Novels that I have read/am reading that I wouldn’t recommend for one reason or another (list may contains spoilers)

Basically what the title says. I absolutely detest Harems but I'll still keep Pseudo Harems here (MC isn't married to a lot of chicks but there's plenty who like and spend time around him anyway). I feel having Harems decreases the overall quality and its hard to talk about true love while the MCs banging 100+ women on the regular (which Chinese authors like to write about for some reason). I have no problem with Romance, although I do feel Webnovel authors aren't really cut out to write about it.... more>>

Some other things I'll exclude are ultra-nationalism (china numba 1!), Novels without Harems but the MC still plays around with/f*cks a lot of women

There's no real restrictions on whether it's serious or comedy, although comedy generally has more permavirg*n!MCs  <<less

Roughly sorted from best to weaker Novels (in my opinion). I also try to add descriptions to every Novel I can, if I can think of something to say that isn't already in the synopsis, they might contain minor spoilers though.

I'd like to add two more Novels here that I am reading but aren't listed here because they are Original Works from "Webnovel . com": "World Domination System" and "The Mech Touch". Both are pretty decent and are worth a look. <<less

isekai in any form (reincarnation etc.),  game elements, overpowered protagonist, country building and management, army building, modern knowledge in fantasy world and technological gap, crafting .

MC is pretty much always in control, always has a plan and always ends up on top. Or just has plot armor.

I don't exclude harems (even bad ones), if novel is good by itself. 

No yaoi. No pure wuxia or xianxia.

I don't include novels that are too short (less than 20-100 chapters depending on chapter length).

Some of novels may not be available on NU or be incomplete, but they are somewhere in web.

Novels are mainly Korean or Japanese. There are some Chinese novels included but they are either heavily west-influenced or not cultivation oriented. Basically, they are not Chinese-heavy if You know what I mean. The World Online is the only exception, as I simply skipped most of boring chapters.

Novels are kind of sorted best to "worst", though last novels on list my be unsorted at all. <<less

Every time I visit the front page of NU and I see a long title for a JP WN, I know its story and characters are going to be shallow and a waste of my time . I've been sick of the infinite number of the "fantasy RPG" Japanese WNs out there and Chinese WNs that drag on for thousands of chapters. Korean novels tend to be better in that respect by having a unique story and being easy to read without seeing half the chapter used up to describe insignificant details. ... more>>

Yeah there's still some isekai novels here but at least it's going to have good progression and character growth. <<less
