Those novels are well-written, with coherent story, coherent protagonists, coherent fantasy/modern world-building. Coherence and consistency in both plot and character behaviour are really important for me. I am not looking for realism. I am looking for cohesion and escapism. I don't mind characters who are OP, filthy rich, tsunderes, yanderes, geniuses, black-belly, child-like adults, evil demons, amoral characters, shota, obssessive, possessive etc.. i don't mind excessive characters because that's exactly what i like. I like that in Asian lit, those marginal characters are heroes and not defined by standardised morality. In Western lit, i don't meet many characters like that, and i have 45yrs of reading western literature. The only character set i avoid are indecisive protags who have no self-knowledge and keep self-analysing which i find quite boring. IRL, i also avoid such people lol... <<less

My preferred taste is FLUFFY, but I also sport for the occasional angst & tearjerker novel. Modern stories are personally easier to digest. Historical or xianxia/cultivation stories are loaded with Chinese references & I can easily get lost. However, they can be very poetic & beautiful, which is why I bear the pain of treading carefully. Unlimited flow is a fun pastime at the cost of my brain cells.  <<less

I also want to mention that due to some completed novels that looks like it has no chapters... is because of the translators locking the chapters and sites. You either have two or three options. ✿(P.S. I put a sign to distinguish at the end of each novel's bio to distinguish if its a password needed novel.....)✿

[ 1.)You can ask permission from the translators to read them but it doesn't really happen often ..

2.) or I recommend this method more which is, you can go to their website and read their explanation or bio on how to read the locked chapters, it varies. ***But in most cases, you can either DM their used social media like twitter to get the password. Or either get an invite from their discord; get verified; and get the password; and there you can finally read....(If you still can't find info or anything then the translator might have really deleted their translations, in worse cases you might never read those masterpieces...) ;-;

3.) There is also translators here who ban some countries due to bots ripping off their hard work. The only thing you could do is just use VPN. But if not, you are very very lucky..... cause my country is banned so I have to use VPN. *sobbing* ｡ﾟ(ﾟ´Д`ﾟ)ﾟ｡  ] <<less

At best: independent badass leads where the romance is a build up of them doing their own thing and getting to know each other; solid world building; 3d characters all around; fluff that makes you happy and not bored to read; there is actually good plot; there is life beyond romance but the romance makes it nice to read too

I rate most of this out of my PERSONAL enjoyment so take note of that.  

1 - Horrible. That's it. Would not recommend even to my worst enemy. 

2 - It's bad but did I finish it? Most probably yeah. And I completed it solely for one character or thing (could be the translation etc)

3 - I enjoyed the moment but there are 'eh' times. I'll prolly forget most of the things about it. 

3.75 - I was entertained. I would recommend to people. There's 'eh' moments but still a good read

4 - Yes I enjoyed soo much! But there's one thing that puts me off. Still, it doesn't make the book less enjoyable so people should read it 

4.5 - Would 100% recommend like hell yes! Rereadable! 

5 - I constantly think about this novel and I would give my soul to erase my memories and read it all over again. <<less
