Been hurting all my life with no one to comfort me so reading a hurt/sickly MC being worried/doted/cared for/loved on really soothes my soul or something twisted like that. I'm trying to find meaning behind all the suffering. Hmnn yeah that sounds about right, I wanna read meaningful suffering.

SSSSE (Self Sacrifice= sacrificing themselves for others/a greater good) (Self Suffering= is hurting/carrying burden/enduring hardship on their own) (Exposed= other people find out leading in increased positive action/attention towards them and or it affects other people in some way so there is meaning to the suffering)

Absolutely love the vomiting blood and everybody worries trope. MC in pain? It's okay baby it's all worth it there will be people that will take care of you or make up for it. Fluff stuff. Spurting blood is fun and all but psychological hurt also rubs me right, stuff like taking blame then the other party regretting and making up for it? Angst stuff. Mmm working too hard or getting hurt in place of others is also nice.

Romance. No romance. Straight. BL. Some I read using mtl.

These are all just gems and must-reads you have to know- there’s angst (hardcore and softcore along with stuff that made me ugly sob with hiccups), there’s downright fluff(some of them literally bleed fluff), there’s some that I read just for the plot( YES PLOT IS A TANGIBLE THING IN MOST OF THESE) and some that are just orgasmically dopamine filled. Disclaimer- like 4-5 of these are pretty hardcore so if you’re uncomfortable with yandere, dubcon, kinda~in*est, bd*m (READ THE TAGS ALWAYS) etc Just take it with a grain of salt but like it’s only a few out of this huge list. I hope you enjoy! <<less

It wasn't until I knew about Danmeis that my whole world changed; danmeis might only be texts for us to read, countless words mashed together but it creates new worlds for us to explore. You can see hundreds of new things, discover a lot of things, and have hundreds of emotions as you read. 

New danmei readers or even old ones, there's a lot of underrated novels to read over here.

Quality kind of guaranteed, negative points can still be acceptable (actually, no but yes but you can handle it). Sad endings not included. But some of the extremely long ones tend to get repetitive and a tad bit boring by the end. The 2nd to 24th book follows the pattern bl-bg-ml and each set has at least one lighthearted read so I don't get sick of reading.
