Quality BL romance stories with some dramatic plots involved (not action or adventure oriented, those titles I saved in the Action BL rec list I made). Be prepared with Kleenex! (╥﹏╥) 

Some of these I read several times because even though I don't like tragic plots, sometimes I like a story with heartbreak... I removed the action and adventure titles and put them in my Action BL rec list instead.

Modern settings only. Includes shounen ai, yaoi, and BL with smut. Too many titles to sort in order of personal preference, so I sorted them alphabetically.

I tried my best to leave some trigger warnings on this list where I think some readers might find objectionable content (there seems to be more of that in dramatic and action oriented novels). I hope that people can take the genres labeled Adult and Mature as well as tags like R*pe, R*pist Becomes Lover, S*xual Abuse etc seriously. I think it's always a good idea for people to check tags and reviews of a novel before starting out, otherwise you can end up wasting time because halfway through (or even further on), you read something that is upsetting and then drop the novel. That's a habit I picked up after reading a ton of manga and webtoons. It's also very useful with novels! If you want to do that with Western novels, I would check out the website/app Goodreads (which also has Asian web novels, mangas and more listed there along with reader tags and reviews).
