The main character is an ansolute delight, a menace to society. He f*cks over anybody that remotely disturbs his peaceful life, is very lazy and funny as well. 

The comedy is good but the humour misses alot if you dont vibe with it. 

Some pet peeves is that the mc is unironically referred to as a "monster" way too many times by all the characters and the author to the point it gets in the way of the reading experience while adding an unneccesary edge to the novel. 

The author also has something against Americans but it doesn't become annoying. 

The plot, its not the greatest but its decent and doesnt drag the story down. 

A well done harem, doesn't get in the way of the story. 

The novel has alot of politics and commentary on human nature and stuff. 

The ending is very satisfying and one of my favrioute, not that i have read many endings but it was still a great ending to a good novel.

The novel has a slow place, the first part focusing on the academy and the 2nd part is what you would expect going into the novel. The academy part is well done as well as the second part (so far). 

The mc is a chaotic neutral, he'd be ready to pluck out your balls if you cross the line but he's a relatively decent guy otherwise, not very dense either, from what I've seen the harem is well done as well. 

The plot is relatively slow in the first part and gradually picks up in the second part, which is where it gets good, as the first part is mainly focused on school life where the majority of comedy is, which didn't hit the spot for me but to each their own.

The characters get on your nerves, that's why the moment i realised what kind of novel this was gonna be, i started laughing at the mc instead of feeling any sympathy for him, very funny in that sense but if you can't do that well, goodluck. 

The harem is not done well so far, and i really mean it, unless you're a saint or a monk in training you'd absolutely lose your sh*t before you get anywhere near as far as i have. 

Great world building, almost as if I'm reading a history book but that's the problem. Most people aren't here to well, read a history book. Slow paced. It takes some time for the plot to pick up and get going.

The world building is absolutely fantastic, if you appreciate good world building as much as me, this novel is worth it for that alone. The world has so much to offer as we go much deeper into the lore, exploring different aspects of magic and how it would be if humans had completely adapted to it.

 The mc is very unique as his original personality is merged with the villain he possessed which leads to quite the entertaining scenarios, he's cool as f*ck. 

The characters are distinct from each other, each of them feels unique yet human and there is no cartoonishly evil mustache twirling villain here. 

Despite all its good the novel also has many glaring weaknesses, the biggest one being the plot and I have no clue what the f*ck is going on with the harem. Now the first half is fine but on the second half all of it spirals out of control, first the many unnecessary side arcs which add nothing to the main story and then the main plot which drags on too long despite feeling like it should've ended well before the 300 chapter mark, at least things that couldn't be resolved by then shouldn't have kept piling on and on with no end in sight. 

The only reason I still hold the novel in such high regard is because I have yet to finish reading it but as the end gets closer and closer the more reluctant i feel to keep reading because this ending might as well turn this from a shining diamond in the rough to coal, for me at least. 

9/10 as of yet.

Our mc is a absurdly kind man who has to commit evil deeds in order to save the world and the main heroines are trying to kill him because they think he's actually evil. I do know that I'm simplifying the plot too much but i can't really talk about it without spoiling the initial chapters, which i think are the best so far. The plot is much, much deeper than that and the main characters very well written. We didn't 't see enough of the side characters yet but that might change in the future. 

The novel does start with him entering the academy so that's that. 

The harem is well done or so I've heard.

Our main character is transported into a dark souls academy game with a difficulty rating of impossible+ as a character named Isaac with the stats of a cannon fodder. 

The main character of the game is not up to the task of saving the world so our mc has to do it but with his terrible stats and a catch, the catch being that he's the bane of existence for the demons as his especial ability makes him very strong while facing demons but, only while facing demons (the title) which then leaves alot of room for misunderstanding, not the bad kind tho, these are handled superbly. 

He trains to get stronger with the resolve to save the world so that's that. Not much of character development as of chapter 42 and nothing in the romance department, as this is a harem we have multiple heroines, all well written except for maybe one.

We don't get to see much of the world building as of now since the novel is pretty much contained within the academy but I've heard some good things. 

The author keeps talking about the curves of the saint whenever she's on screen, reading that gets annoying after a while but it's manageable. Give it at least 5 chapters.

The title sums up the plot, or not? Maybe. This is a novel about a guy being abandoned by his childhood friend, and to cope with this, he joins the army (the fantasy equivalent of starting gym to get over your ex) there, he meets a saint, where as before he's abandoned by her as well after opening up to her, our mc, now hearbroken twice, takes all his frustration out on the demons becoming a war hero due to all the feats he has accomplished in the process, after the end of the war with nothing to do he wishes to retire but he's offered a position at the academy by his commander. Now about the mc, he's a reasonable guy, neither a pushover nor a goody-two-shoes. He's very humble to the point it might become annoying but that's due to the fact that he has self esteem issues, he has some real depth to him. He does wallow in self loathing a bit too much I'd say. 

About the annoying parts, the mc is SUPER DUPER MEGA ULTRA 4K HD handsome and he acts like he isn't aware, very annoying, plus he's damn dense, not a neutron star but he still gives a black-hole a run for their money but that I believe that changes eventually so not that big of a deal. 

This is a harem, not much to see as of chapter 98 but all the female characters are decently written, decent worldbuilding and lack of info dumps which is good.
