His unabashed admiration of 'birds', shameless attitude towards life, and unintentional face-slapping of rivals make him quite cute and fresh. The first few arcs are great and really establish Chen You as a character. Be warned though, the ML is crazy possessive, the story becomes really angsty at times, and the ending kind of feels like a cop-out. Also, Chen You fully embraces roles that are not usually written about, like a drug-addicted prostitute, an inmate, a wuxia pimp, and a (literal) dead bird. If you can handle jokes about serious subjects, this is sure to be a hilarious read.

Ok a warning upfront: Shi Qing is absolutely shameless. He knows what he wants (ML) and he's basically plotted out all 9999 steps to get there from the beginning. He's not afraid to twist the truth or get his hands dirty. His system and the ML basically are just being strung along by him the entire way lol. He's OP from the start so there's not much room for development here. There's no real conflict, and most of the fun is from seeing how he manages to slap the faces of all his enemies without getting a single speck of blood on himself.

This novel is split into several arcs which can technically be read separately without losing too much information which was great because I really disliked some of them. I tried to like the MC and ML but I just can't because they're too perfect and never suffer any serious setbacks. The villains and supporting characters are one dimensional and incompetent. There's just no suspense because you know they will win every confrontation. My favourite worlds included the artist and priest roles because they showed a more vulnerable and innocent side of Zhou Yunsheng. 

One of the few completely translated novels on the list, it's not bad with lots of face-slapping, but 'Don’t Pick Up Boyfriends From the tr*sh Bin' does things better. 3/5 <<less
