Jiang Suisui died of cong**ital heart disease in her previous life, and she has always regretted that she did not experience sweet love. She woke up in a daze in the 1970s, the man she saw at first sight made her fall in love at first sight.

Someone asked: Sui Sui, do you want to marry him?

Jiang Suisui nodded fiercely: Yes!

After waking up, Jiang Suisui realized that she had actually traveled through a novel. She was Jiang Suisui in a rural village in the 1970s, and she deliberately fell into the water to design the male lead, forcing him to marry his vicious female partner.

Jiang Suisui: … Is it too late to say no now?

Novel not recommended to read.

MC is Jiang Suisui, a Mary Sue naive damsel in distress girl who easily floats past most of the story. ML is the guy at the start and they have a sweet romance.

Issues of the novel:

Spoiler

1) The MC immediately acts OOC, saying she has amnesia or whatever and no one questions it after a bit. In fact, the author forgets about this too and nothing comes of the MC not knowing people for a bit.

2) MC is a continual damsel in distress for a bit, falling or bumping into the ML so that the two can just magically have good feelings for each other. It gets really ridiculous with MC suddenly not paying attention and falling and ML miraculously having borrowed a bicycle and finding the MC.

3) MC spends a large portion of the novel whining about all the danger she is in by going against the heroine despite doing nothing about it. We start with the MC entirely self centered where never thinks even once about how the ML would feel or even about helping the ML. She keeps going back on her original thoughts and waffling all over. Luckily minimal MC h**ny thoughts exploding outward. MC does think about ML later but then doesn't even communicate and then author adds the dramatic misunderstandings.

4) MC and ML let scumbag mol*stor fat man assault Ml's sister. This part was incredibly s*upid and disgusting. Why the heck are they just traveling away and not guarding ML's mom and sister? They know something will happen, especially with MC. Moreover the s*upid professor and captain both know how scumbag fat man is and do nothing even after knowing fat man mol*sted female students before. Crummy part there. ML at least gets to beat up the guy and scumbag fat man is arrested but not for mol*sting people. Fat man off to happy prison life.

5) The Lack of Focus: In the village we have pointless educated youth drama about fodder we don't care about and then into the city arc the story just devolves into random pointless drama about other fodder chasing MC or class stuff.

6) Of course they include a pointless portion for China inferiority syndrome where bad foreigners from US go and make fun of the Great Wall. MC scolds them! The moment is so ridiculous and pointless. I guess the author ran out of ideas once more.

7) Mc's heroine halo has a few dumb moments. First is when she wakes up and gets h**ny for ML. Second is meeting girl she can make an instant wedding dress for who inexplicably believes MC. Third is protecting ML's sister and mom from evil fat man. There's a few others but these are the main lame ones.

[collapse]

To summarize: a mediocre slice of life with unsatisfying drama and a somewhat competent romance between MC and ML where both are scumbags at the start but luckily fall in love and everything goes right for them (except for ML's little sister).

Nothing sets this novel apart from all the others except the incompetence on the part of the author in fleshing out cannon fodder we do not care about and stretching out the mystery of who ML's dad and family is. Writing isn't particularly good at describing scenery and the story itself is very boring. That much can't be helped though due to the original setting of boring backwards Chinese village with tons of [Evil] tm gossiping villagers and child bullies.

Novel not advised to read -300tril/10.

Or: Skim through everything that isn't MC talking to ML and blushing because at least their romance is decent enough to appreciate. <<less

The female lead is a bit selfish for me, yes she was accidentally paired with male lead but c'mon bruh.. postponed the wedding to take the college examination and if one of you couldn't pass the the exam you'll reconcile? Plus the scene with sister, what's up with that? They dont even know that the female protagonist lure that fat wretched man into the house? And that idiot sister didn't tell them about it? Plus its a short novel with so many fillers, and i've read to much slice of... more>> life genre that I develop this weird fetish that the MC must be desecive enough to decide on some matters but here the MC dont. I dunno maybe its just me, but I really dont like the female lead. Dont get me wrong it has it own points enough to be a decent story to pass the time but not its for me, I didn't even get to finished this, very frustrating... <<less

It's a pretty light-hearted novel. There's some drama and annoying characters in here but not too much you'd get high BP. Most of the time, it's about studying, earning money, falling in love, and working hard for yourself. I like reading stories like this because it reminds me not to be lazy. Because opportunities come for those who are prepared.

I read a novel that started of pretty similar to this one but can’t remember the name. Female MC transmigrated at the point where the OC tried to commit in the river but got rescued by ML. She then declares that she’ll marry ML even though he’s seen as the village poor boy that has to care for his siblings cause their parents died. The thing is the ML is actually the villain and also the F MC fav character in the book and she tries to prevent his blackening... more>> first by trying to stop the death of his brother. It was pretty good up to the point where it was updated, sadly I can’t remember the name. But I am definitely looking forward to this one. <<less

I just read a 70s transmigration novel that went completely against conventions, so it was a bit funny to read this novel — which uses so many of the usual tropes that it's become so predictable! AH but, regardless, I thought it was a pretty okay read if you're just looking for something light and simple. Oh, and BTW. The TL is edited MTL, I think, so you might want to just jump into MTL-ing the novel directly (if you plug it into Google Translate, it's pretty readable. Only the... more>> gender pronouns were a bit of a problem.)

Summary: A softhearted little young mistress (Jiang Suisui) that died early due to sickness, ends up getting a second chance in life after transmigrating into the body of the cannon fodder that insisted on marrying Song Wengzhao (who is the ML). The background of the OG novel is a little confusing, but the main gist of it is that the heroine, Jiang Miaomaio, ends up time travelling back in time in order to pursue the Song Wengzhao. The two clash in the past, which is the basic first arc, before the attention is drawn to other dramas that's going on with the other people around them.

If you like Slice of Life novels with lots of drama and face-slapping, this isn't bad. The quality is not the best, that's for sure. But that may work just right if you're just looking to turn off your brain while you read. For this reason, I'm giving this a 3/5 stars! In all actuality, something a little less would be fine too. But I found the main romance plot line pretty cute, so yehyeh. <<less

It's great for a light read. The romance is cute - not the best, but good enough. Everything was enjoyable until it came to that part where foreigners insulted the Great Wall of China and the Chinese people. This is often done in cnovels - portraying foreigners as evil who only come to bully people. Then MC swoops in to argue how foreigners are actually inferior to Chinese people and their country could never rival China's culture. I've read a lot of these bits from several cnovels already. Aside from... more>> that, the major conflict in the story wasn't much of a conflict which is kind of a missed opportunity. And right when I expected around 15 more chapters for tying up loose ends and fluffy moments, the story ends. <<less
