Out of all the novels I've read, this has the most comprehensive healthiest relationship. Verbatim here are my notes from when I was reading it... 'shows me what love is. Most BL/romance novels portray love possessively. But perhaps from the very nature of the relationship in Your Distance, I find myself realising that love is the gradual maturance of both parties.' 

There's a lot of quiet compromise with one another and although it isn't very often explicitly expressed in direct actions, the author does an amazing job as expressing the ML and MC's love for each other. There is an age gap and that's probably why the relationship is so mature as it is. The ML is a great romantic partner and always provides a sense of security and trust. It feels so long term and good to read this.  <<less

I MTLED THIS AND I WOULD AGAIN! People in the reviews have discussed this before, but this novel deals with some heavy stuff. There's a lot of parallel metaphors drawn, and it's pretty obvious that the struggles omegas deal with in can be compared to struggles of women. It even deals with r*pe culture (blaming victims for their actions instead of the rapists), the strength of the privileged compared to the poor (for example: an aristocratic family is able to get off with a much lighter sentence and completely hide their corrupt/immoral actions towards lower families). ... more>>

It's not really hidden but honestly this book did make me cry. Maybe because I am also a woman and I could very much empathise with the MC. He always asks himself that if he wasn't born in his position of wealth and status if he would be treated differently. Honestly... big thumbs up. At some point I believe that the MC asks himself something like if he had been r*ped instead... would his parents be saying things differently? A lot of double standards. MTLED THIS because it was SO good. THE ENDING! THE ENDING!! THE PLOT!! The entire plot is really good. It starts off like your classic MC-ML apocalypse novel. The ML is strong and warm only the MC whatever whatever. But throughout the novel, the bunny MC really grows into her power and you can see her getting stronger at a good pace. The plot quickly transitions from romance to a relatively intense apocalypse plot. DO NOT BE DECEIVED BY THE TITLE! THIS IS NOT! A FLUFFY READ! It got sooo f*cking epic towards the end. Just... the title is heavily misleading. It's not one of those ditzy lighthearted romance reads. It's a heavyweight proper apocalypse novel of character growth, action, subplots etc. Action tag needs to be stressed more.

I did mtl this. BUT I MUST SAY this novel is SOOO FUNNY LMFAOOO so much of this cracked me up! FR FR had me rolling about cackling its so good. Anyway, girlboss MC. Kind of Mary Sue tbh but I don’t think it subtracted the experience. A lot of this is like her kicking ass and like people thinking she’s weak and then faceslapping them. Anyway also: this reminded me a lot of the other novel ‘crossing into the future it’s not easy to be a man’ but obviously completed and a lot more concise with the chapters. Honestly.... this isn't really a school life novel either (only in the very beginning). MC is a hacker who has reincarnated in the body of a girl pretending to be a boy. He's not OP though, as the backlash of such an ability is highlighted over and over again throughout the whole story. The plot is soooo tasty and well developed. Has to be since its a time travel story. SOO cohesive. Things from the beginning are explained at the end and hinted at the beginning... chefs kiss. SOOO good. Plot is full of face slapping amd reversals but its not all at once so its not too boring. The MC is soo good at scheming and theres lots of arcs and plots. But the villains always get face slapped and MC always gets suuuchhh satisfying revenge. Anyway read if you want a shy ML and girlboss feminist mc!
