The apocalypse started with an acid rain and a contagious virus that turned people into carrion.

The female lead must be a super superwoman! She just cut her and her son umbilical cord - she just now given birth, which as she say took too long (from 10pm to 1or 2am, or from 10am, I'm not very sure because I read it raw) - and she can so so easily stand up, walk, fight zombies, go and collect things from all around inside the hospital and outsid it around the streets, resturants, malls, supermarkets, shoping stores, and she kept doing all this until the morning, until... more>> the sun come up and people start going out (which should be more than six hours since she start runing around just after giveing birth), and she only felt that her hands hurt from killing zombies and didn't feel tired until 3 hours later from her running around, but she still can go more! <<less

I’m glad that I didn’t let the reviews stop me from reading this one. I didn’t know what I expected from it, but as a huge sci-fi fan, everything about this one was so good. There wasn’t much romance, but there was enough action to keep my attention. I only started to get bored close to the end, around chapter 400, but it wasn’t so bad that I wasn’t able to finish it. I read the mtl version.

Well! It's not a bad read. It's just that it's more plot-driven than character driven. Plus, the plot just so happens to be more of an adventure style rather than a survival style (it's easy to forget that they're in the midst of a zombie apocalypse LMFAO). Still, because I wasn't expecting much, I found myself enjoying it quite a bit. Especially in the beginning (which is when the survival aspects were the strongest). Near the end (past the 300th chapter) I started skipping and skimming a lot. And I... more>> technically didn't finish reading it, but my opinion of the novel is still pretty good.

SUMMARY: The FL, Lan Shirou, gave birth to a precious baby boy on the first day of the apocalypse. After which, she's forced to struggle to survive while supporting her treacherous adoptive parents and siblings. In the end, however, her baby is stolen away and her life is cut short only five years after the apocalypse began. It's only by some miraculous feat that her soul separates from her zombie self and makes its way to the father of her son (the ML, Ao Chengyi) who had been searching for her in vain all along.

On the 11th year of the apocalypse, the ML ends his own life to join her. The FL thought this was the end but she surprisingly woke up on the day she gave birth to her baby son. Having been strengthened by her previous life's experiences, she began to collect the items she and her family will need to survive as she waits for her husband to come back to her. Of course, in the process, she amasses some comrades along the way.

THOUGHTS: The story is very faulty. The characters are amusing and look pretty good on the surface, however, they lack substance XD. Also, all the character conflicts that the author sets up are inexplicably set aside with only the slightest bit of acknowledgment (like the author is too lazy to write about it XD.) This may not be a bad thing if you like plot-driven stories and are just simply looking for entertainment, but it does mean that the characters become more and more unimportant as the plot progresses (to the point that, by the end, they really don't do much outside of defeating the bad guys LMFAO).

I'm not someone that enjoys adventure/action stories, so I disliked the other half of the story quite a bit. But anyway, I know that wouldn't be the case for everyone. It depends on taste, I suppose. As for the romance aspect, it's really not a thing LMFAO. They get together too easily. And because of the FL's rebirth and the ML's past feelings, it felt very awkward. I didn't think they had any chemistry at all (at least they had less than the other CPs in the novel, who at least COMMUNICATE LOLOL). I guess the biggest problem is the main characters themselves, who are as boring as planks at times. Anyway, I read this because of the hoarding aspect (the magical space is unlimited and can be planted — which is always opinion satisfying to read about in my opinion). The MTL was also not bad. The names were a bit messy, but altogether, comprehensible. Would read it again. As for the rating... 3 stars. It's definitely not the highest in quality. BUT!!! I enjoyed some bits and pieces, so for the sake of personal enjoyment, I decided 2.8/5 is quite suitable enough. <<less

I liked the description of the novel, so I decided to read it though only a few chapters have been translated. I read the MTL.

I found the story to be quite boring. I held on for a long time, but starting with chapter 300, I fast skimmed through the chapters.

It contains a lot of fighting, travelling around, building their own place. The couple travels around with their son and their companions and several animals. Usually I like that, but here it somehow didn't click with me.

There is a long buildup... more>> of a bad person (s) who probably caused the apocalypse and who destroyed MC's and ML's clan. However this person only appeared in a few chapters and was killed very quickly. After that was pretty much the end.

The world was reset, all zombies were killed and humans started all over again, with humans being devided by skin colour on different parts of the world.

MC and ML's son was the one who reset everything.
