of the book!

The male lead of the book LD knows that QY is really an hypocrite and only care about herself super selfish but he just keep falling for her!! Like WTF!!! Is like he only think with his third leg and he admit it (he lust her) and also in my perspective he has a chivalrous way of thinking about QY as his woman (property/own by him) than love but just can not swallow this couple, ew!

About our protagonist the ML is meh the typical solider nothing out of the extraordinary and out FL is a okay like she has a super special bag and unlimited money and other thing that renew when you take them out, she is smart, and has a lot of business ideas. The romance was so-so nothing great.

Transmigrated into a novel with a backpack that refill its content automatically.

Was saved by the military guy ML who was the supporting ML. Since the ML had a bad ending in the novel. FL snatched him instead. Married him.

Lead the inlaws family to growth and success. Good family relationship, good inlaws.

Ending with a son and a daughter. I just wished there were more stories about the daughter they have been waiting for.

All goog for past time reading.

I don't know how I ended up with this novel, perhaps wanting to discover how the main characters end (I mean the original protagonists of the novel where the MC transmigrates) was what encouraged me the most, a terrible idea, I should have left it. The MC has all kinds of luck, for starters they have a magical backpack that never runs out of inventory, too good to be true, another point, I found it absurd how he gets to marry the second support character, I could never ship them,... more>> I felt that they were not compatible, the support character is too soft, he seems to have no brain, I felt his whole relationship with MC was too fake, that's why the 3 stars <<less
