In the book of a certain era, there was a female lead who first took a fancy to the face of the male lead and married him forcefully. But because the male lead’s legs got injured, she wanted to escape from marriage.

During their engagement, she eloped with a young man, which resulted to the blackening value of the male lead.

Translator here!!

Will update this review once I'm done translating.

The ML of this story is a reincarnator, while the FL of this story is a transmigrator. The ML knows all the bad deeds the original FL had done to him in the past, but when the FL's behavior changed to a better and lovable one after he reincarnated, he didn't bother to settle the past accounts to her. He chose to live in the present and just be happy with the present FL. He didn't want to dwell in the past.

The... more>> bonding of FL and the system cracks me up so bad. Just like what review says, the system even went to 'class' just so he could improve itself for the host! The rewards given after completing the task are also in line with the 1970's era. She would receive flour, meat, milk, and chickens as rewards. (Unlike the other rewards in system novels, these are a bit simpler).

The fluff between the FL and ML is just purely sweet that I LOVE IT SO MUCH!~

If you like light novels with so much fluff and sweet filling, you won't regret adding this to your reading list!~

-There is almost no interaction between the novel's heroine and protagonist. (She just exist and is living her own life)

- For once the protagonist didn't start the story with an abusive or pitiful family.

- Instead of a timid wife, she took over a selfish, spoiled and beloved daugther. (The best is that she didn't stop the preferential treatment. Why would she? She had the easy life!)

- She herself acknowledged that she is only a bit nicer than the original (it's the truth)

- Only FL I've seen that protects the ML by acting like a shrew.

- She is not greedy ambitious like the typical transmigrator that actively moves for a rich better social class.

She sees that although not rich, she didn't lack a roof, food or owe money plus didn't need to farm to live so why do harsh work?. She just wants to be happy without exploiting her man.

Honestly, I'm a bit bored of all the "Ms. Perfect"-> The ones that radiates kindness to all except their enemies (◡ _ ◡ ✿)

I'd like to see more selfishness. To see them taking advantage of people just because the benefits rather than for retribution. But almost no novel dares to deliver a FL with dark quirks. Even the supposedly past life assassins becomes a Mary Sue after the transfer.

Enjoyed it. It's fluff and sweet.

Finally an oriFL who isn't villainous.

MC & ML has sweet relationship..

ML is a doting husband. I guess every girl wants a husband like him.

ML "not trusting" MC phase is very short as oriMC hasn't done anything big yet when MC came.

Later MC did tell ML about everything as ML did has his doubts but let it go as present happiness to him was more important.

System is cute.. Poor got harassed by MC, it has to go back to learn how to be a better system..

Most disgusting are ML foster parents.

As far tasks are concern, MC did it with her will at first in temptation of rewards later she did started have feelings for ML (who wouldn't) so she basically enjoyed doing them even though she is shy. MC even though lazy but isn't a person who would give her feelings to anyone easily.. At first to her ML is just like a roommate later she did started caring for him (basically one day later as ML fell sick on their wedding night, seeing his wounds she got all soft hearted) . Its funny as MC is soft hearted with her close people so ML always use "pitiful" act to coax MC or for some "rewards".

I really liked it at first but now the fl's personality is starting to bother me, she is unnecessarily harsh to the ML but he seems to not care about it I guess... if she was working hard and being harsh that would be one thing, but she is lazy and often orders the ML to cook for her and stuff even when he is still injured... like wth... I just really hope she gets nicer quickly because it’s uncomfortable rn

Hi, TL here.

Err... the new one.

So this book is meant as dog food and endless face-slapping. The author never did elaborate or flesh out most of the characters, including every. Single. One. of the side characters.

... more>> (I think you can see how much I 'like' the work I'm TLing rn. Answer is 'not very much'.)

I hope this is good enough to make you readers know what's going on here, and I recommended reading if you like 70s dog food! (Please don't mind the TL quality; although I've heard from some people it's pretty good UwU) <<less

The story was patchy at best, issues were popping up everywhere then got resolved in haste.

More over, translator often added comment in the story, it's an added distractions.

I did not know about other reader, but for me, I tended to dive into the story and create a world of that story while reading. Translation comments made it hard to stay focus on the actual plot, just the plot alone originally hard enough to ensemble into a logical flow.

It's a bit too bland for me. Probably has to do with the style of narrative. As far as I've read, the narrative and details of how jealous the SIL is far more than the number of sentences spent on MC and ML. Not to mention how much more other's jealousy were emphasised.

I also didn't like the protagonist very much. I was still ok with it at first. But the MC is far too reliant on the system rewards so I can't really engross myself on the 70's setting too... more>> much. MC also claims to be too introverted to work outside the house when in reality she's just too lazy to do anything outside her interest.

One instance for example is when she took home a bunch of fabric from the system reward, I thought she was just gonna ask her mom how to make clothes. But this girl just asked her mom to make the clothes and as a kind of compensation, her mom can also make her own clothes with the fabrics. Now I normally wouldn't have problems with that but their setting here is a poor family in the 70's. Only MC, ML and the children are with free times. Her whole family does labor work outside all day and they also have to take care of their own house chores. How tiring is that? But this was still masked as showing filial piety cause hello? MC gave her mom clothes. ☝️🙄 MC got no time to learn how to sew clothes, only ML's widdle underwear.

And, normally I'm okay with a few leaps of logic in stories but this has quite a bit too much for me to list down. <<less

I'm only starting, what with the translations only starting now. However, from what I'm reading now, I'm in love with this story. It passed the first few chapters test.

I wish it continues upward and not become another downward spiral *cough* *cough* like others.

I'll edit this once I completed the story. I'm off to MTL.

What I like:

The ML is a reincarnator and is aware of what the original fiancé did (ran away with an educated youth). So he was expecting her to do the same thing so he was a little cold. But when the FL lead did not do as he expected and is even nice and caring to him, he did not dwell on the past and treated his wife well. The whole story is chill and easy to red. There isn't any conspiracy except for the plot twist at the end.

It also follows the usual selling at the blackmailed but the OTP did not strive to be very rich and shares what they have with the FL family. In the end, the ML worked in a factory and the FL became a spoiled wife, and they both took the gaokao and passed.

To be honest, I found this novel pretty dull. It has nothing unique about it that isn't better written, more interesting, and funnier in other novels, such as 'Back to the Sixties: Farm, Get Wealthy & Raise the Cubs'. Not that I think it's plagiarized or anything, it's just not interesting enough to keep going. If I hadn't read back to the sixties first, I probably would have liked this novel more but now it just looks like a pale imitation.

I loved the progression of the relationship between the ML and the FL. The ML was so respectful and lovely, he supported the FL in everything she did and respected her boundaries.

This wasn't a one sided thing like in the other novels either, the FL too loved and supported the ML, she always cared for him and their relationship was so sweet. The FL ruined her reputation and was known as a shrewd woman because she protected the ML from his family albeit it was partly so she could live... more>> well too.

This book is definitely a 4/5 maybe even a 4.5 but I felt the extras were things that could've simply been added to the main story and actual extras of them just doing random things with no plot could've been there instead <<less

I recommend them the story is pleasant and calm, it has its drama in case it is missing and it keeps you hooked from start to finish. You will not waste your time reading this beautiful reading.

The people who brought value to this novel were FL's parents and the ML, he was an absolute sweetheart. Otherwise despite the novel containing tropes that are my favorite I was left rather unsatisfied and empty after finishing it.

I guess this has to be the first time in my history of reading cnovels that I felt the ML deserved way better.

The FL was somewhat of a red flag for me. Her only redeeming aspect was her affection and care towards the OG owner's parents. Otherwise her personality wasn't far... more>> off from the OG spoilt, bratty and self-centred owner, FL was at best 20% better than her and I guess that had to do with her coming from the future and the system guiding her.

System is the only reason the FL was somewhat likeable and was able to gain affection of the ML cause the times the FL made an effort for the ML or showed affection were all tasks assigned by the system otherwise she was pretty self- centred in her outlook, in fact she used to pretty much take the ML for granted. So all in all I am not a huge fan of her.

It's a pretty OK one time read. <<less

it was a great book, very simple and lighthearted. The relationship between them is very loving and natural and grows steadily.

Compared with other novels with similar rebirth/transmigration in the 70's/80s/90's this one can be considered way more plain with not much drama apart from the little family issue on the ML's side which was actually a bit cliche... but not too bad-it was well executed at least and didn't come off too forceful.

hmm the story mostly revolved around the MC having to complete all her missions related to having a... more>> happy marriage with the ML and it acted as a catalyst in their growing love.

i'd say it's a fluffy read about the MC with a henpecked husband and how they improve their lives but compared to other stories where the concentrate on growing the business and take us thru that here it doesn't pay as much attention to the details-thus making it slightly plain but not too bad.

i'd have to say though that the world background is not described very well and there are a few plot holes and some things completely not mentioned like where did the system come from?Also why was the ML reborn why did the MC Transmigrate? Why was the system helping the ML so much?

i feel that there were lack of proper characters throughout the story with no friends introduced on MC's side and for ML introduced once but then it's like they were just lost and never found again...

overall its a cute and light fluffy read where both MC and ML respect one another and try for a better life. <<less

At first glance this seemed like something I'd love.

The premise was interesting; there are more than one transmigrators, reincarnators etc. I was excited for this and was looking forward to see what kind of divergences they would cause and how their interactions would be. Sadly it was criminally underused. Some were even just mentioned in name. So and so is a reincarnator. So and so knows things that will happen.. Aand it's done..

The MC is not good. Not bad, just.. Kind of plain. She is a transmigrator, came from the future to the 70s. Besides small mentions here and there, there is no real effect of her transmigration. She overly relies on the system rewards that neither her past (future) nor her present is really important. She gets things from the system and not interacts with the world or her memories of her old (future) life. There is no immersion, no tension.

She is also incredibly childish. She acts like a child more and more into the story and everyone just goes with it.

There are quite a few gaps in the story. And most of the time the author just changes the story without any thought to continuity. Like MCs parents turn into a single parent, then turned back to having both parents, or what their parents do etc.

It has a very rushed ending.

It also has one of my pet peeves. The father loves his wife so much that he is jealous of their son, their 1-2 year old child. This is somewhat common in chinese novels and I hate it. It is neither funny nor romantic and every time I see this, I mark the father as bad parent.

One fun thing I liked was the (first?) translator constantly saying they were too young to translate the steamy/ero parts. <<less

It was sweet feel-good story everything get resolved very quickly for the MCs, but the only thing I found a bit annoying was that the FL personality got more childish with time, well overall I still gave it a 5-star so you can still enjoy the story despite that.

THIS IS GOLD! I am so glad I found this novel. The MC and ML are very sweet to each other and are very fast in accepting that they are indeed husband and wife (because they got married despite being strangers). ML is very doting and MC also does not let anyone step on the ML. Both are very protective of each other. I highly recommend this.

tried to reread this in Nov 2024: it's still fun to read, but I had to drop because I found the translator notes excessive.... more>> It was getting annoying since the translator just had to comment every time. It would have been fine if the comments were at the bottom after the whole chapter, but the comments are always inserted in the middle of the text. It's so distracting. <<less

Good story. However, there's a lot of unanswered questions.

Plus the some characters were just left behind.

Maybe it got lost in MTL. Will definitely read TL once done ??

The extra chapters - I feel like they are not extra tho. Felt like continuation of the story. The last one probably counts as extra. Love the last extra ❤❤❤

Oh god this novel was boring. Like it's been some 50-60 chapters according to the TL and 30ish in the novel by the time I decided enough is enough. If the story doesn't pick up even after 30 chapters then when will it?

There are other novels that do the same thing, but better.
