This is cute but lacking and inconsistent.

My pet peeves when reading a novel are plotholes, it prevents you to immerse in the story and this one starts with a MC living in a permanent dungeon without water nor electricity during 3 years. We never know where he even sleeps, puts his clothes or does some personal hygiene. What does he even drink?!

The author explains that he spent 3 years trying to do a quest to maybe level up (the leveling system is never really explained), he was tenacious, tried various... more>> things and finally prevailed. But from then his next quests are secondary, sometimes he remembers them, but...

Plus, some characters seem forgotten, some things he wanted to do also never done as if never spoken about. Even the price to pay to enter the dungeon seems to disappear, he comes and goes as he wants.

Finally the story focus more on his coexistence with cute monsters, finding more cuties and eating/cooking while his true skills are "liquid synthesis" and "slime lord" not "taming". So his familiars are super cute, everybody loves them, his dungeon is dreamy, his friends want to spend all their time there (until the author forget about them), his food is magical (the planting part and recolted quantity fade away as the slimes do all the work).

That's where the story is going, slice of life in a dreamy dungeon, eating good food with cute monsters. Unfortunately, the author is forgetful and regularly drop a number of subplot. <<less

It was good with an interesting premise but due to author's lack of planning it's a mess, & personally some of the decisions MC makes is irritates me for example MC after dual awakening at the beginning no longer wants to get strong or maybe just strengthen his abilities his 1st awakening quest for his slime lord ability took 110 chapters just to finish (which if he just found the motivation he could probably finish in 1 day but NO he finished it unintentionally), his original skill he already forgot... more>> to care to finish and only finish when he suddenly remembered.

Strengths of the Awakened are not really explained well, it has a Level 1 to Level 10 (?) but never really explained how strong they are like compared to guns are they immune to it or not, how fast can they be & so forth. I think author also tried to implement a ranking system in the awakened HQ with MC being an F rank but never mentioned it again & continued with the Level stuff. Author also didn't mention how they level up maybe only through awakening quest which also does not give stat boost per quest completion so maybe all level 8 have same stats only different skills.

MC farming had a good start but author started getting lazy, doesn't even try to tell the descriptions after awhile & just make it a deux ex machina for the plot, if plot presents a problem MC will harvest crops that is a convenient solution.

What I really don't like personally was
Spoiler

when MC tamed the Mammon the Greedy Red Goblin, I mean sure it's useful but like it already killed a lot of powerful awakeners so if found out it would be a lot of trouble & personally it's just a matter of feelings, I don't like it, he should have just ordered the kill

Very fun so far. Feels like a slow life type novel. Still waiting for the childcare promised by the tags.

The story starts slow- very slowly, and there is quite a large cast of characters so I can understand why some people might think that the story drags, but there are hints that there is more then just farming family and fun going on. The story seems to be tip toeing towards very slow.

A good dungeon farming novel with no violence really so far. Similar to Solo Farming in the Tower but with a cute slime girl instead of a cute cat merchant and the ability to enter and exit the dungeon.

Think of a slow living Japanese style novel.

Novel is pretty average. Not much happens in the beginning and the character just seems to go along with everything.

It's just that the way things are written seem to be inconsistent. I'm still confused how he's renting a billion dollar dungeon that has nothing more than slimes for over 3 years. Where did his initial income come from? It seems like the valuation of the dungeon was raised to artificially create a goal to force the plot along.

There's really no build up or transition.

Comfortable enough that I keep reading it but it really has no direction. Just slow-life slice of life "farming" novel.

Quickly loses all tension. There's a plot happening in the background, but it's just spinning.

Spoiler

He's clearly in a demon lord role, with a main quest of collecting the Seven Deadly Sin monsters, but they're all just cheerful kids, including the goblin who is introduced as a serious threat early on having poisoned a lot of high level awakeners.

It starts out fun but then the story goes stale and I couldn't even be bothered to read anymore. I like the farming aspects and I think his power to synthesise liquid kinda cool, it def can be explored more but well alas the author choose to go full "raising children is cute'' mode. Rather than farming and becoming stronger, MC choosing to become a dad instead. So what we get after this so-called daughter appeared is just people worshipping how cute she is. I don't mind if we get... more>> some cute child-raising moment but the story shouldn't revolve around that. (Whoops my bad, didn't see the tags but cmon, the title kinda misleading if that were the case). Well, at this point I don't even curious to see how the story develop. MC seem to forget all his awakening quest bcs he's too focused making his daughter happy. If you like child care, with *cough* pseudo farming on the side, go ahead and read. <<less

"This had a good premise, but it is currently going nowhere. I know it's a slow-life story, but even that should have a limit.

Spoiler

The MC is not consistent at all. At first, he was very decisive, but then he became so hesitant about little things. The real star is now his familiar, Ara, and it gets pretty annoying.

He spent three years completing his first quest, but now he doesn't complete his quests even when he could do so easily. He is ignorant and does nothing about it. The list goes on and on.

Cute and simple story. No stakes everyday dungeon farmer. Was a little slow at the beginning and I was going to drop it but they introduce and focus more on relationships with other characters and that’s where the fun is.

So far (by chapter 59), it's pretty simple as far as story goes.

Simple but enjoyable. Don't expect much in the way of deep emotional intrigue but it reads well. There's no deeper plot apparent (so far) and every issue that pops up is more or less already solved by the time it's introduced. The translation is well done.

I'm always a fan of slimes so that's a plus too. Solid read if you want to indulge in low effort reading.

This has about everything I could ask for in a slow life fantasy; farming, cooking, cute critters, light politics, light combat, and a MC who has no sociopathic tendencies.

I won't say it is the absolute best of the best, but this web novel is definitely in the top tier if you're looking for an easy non-isekai slow life power fantasy to read. Highly recommended.
