Transmigrated as the Domesticated Rabbit of the Sick and Frail Villain in the Apocalypse

Description

Yin Yiliu transmigrated into a novel.

She became a mutated rabbit in the apocalypse which even came with two interspatial spaces. Her owner, Jin Yang, was the ultimate Villain Boss who would wreck the world in the later parts of the novel. Her mission was to help the villain counterattack and to prevent his death in the end.

At this time, Jin Yang was crippled and lifeless. Due to the apocalypse, he had been stuck in the villa all alone.

Thus, the bunny undertook the responsibility of looking after him. As the world underwent a global mutation, she worked hard to protect her owner and to provide him with food.

Then, baam, the little rabbit turned into a little girl with rabbit ears. In a cute baby voice, she said to the male and female lead, “You’re not allowed to hurt him!”

But never would she have expected that the one being pampered and doted on would be her instead.

From feeding her to taking care of her daily life, Jin Yang who had always been indifferent and reticent began raising a child/pet during the apocalypse, becoming an omnipotent stay-at-home dad. He took care of her so well that there was no chance for her to take care of him instead.

Yin Yiliu looked at the Villain Boss who was holding her with one arm while ripping apart mutated beasts with the other.

Where was the weak and frail villain we agreed on?

Jin Yang’s legs were broken by his enemies in a deliberate car accident.

From the favored son of heaven to falling into the quagmire, when the apocalypse arrived, people like him were not worthy to live.

In a daze, he saw a white little rabbit pressing his lips with its paw and feeding him fresh dew again and again.

At that moment he felt that life was worth living after all.

Story looks like normal cliche one. But beware!!!! It isn't.

Novel doesn't just revolve around a bunny MC rather it is growth of both MC & ml.

World building is amazing. Some descriptions will give you chills.

... more>> It's about friendship, teammates, humanity and working hard for a new hope..

I am not a doomsday fan but this novel is amazing.. (I haven't read much of this genre but I liked this one a lot)

Some scenes just leave you with tears. Many times I have to take break in between to get over some chapters whether it's emotional or action ones.

Side characters aren't just foils they have their own stories..

Even though "few" times I don't like MC (especially her being too much "kind" gives a feeling of little Mary Sue and all description of her being cute) but I still like the story and world building. A gem 💎

Hoping to have regular translated updates. Only translated ones can give you that "feel" even though mtl isn't bad. <<less

I was completely bamboozled by the title of this novel lololol. I thought it would be a silly sweet and a bit bitter novel about a female lead who transmigrated into a cute rabbit to take care of the villain ML and how they got together. Well, my thoughts weren't completely wrong as the novel is indeed this way. But only the first part of the novel is actually silly sweet and the next parts were just dark and serious. I did read the author's note that he/she wasn't good... more>> at writing fluffy romance so most of the fluff is during the time when FL was a rabbit and when FL had a child form.

Spoiler

FL was, at the start, very adorable but determined in protecting the ML. As much as she knows he will be powerful enough to become a villain in the original novel, she noticed that ML was really weak during the start of the novel and promised to protect him. Later, ML became very powerful and became overprotective of FL even though he knew she was strong. Because of this, FL became a naive person and easily got fooled into the enemies' traps several times. Though

, FL became a lot stronger and even had her own team. She looked sharper and colder and sometimes even bloodthirsty. However, in front of ML, she is a shy and girly woman uwu.

ML was pitiful. He, like other MLs, had a tragic past, so tragic that it still haunted him until around less than a quarter left of the novel. FL is his only sun and warmth and he's almost always indifferent to the other people around him (except maybe their teammates lol). I didn't like how people pointed at him as a pe*o since he literally raised FL when she was in her child form. At that time, ML only viewed FL as a child he must protect and even wanted her to call him 'father' at one point which she refused. FL also had the 20 + years old mindset so she, even in her rabbit and child forms, was inexplicably attracted to ML. ML only realized that his possessiveness of FL didn't seem like a father to his child when FL's body grew to make her look 15 or 16. He did try to hide and suppress those feelings until

I'd like to give a warning that this novel really went deep with its world-building so it talked a lot about evolution and extra-terrestrials and shizz which I think aren't really true but it did sound smart and logical. I also like how poetic that

in the beginning, the humans fought against mutant animals and plants; But, in the end, humans, mutant animals and plants had to combine together to completely destroy the alien enemies.

If you don't mind reading through a whole bunch of adventure in an apocalyptic world with a sprinkle of soft and beautiful romance, then you should go ahead and read this :* <<less

Giving this 4star because Author make second ML as villain. Overall I love this novel. Hmmm.

After the second ML turn into a villain, the plot disheartened me. I thought this is a remedy for a villain? Why did the author make another villain? It will not bother me if the author didn't make him as a stepping stone for MC and ML romance, and I don't know if he is considered as one but the author did mention in the rant that Cangyang (MTL) is second ML. Why tho? What's the point on making him as second ML? He didn't even have that much scene. Now I don't know how to feel about the main characters. I find him the most pitiful character here. It will be better if he is a villain from the beginning.

"Cang Yang Jiangqu sometimes thinks, how could God be so unfair, why he chose himself." Second ML 😭

I'm actually a BL reader but this one is one of my top BxG, ah. The MC rabbit isn't s*upid and even though she is OP it isn't something like other novels. I thought it would be cliche but noooo it was actually good and became one of my favorite ahh. The MC is too cute (not the face but her personality) I sometimes think she forgot that she is a human because she has rabbit instinct like in the early chapters where she kept teasing the mutant fish because... more>> she was bored! 😂 I love her so much ah.

When ML woke up. He faced the rabbits butt. 🤣 Me every morning. Facing my cats butt.🤣

I laughed so hard when ML got MC a small rabbit backpack for MC to carry 😂

I sometimes wish that MC was a squirrel, hamster, or a kangaroo. Since this animals has there own pocket so it will be justified that she is a spatial type animal. But anyway 🤷🏻‍♀️

MC and ML got separated. When they got back together... They both became an anchor to each other and heal their (more like ML's) past.

I felt uncomfortable here because MC's bubbly character got restrained because she wants to help heal ML. 🤧 But anyway it got solve. So yey <<less

Agreed with user Klarel's review. If you can ignore the logic the author uses in their world building/plot devices then you'll be able to enjoy this. I eventually got bored of the shallow writing and stock personalities of the MC and ML. I don't really know what I expected with the novel's set up but the pet thing is milked a lot but beyond that the ML and MC's relationship doesn't have a lot of depth or chemistry. It's just the standard dynamic of cute MC (with occasional badass moments)... more>> and cold to everyone but you ML. I actually enjoy fluff but even I found their interactions repetitive and boring. The camaraderie of the teammates was alright but I didn't find myself getting attached to any of the characters as they weren't developed well. <<less

Good cute story as long as you can ignore the idiocy of trying to describe the end-of-world situation scientifically as genetic regression. All this does is highlight the author's vast ignorance of how evolution works.

I just wanted to give a quick warning for anyone wanting to read it: While it does have a lot of fluff, especially at the first half of the novel, you'll also see some human experimentation in this novel, along with torture, gory parts, and developments that separate the couple a few times and keep you on the edge of your seats. They're not badly written, but not exactly what I've bargained for, lol.

The novel had a lot of world-building, for better or for worse. I was still interested in... more>> reading up to the end though. <<less

Hidden Gem. I've read mtl. This novel is good. Original Plot, Great Characters, both the main and side. The romance is also acceptable. The story is very thrilling and also had a touch of mystery in it. Questions will be answered as the plot progresses. The characters are also well developed. My favorite part (Spoiler Warning) : was when all earth creatures, humans, animals, and plants, teamed up to resist against the darkers, alien creatures that invaded the earth.

The author did a really great job on describing the apocalypse and... more>> the evolution of creatures as well as the alien creatures. I love the fl, she's dedicated, strong, kind, and loves the ml. I also love the ml, his possessiveness is justified as it was explained in the novel. And he's not really cold too. He eventually became kind to others as plot progressed because of FL and the sincerity the people gave to him.

Can't explain much. Just that the novel itself is honestly good. So I recommend this for others to read. Thank you translator for translating this novel and thank you author for writing this novel. <<less

reading this novel, I have to say that the plot is very original and interesting

the story has no plot holes, which I love.

Spoiler

the epilogue tied up loose ends about the original FL and ML in the original novel

[collapse]

the plot is not cliche. contrary to most believe (includingme), this story is not cliche at all. its a fun and engaging read which follows the life of our fl, in the apocalyptic era and more.

the plot is well elaborated and you dont need to really infer anything. I can tell that the author actually planned out the entire story from the start. all the 'scientific information' in that universe sounds logical. the world building is incredible <3 its amazing how the author could have thought of so many 'scientific' terms...

however, the story focuses more of the plot than the romance. so if you want to read it just for the romance, im sorry to say that they are not many 'romantic' scenes in the story as compared to other romance novels. but, I love the FL and ml's interaction and chemistry. though the romantic scenes may not be much, when it happens, its so sweet and cute <333

but I feel sad the 2nd ml, he appears quite late in the story though

Spoiler

he turns into the villain (not voluntarily) the other being controlled his body, and he only managed to regain control at the end... that was so sad;-;

[collapse]

one thing I want to add is that there are many side characters. theres nothing wrong with that, but sometimes I feel like their characters can be deepened and improved further. its not that they have no personality, its actually quite the opposite. but they have to little screen time for me to fully enjoy them. nevertheless, the author did a great job on them, and there were quite a number of characters she had to write. (a 100 times better than I could have anyway). I understand that trying to make your characters have enough personality and depth is difficult (trust me, ive tried writing before)

given that I found the raws of the novel and used google translate to translate the entire thing, it was a little difficult to read it, but it's still enjoyable. (i can read chinese, just that its harder to read it)

when I first started on the novel, I didnt really expect anything from it. but boy, did it prove me wrong. this novel is a must read for all kinds of readers alike <33333 AAAAAAAA I FEEL SO NOSTALGIC WHEN I FINISHED THE NOVEL <<less

It would have been better if the author say that people just get develop some animalism or insects' characters, than saying that people get back to their ancestor when they have some aspect or as some animal or insect.

And she keeps repeating that again and agian! That this is going back to the ancestores! Dose the author ancestors were insectes? Maybe, but her alone! And that really disgusting me too much every time she say that!

The story is amazing. It's fluffy with the MC and it's the kind of story wherein the thinking of the characters are improving in the plot. Like for example the characters are not only full of holy mother and stick to that character until the end. Reality made them realize their situation clearly and made them tough and not easily feel guilty whenever they kill people or speaking for the enemies that we should forgive them what nots second chances.

The ML is cool and easily adapted to the situation both... more>> in th plot and in the time he knows the identity of the rabbit. And the ML had an eye to choosing team mates so strict <<less

I was quite disappointed honestly. The story intro was good and cute indeed but the other side characters were brain dead. Also, I was still mourning from the fact that the MC' were trouble magnets, I know that MC's always attract problems, but this one is a headache. Not only did they attract trouble, their enemies were also brain dead and conceited. Plus, the s*upidity of the other characters felt so flat and no thrill at all. Cause, how could you feel good reading how a ret*rd provoked the MC... more>> then court their death without even realizing their wrong? Until the very end, they thought they were never wrong, which tires my brain out of my mind.

I'll rate it 4.5 for the uniqueness of the plot though, but the villains and cannon fodders were so s*upid that it made me give up on this. <<less

This is a very interesting doomsday novel. Honestly thought it would be a sweet, silly novel which was what I was looking for. However, it turned into an apocalypse, adventure filled novel which was pretty great.

Basic premise:

FL transmigrates into a novel that she dislikes as her favourite character is the villain, and she thinks the oriprotags suck. She becomes the "villain's" aka our ML's rabbit. In fact, minutes after she transmigrates, the apocalypse begins and she saves the ML when he falls into a sleep when gaining powers during the... more>> apocalypse.

The apocalypse in the novel isn't about zombies. It's about animals, plants gaining powers: becoming big, sucking human guts to grow, etc and hunting down humans as their food. Some humans also gain some powers. Some of them even get the power to turn into the animals/plants that consume them. The powers and story behind the apocalypse only gets weirder after that. The "science" behind it is also very dodgy and the author loves using a term "returning to ancestry". So if you hate that, don't read. Otherwise, just laugh and continue reading because it's just a premise that the author likes to use. I for one, enjoy the various interesting things that happen when the animals/plants gain some powers.

For example:

Spoiler

I love the description of the tree with red flowers and long stamens that pierces through humans/animals and sucks their insides leaving only the skin. Really cool. The huge blue whale gaining sentience was also pretty epic.

[collapse]

Moving on. So after the ML is saved by the FL rabbit, whom he thinks is a rabbit who gained powers too, they go on to find a safe place. And go on adventures. Meet people along the way. See the darkest side of humanity and the selfishness of people. Basically that.

We get to read stories of side characters that are interlaced with tragedy, human resilience, and struggles. FL also realizes that she can't save everybody. She can only do what she can.

I like the story because the journey of the FL and ML through the apocalypse is interesting. The way the author writes about the antagonists/villains of the story is also pretty fun to read.

Obviously some plants/animals gain sentience and more power than humans and go against the humans. Later on, there's some darklings/aliens involved too which I won't go into detail. But yeah, there are some wars against humans.

As for the personalities of the FL and ML:

FL is a sweet, soft girl. In fact, she appears to the ML first as a 4-5 year old. So she had a childish personality, and is coquettish. Later on, she suffers through the apocalypse and gain a colder outer personality. She is tough on the outside, and only acts soft, and sweet towards the ML.

ML is typical cold-faced guy who only smiles towards FL. But he had a tragic childhood with an abusive father. He only became cold-faced and silent after all that ab*se so I get that. He wasn't the spoiled rich son. He was ab*sed and tortured till he developed a cold personality.

Things I didn't like about the story:

The romance was very little. I had hoped that when the FL "grew up" to her 20 year old body, she would have more romantic moments with the ML. But there weren't any obvious scenes. It was all subtle, "I will protect you" vibes throughout their adventures. Their declaration of love was also quick with minimal romance. While I know its an apocalypse setting and people probably don't have time for tons of romance, I thought we'd have more of it in this one.

The cute moments of the FL as a bunny also disappeared when she separated from the ML. Later on there's very little mentions of the FL bunny moments. Not cute and fun anymore like the beginning of the novel.

Otherwise, a stellar read if you like adventure and strong supportive ML plus a cool FL. <<less

This story revolves in world building.

And the Author nailed it!

I love how the author narrates his story.

... more>> Every angle and corner of events and conflict was detailed.

For every characters (whether they are supportive, passer by, or canon fodder) are feels very much alive with their own different thoughts, story and feelings.

Both leads had a short coming. They are not the overpowered type character. They evolve in a process and both requires the assistance of other characters, which is I terrible like it, since the story is not just revolving to them.

FL is not kind (Mary sue kind).

She is considerate but her first priority is her golden thigh. So if she felt the tinge of uncomfortable to her man, she will first focus on him and only him. Other potentially good characters are just wasted though since both of them are in surviving mode mindset and Never minding them.

Both the good and bad consequences of the people desires, actions and event were amazingly detailed. Many characters and events makes me emotional.

However, I feels sad for some named characters I wanted to see and was not mention anymore. I think author can improve in this way too. I'm sooo curious to what happen to them after the main event. Geez!

Overall, this novel is a good read for me. <<less

Rating this lower than expected because the rating is too bloated.

The first half was pretty good, it was cute and wholesome. There was no saucy chemistry but there was mutual understanding between the characters. Until we get to the part of author getting confused on FL and ML shifting their feelings and got their character broken.

The author want to show so many things like one prime example was 'kindness and pure-heartedness is different but still exist in the apocalypse'. Its good and all, IF IT WASN'T TOO FREAKIN' DELIBERATE BY... more>> USING TO MANY PLOTS AND TOO MANY SIDE-CHARACTERS. I can only say, the romance was drastic and everyone's rational thinking was whipped into miniscule pieces. Author was overthinking too much actually that she added too many unnecessary arcs for everyone's character development when sometimes all they needed are some smartass*s to act nosy and tell them shts and end the main story! The story was stretch too much for me and the chemistry seems forced. <<less

I give it 4.5 stars and just round it up to 5.

A lot of reviews went over the story already but here's my two cents and so I know if I want to reread it later. The MC transmigrated into the story but we don't follow the original story at all. This might make it sound extraneous but it manages to make it still relevant although not a large part of the story. She's a nice girl but she knows her limits and doesn't act like a saint (how annoying... more>> those can be). There's three instances about 25-30% of the way in that I was annoyed by the mc's actions. One was when she stole a bunch of goods from a scummy base and thought herself clever when it totally wasn't. It was follow by two more semi s*upid actions which I gave her leeway for since she did it for a good cause. Thankfully, that was it because I was going to drop it if it showed a fourth instance of clear s*upidity or "cleverness". I also like that there's no face slapping because I personally find it infrequently well done and satisfying. The ML is standard fare: cold, expressionless, ultra capable, strong, only cares about our MC. Good thing I like that cutout although it can get tiring and I want to switch it up sometimes. He does have an interesting back story that takes a while to explain because the author sprinkles little tidbits that didn't make sense until we're at like 70%. As you read it, our bunny FL could only transform into a 4-5 yr old human child at first so any romance seems to be in cold water but the author was able to finagle it with some power ups and a two year separation.

This story has its own "science" and it sticks to it pretty consistently so props for that. Also no forgetting of characters where they just disappear. I was getting worried about some of the characters but she brought them back towards the end. We did have a last minute wrapup on the original FL in the epilogue. The last three chapters was an epilogue of what happened after they won. So yay for no plot holes. There were a lot of sad parts in the last 30% of the novel since it is the apocalypse. I think I teared up in two or three instances due to the side characters circumstances.

Notes on mtl. It's been stuck at chapter 58 for a while so I just decided to mtl the next 150 or so chapters. Not recommended unless you really want to read it and your brain can do the mental gymnastics. Usually mtl does pretty good with Chinese. (Please don't do Japanese because it makes very little sense.) In this case, I had to do a lot of mental contortions and reconfiguring of sentences to make it make sense. The author writes really weird. I happen to be visiting my mom and had her read one very weirdly phrased translated sentence and the original Chinese was very convoluted and roundabout to say he was wearing hiking clothes. Btw, foxaholic had excellent translations. <<less

I actually like this novel quite a bit, but my teeth is sore and I can’t focus DX so I decided to drop it early and come back to read it another time. The novel is set in an apocalyptic environment — not of zombies! But of rapid evolution of plants, animals, humans, etc. as well as an increasingly dangerous environment. The tone of the novel is kinda dark but the cute Bunny!MC and the doting-father!ML lightens the mood quite a bit.

All in all, it’s quite interesting. The worldbuilding is... more>> unique and the characters are likable and charming. I think if I wasn’t in such a bad mood because of my teeth, I could have read for longer DX for now tho... Can’t anymore! (As for those interested in trying it out, the MTL is quite readable — 80-90% — if plugged directly into Google translate.) I won’t be giving this an official rating cause I didn’t make it to the halfway point, but for right now, my thoughts are that it’s anywhere from 3.5-4.25 stars out of five. <<less

It's actually not bad. It's touching, thrilling, sometimes scary and gruesome, and sometimes it's cute. There's actually a lot of contradictions here. It shows the dark side of humanity, but at the same time, it shows hope and unity. Moreover, this is the first time I've read an apocalyptic setting without the zombies. That's a plus point because it has an edge among the other apocalypse stories.

However, let's talk about the things I feel baffled about.
Spoiler

In the earlier chapter, the scene where a certain Niu brat together with that Qiu Chong (not sure anymore) anyway, he's that bird mutant who covets the FL's bunny ears, it was mentioned that one of their teammates used something like ice. In fact, that guy killed Hei Lang's mother with an ice spear. However, it's baffling because it's more or less like a superpower rather than an evolved man, which is inconsistent with the setting of the story. Next, about the time skip. The only time skip which was clearly mentioned is the 2 year time skip. However, in the latter chapters, it was mentioned that the apocalypse has been going for nearly 10 years, which confused me. After all, when they were separated, it's just the 1st year of the apocalypse, then there's the 2 years separation. So what happened with the remaining 7 years time skip? It's not mentioned. Next is the "too detailed and too much going on" chapters or fillers. There are some chapters which I skipped because it's not that important and I know that the characters in that chapter won't appear again. It kinda made me feel impatient and bored. And lastly, I'm quite dissatisfied with how the author sometimes "debuffed" the FL. It's because sometimes, the FL looks weak (well, she's indeed the strongest female character in the story though). However, she's been downplayed often when paired with the ML. It's understandable though as the ML is in the 9th level while she's at 8th. But still, I expected more from her.

[collapse]
.

Nevertheless, it's still a good story with a unique twist.
Spoiler

When I was expecting some usual apocalyptic scenes like zombies and the likes which is the common apocalyptic setting, I was given some aliens and such. Also, although I did say that those fillers bored me, the good side is that the information given by the author is very detailed. Therefore, I can really imagine it (to the point that there's one time where I got a little scared at night because when I close my eyes to sleep, I can imagine those gruesome looks of the aliens), anyway, kudos to that! The action scenes are also excellent due to the detailed narration. Lastly, about the romance, well it's sweet and touching but I think the story focuses more on the action scenes as well as the conflict of humanity and morality which is also worth the thought.

[collapse]

Finally, let's talk about the things I feel disappointed (and sad) about.
Spoiler

First on the list is the Xuyang team. I thought they will stay together until the end as a team, so I was fairly sad when they broke up. Although they are still friends, I was expecting some adventures of them together. Second, is about the short-lived second ML, Cangyang Jiangqu. I don't know what scene of his pained me more. Was it when he doesn't want the FL to know that his consciousness is still there when she visited him because he wants her to remember his good appearance rather than his hideous and pitiful appearance because of the alien inside his body, or was it when he told the researchers that if his heart wasn't rotten yet, bury it to his country and let him return to his roots? I actually also feel unfair for him. Like, why him? And why be the 2nd ML darn. And third, there's not much extra stories. I want to know whether Zhao Qiyang really ended up with Lin Jia. Or does Xiaoxiao likes the City Z base's lord or she just like going after him because he's like an elder to her? Anyway, I really want to know this.

But despite all of this, I am quite happy that the main "threads" were all tied. Like, the supposedly FL and ML of the novel, the future of Yin Yiliu and Jin Yang, the Earth's consciousness, and what happened after the new era started.

Overall, it's a good story, especially for those who want some action scenes, an apocalyptic setting, aliens, shape shifting, romance, and more. It's an 8.5/10 for me.

This story is pretty fun. A lot less superficial than I thought. It was getting a bit too long so I’m going to take a break and come back to it.
