MC - Chu Mu Yun x 7 Deadly Sins. A Transmigrations/system story. The world building was good, the interaction between the system and the MC was cute/funny. Each Demon Lord was exquisitely described and magnificently seductive, but then it got boring pretty quick as it was rinse and repeat and while there is an ultimately HE, at least for me, I wasn't really satisfied.

I don't understand the high rated reviews. This was such a hard read, but I persevered a little more chapters but I could not take it anymore. The first mission to capture the Lord of Pride had so many problematic themes It just felt so off.

First was the g*ooming and literal pe*ophilia. Even if you argue that MC was an adult, Pride ML preyed on him when he was 15, kissed him and groomed him until he was an adult. Envy ML was no better, he immediately preyed on the... more>> MC despite being a literal kid, also he immediately kissed him when MC was in his second life as a beast, MC even clearly stated that he was recently born and was clearly a child!!

Going back to the Pride ML, this dude would've taken MC in bed when he was 15 if not for the curse, literal pe*ophilia. Not to mention the amount of in*est, pseudo-in*est to be clear (Relationship between Step-father and step-son), MC even admitted that their relationship was a debauchery, and Pride ML repeated multiple times that MC was a child and did not know any better, but still continues to groom him. Pride ML continued to have a relationship with the MC from 15-20 years old, preying on him since he was 11. Not to mention that Pride ML raised him, and they still call each other father and son. The reviews are so weird, all of it are warnings of r*pe and manipulative characters which the story did not lack but not the very much non concealed pe*ophilia? Doesn't matter if the MC is an adult st heart btw, the MLs all assumed he was a child.

The MC isn't any better, he was incredibly interesting, being a dominant top but borderline a pe*ophile. He regarded that Yan fire guy as his "Child bride" and was constantly thirsting over him, wanting to top him and saying that he was too cute to resist despite that Yan guy being literally 14. You could also argue that the g*ooming, the pe*ophilia was consented and not consented at the same time because MC knew the tricks that was happening but chose not to do anything about it because it favors his mission is extremely wrong.

All these r*pey and pe*ophilic vibes were so not necessary, you could get rid of those dialogues and internal monologues and the story would be the same. You could age up MC into an adult, and the age difference still wouldn't change because the MLs are thousands of years old.

I stopped reading because I thought this themes would only be in Pride ML's story, but it kept going and going. It just feels super weird, I know that the MC scheming all of these is supposed to lighten the problematic themes, but you can't blame me for dropping this. <<less

It's been a while since I've read this, but I still remember it, which is proof enough that it's worth a read if you're into BL. What I liked most was the MC. He is exactly the type of MC I go for - smart (scheming master), cool-headed, detached but not emotionless. He's also petty, which was a plus for me. Since he's a writer, he's a pro at spinning dog-blood drama and made me cry a few times, even though I knew it was all the MC's scheme and... more>> I had the system's cute antics to cheer me up.

For those who want to know about the male lead and whether this is a harem:

It's a 1v1. It's part of the reveal at the end of the novel, so no further spoilers, go read. Just be assured that it's not a harem situation exactly, though it certainly gives that feeling while reading. It's a bit of both, I guess. Personally, I was happy with it.

This story is literally like a confession to me. The author is portraying that no matter how many times you reincarnate, no matter what identity you will take, even if you'll forget who you were and start all over again, the feelings we had for each other will never change.

The story is really good. You would never expect the twist and turns of the plot. You'll have your head banging on the wall, wallow in sadness due to their past, grit your teeth beacuse of the s*upidity of some characters,... more>> laugh till you fall of your bed due to "system's" antics. The sad part is that the side characters never stuck till the end and some plots are unexplained clearly or just left there. But over all, it's really full of good stuff even there's drama, you won't feel it sometimes due to the interaction between the MC and his pet (system).

yeah. The system is literally his pet. No not his son. God no. That would be another headache, dog food, and barrels of vinegar from the ML.

As I've said, you won't really expect the plot to be like that. Like how their past had a very biiiiig role. Well all of the following things happened due to their past lives. Also, it's really sad when you put yourself on their shoe.

How my dear Sloth was rejected and condemned, alone for thousands of years. Like how little Envy was abandoned, standing on the snow waiting for his return. How Gluttony waited for his beloved just to look at him and stay with him, taste his craft and end up sacrificing himself and his feelings just to give him freedom. How Lust did everything just to catch his attention and end up killing himself due to "one-sided love".

As for Greed our paranoid kid always doubt his beloved feelings, digging himself a pit. (Oh this is on the second life, not much info during the first) Pride, oh dear pride, was very pampered being the first of them, was loved, spoiled, end up loving him only to be rejected making him do crazy stuff yeah. And lastly (yeah by the way I separated the paragraph cuz I think the first had the heart wrenching experience esp the first three) our little mad dog Wrath, the luckiest of them I guessed? Tho he did sacrifice himself and "died" at least he experienced a loving relationship for thousands of years.

And how MC was alone watching the evolution of time unable to get in-- trap in a cage, condemned for loving, and always experiencing of losing his love one for thousands of years (due to s*upidity of his past self as the current him mourned).

As you read, you will get hints of the MC and ML's identity. Like how they (ML) sometimes dream the same thing. And how the MC also dreams something and how some things the MC think that he did but didn't really recalling doing them.

For example, the array that trapped Wrath. When MC first saw it, he felt that the array was very familiar but he didn't recall doing it. Then he also felt that it was really his style of doing things

One of the subtle hints of the identity of the MC too is that, when his agent said that he may have lived in the Devil's Realm because the way he explained it was so detailed as if he lived there.

Another is his by stander attitude when dealing with the ML or the way you felt that he is like by stander of things. You also feel like he has no feelings, heartless, and cold blooded like an immortal diety looking at things aloofly (The Seven deadly sins felt that our MC is like that like he is somehow heartles-- bearing like a god who do not love and hate esp when they found out that the MC is actually calculating them)

I've been waiting!!!! Probably the first story I really did details into spoiling so I'm really attached. XD

This story is really really good, tbh don't judge it before you finish at least the first arc. The MC calmly handles everything according to how he 'wrote them' and so the angst is there, but very little of it is real...

The MC is mostly unaffected by the angst he directs and his system zero is like a baby so cute with its reactions.

There's no golden finger from what I can tell... like... more>> his system doesn't give him significant cheats or anything... the MC isn't really pressured to do this at all... there's just something he really wants.

Superb translation, both hilarious and heart-wrenching at times.

The MC and the system is probably the best part of the story. The MC is a shameless, arrogant, trouble making, and petty schemer He is able to detach himself from the events surrounding him, but he is definitely not emotionless. I suspect he sees himself as a spectator rather than a participant. He makes clear boundaries between his true self and the persona he adopted to cater to the 7 dudes which is honestly really amusing.

This also makes all the supposedly angsty parts sort of hilarious because you know he ain't really feelin it and he's just acting all innocent and cute when we all know he's a shameless, pe*verted, and petty guy.

The setting and world-building of the story itself is also hilarious and fun with little twists and turns that involves the MC's kinks, which is hilarious to see.

Since he's the creator of the world, it's also really amusing to see him fall for his own crappy settings, such as the obvious one; having to flirt with the 7 (very seme) villains; forcing him to bottom, or getting himself turned into a furry an anthro bc of his own kinks, and not being able to flirt with his fave character because he's straight as a flagpole. I guess you reap what you sow lol.

The system is also really loveable, probably bc it's the only sane character (initially) compared to everyone, including the MC. In fact, the system is the only character that would have reacted as normal human beings do, especially in the beginning.

A well paced story injected with sweet poison and stuffed with dog blood drama with the full pretense of "acting".

The protagonist is hilarious and extremely petty but nonetheless extremely smart especially when you're dealing with seven mental cases.

If it wasn't written with the protagonist's thoughts I would have exactly been like zero baby; QAQ.

... more>> Towards the end you have an inkling to who the ML is and throughout the story you fall into a morbid sense of love with all the sins.

And in the end you can't help agree with the rotten woman's comments; The true gospel is to love them all.

This is a very funny BL involving an MC who paints himself as a white lotus shou when he's actually a cunning, heartless gong who is playing with all of the ML's heart strings like he's in a dating sim game. Initially, everything is predictable and fully within his control, but he learns the hard way that even he does not know everything about this world he had created.

Got to really love the MC. His scheming mind doesn't lose to the MLs, and most of the time he's the one who sets them up, and most of the time they deserve it. Nice pacing to the story and really great characterization for all the MLs (which makes most of them jerks~).

This novel was top tier I would 100% give it a 5/5. The MC is smart, cunning, and just a little bit scummy but in the best way possible. Seeing him manipulate everyone to his advantage is just so much fun, and I love his flair for the dramatic. He goes right in with the soap and there is never a dull moment. As for the MLs, I love all of them which is incredibly surprising. MLs tend to be really underdeveloped so to have seven unique fun and interesting love interests is not easy. Yet the author pulls it off. They are all different and have unique dynamics with the MC that play into their sin.

I do think the overall resolution is a bit rushed. Compared to the grand finales of all the individual stories it's a bit of a let down, but I'm willing to forgive it because seeing them go to modern day earth is really funny. The rest of the plot though it just great. I'm a huge fan of soapy dramas where lovers betray each other and fight all the time so it was right up my alley. Every decision that the MC made was the one I wanted him to make and sometimes he even surpassed my expectations.

All in all this is probably one of my favorite danmei ever. It's the only one I've loved enough to suffer through the mtl for so you know it's worth a read. Even if you're not a fan of harem novels I'd say give it a try. Warning if you're planning on reading though, it does have some topics that maybe triggering to others like su*cide and dubcon. So if that really upsets you steer clear. Other than that it was a great read and I wish more people knew about this amazing novel!

This is so worth reading. Part of the reason is because it's so really unique from the others I have read. It's so cleverly written! The MC is probably my favourite part about the novel, along with the poor system (sooo cute! Love the system!). The MC is black-bellied and it's really amusing watching him manipulate the MLs.

I've always seen this novel whenever I skim tru some recommendation lists, but I skip it.

Cause I hate stallion or harem novels...

The title really Gabe's you an impression that it's a harem so I never bother to read the list of genre or even the sypnosis of the story.

This novel gives me an impression of Game Loading with a touch of strategy of capturing scum gong cause of the dogblood plot for every arc and the way the system and the MC interact.

It is very good and is very satisfying in every way.

Though you will shed tears for every monologues of ML every now and then...

But it is very good.

MC and ML suffers the same and you will not find any unfairness in the story.

It's very balance, in the middle of reading you will find yourself questioning the plot, like what is the goal or what will be the conclusion after the MC collected mls' answer to the proposals.

So you may found yourself impatient knowing the ending. I read tru forums before finishing the novel...

Hahaha it's very satisfying. Even if you had read the summary before you end it..

It still not the same as finishing up the story your self.

It is highly recommended...

And then I just found out that the author of this novel and game loading is the same!!!

Because if the I'm going to binge read all this authors novel.

He is great!!

Really, really fun story. The summary doesn't give our main character justice. It portrays him as your usual helpless shou who was thrown into some horrible situation he was not prepared for. It really couldn't be farther from the truth.

I really love how each of the main leads are both tools and obstacles for the main character to get them to fall in love with him. Pretty fun novel, I quite like the concept and how it was executed. Main character is very shameless with his antics, and the fact he manages to make some of these crazy men suffer for him is amusing.

However, story has a few loose knots that will never really be answered, several side characters are sort of just thrown away when it's done, and I feel the ending is a little cheaply done.

This is a very refreshing story. The MC's reactions to the situations are the opposite of what you would expect, in fact the system's reactions are much more "normal". I l0ve that the MC knows pretty much everything going on but he misses things that come back to bit him later. I alway get caught up in the angst even though I know it isn´t real. This is my favorite novel currently, but the updates are really infrequent.

This is my first time writing a review. I really tried to like this novel unfortunately it just wasn’t for me. Normally I read novels with high ratings, however, I don’t think this novel deserves the praise it’s getting.

This novel is r*pey. Like non-consensual s*x every chapter. (So much so I had to add the r*pe tag because no one else had it added). And I get it, they are the seven sins so obviously they are not morally right characters but still I was very... more>> uncomfortable reading this story. You’re probably like “well why’d you read so far? Or why didn’t you just stop readinig?” Truthfully I wanted to see why the novel got such high reviews, but I still couldn’t get past the constant r*pe. I guess it bothered me that the MC could care less about the ab*se he received from the sins he was “proposing” to because he acted as though he was in control of the situation (which to some degree he was; it was like reading about a masochistic chess game.)

Honesty he had no bad feelings about being r*ped because to him he truly didn’t care. Crazy right? At one point he even says in an internal dialogue when dealing with Gluttony that he didn’t care if he was forced. It was a literal wtf moment for me.

MC’s character is dark, like really dark. He uses himself to the extreme by any means to achieve his goal. He’s self-deprecating, a victim of ab*se, uses death as an ability to escape. He is an extreme masochist. However, he acts like nothing matters to him because he completely separates himself from the actor personality he plays in order to make the sins fall in love with him.

Honestly, I felt really sad reading this novel wondering how someone could treat themselves like that.

That being said if your anything like me you probably didn’t read as far as I did. And I really did try to be like the MC and separate my feelings from the characters he played but I truly could not do it.

Every time the sin justifies his love for MC as he is raping him, drugging him, kidnapping him, etc & his picture slowly lights up (he falls in love)... then when MC dies they hold onto his body and have s*x with the f*cking dead body?!?! Because they miss him?! Yeah f*cking right. Um... men are awful. Disgusting.

Then they say these pretty lines of “when MC comes back I’ll just be satisfied with seeing him even if he won’t forgive me for what I’ve done”... bullshit. They just force kisses on him the moment they see him then have s*x (r*pe MC). Like what the f*ck?! Is this just a r*pe glorified s*x novel with a little bit of plot?

So yeah, I don’t get the high reviews on this novel, I don’t find it beautiful or like a confession or whatever. It just made me upset and feel icky. Like it’s so depressing...

Just to reinforce what I’ve said, this novel has no concept of consent. It DOESN’T exist. I truly believe there is no regard for how the MC feels, the sins just want to dominate, control, and f*ck him.

So I guess the real question I should be asking is why do you high review 4-5 star raters really like this novel? Does it get better in the remaining 70+ chapters? Truly? Because this is really just about a man’s desire to f*ck something he wants to have (I say something like an object because clearly they don’t see MC as a human being, maybe more like a s*x doll). I’ve read 200 chapters and the plot (the little of it that exists) has barely progressed.

Very impressive and meticulous story. Besides MC playing out his role to the perfection, the plot is very interesting, with mystery and suspense, with the things occurring having effect in cycle of cause and effect.

This story has rich dynamics. It was both fun and heartrending to read about eight versatile and well-written characters getting entangled with each other. As each ML comes with their own fully developed arc, you don't get the feeling you're reading about a harem.

However, it's also the tension between multiple characters that helps propel the plot onwards, which is why you have to complete the second arc to get the mood of the novel. As a result, the first few chapters left me with the impression that the narration was... more>> a little shallow, but this was soon counteracted by the many events that follow. Pride's arc simply acts as an introduction -it was the most generic scenario of the novel. From here on out, the story builds upon it and gets so much better.

As the father of his own novel that he has transmigrated into, the MC, Chu Mu Yun, knows the MLs like the back of his hand, so when they're lying, he'd be able to tell. Although he thoroughly uses this to his advantage in capturing their hearts and deceives them so hard role-playing, he also unexpectedly expends a whole lot of effort -ten years, hundred years, doing so.

There's no doubt that the MC is OP in this world, but you'll find that with each ML, the gap between them gradually decreases. As such, the interactions only get deeper as the story progresses.

I almost want to put an adventure tag on it because of how exhilarating the MC encountering them under different circumstances and settings was. Not to mention they actually do explore new places together. Apart from the rushed ending, the non-linear progression of his captures kept me on the edge of my seat for most of the chapters, as often enough, the MC had to put one ML on hold and come back to him only after settling another. <<less

So before reading the story I could not understand why this story had such a high rating, because when I read the first chapter I found that the MC was kinda a sl*t. (sorry, but not sorry)

But later I gave it another chance and then I really began to like the MC. He is really cool and intelligent. Plus: the main leads are kinda a**holes, which is why it was always so satisfying to see how the MC makes them fall in love with him. It is also kinda... more>> hard to make them fall in love with the MC and the MC understands the difference of what is love and what is just obsession. It makes also sense that this task is not really that easy and only someone like the MC could achieve that, because these main leads have lived for a long time and therefore have already seen many things. It would make no sense, if the mls would easily fall in love with MC.

I personally prefer it if the MC and the ML are both virg*ns in the story, but in this case the story is so interesting and the MC is so cool that I can even ignore that and continue to read on. Usually I do not like harems, but in this story I could totally accept that and I am even looking forward to it!

(After reading is story I am also kinda questioning love...)

This is the only novel that I completed using the raw chinese text and some MTL. Amazing novel. Beautifully written.

At the start of the novel, we learn that MC has (seemingly for no reason) transmigrated into a fantasy wuxia world that he wrote and he is tasked with a crazy mission to propose to 7 guys. Transmigration is a very popular genre in chinese novels. But in most novels with this genre, we don't get a meaningful explanation of why it is so important for MC to complete their tasks... more>> after transmigration. Usually this premise is just a vehicle to showcase how OP the MC is and to showcase how hot the ML is, how loving ML is as ML woos MC.

However in this novel this self-indulgent troupe has an actual meaningful purpose. There is a beautiful plot reveal/twist at the end that fills in all plot holes and explains the reason of this "harem". Not to give any spoilers, but this is not a harem novel (as the misleading title suggests), but a story about love and how MC experiences love and struggle with it. I love the allegory of the 7 deadly sins (pride, envy, greed, lust, sloth, wrath and gluttony) and how the avatar of each sin reflects MC's journey. This novel makes you fall in love with the characters, and also hate MC for torturing them.

Also, if you have read the author's other novel "A Wave of Exes", you will see many similarities between both novels. However I think this novel is far superior in terms of the storyline and pacing.

I can't wait for this novel to be fully translated.. Definitely my favorite BL novel by far! <<less

Good novel from what I have read. The translation is good. The translator updates not to fast or slow. I recommend reading this beautiful BL novel. This novel got me hooked on the first few chapters. I can't get enough it. I'm also looking forward for more updates and I will wait patiently for more updates also.

I will re-edited this once a few more chapters come out.

Four stars.

Firstly the concept was interesting, and the characters all have their defining characteristics. The MC is a typical smart black bellied top that is forced to be a bottom in the world he created. Meaning: he knows everything about everyone he's gonna capture. This makes a good base for the story. Plot wise, I finished 103 chapters in two days so I'll let that speak for itself.

My problem with the story is that the angst, the 'slaughter' is verbally conveyed. It's not shown and that diminishes the heartache a... more>> lot. Rather than have a single person relay everything he has been though/done for the ML, show it.

Overall a good novel, it's not the best but it is one of a kind when it comes to concept. <<less
