I didn’t like it as much as I previously had. I read the first 3 arcs and dropped it (previously I’d read 2 arcs), I might pick it up again but idk, I guess my taste has changed? This novel is interesting I guess but the MC is too annoying. Like, there’s a constant fat shaming and face spot shaming. (I am obviously summarizing it but that’s pretty much what happened) Uhhhhhh, what? Like, yeah they aren’t being kind but… just buy the furniture and go, no need to scold people for looking at you and insist on being called beauty and mol*sting other men? Maybe she’s not fully at fault, she’s the one being insulted but she looks down on her body too - after all she transmigrated into it, and she adds fuel into it, she’s the one ogling men and talking with no filter. One of her husbands seems nice tho, I don’t know which of the characters I dislike more tho. But well, it’s interesting I guess? I don’t really like the MC tho, she’s also so loud, this is obviously a novel, I cannot hear her, but I still think she’s too loud and should talk and cry less. This is the type of novel I find the most satisfying, I love face slapping + leaving snobby wealthy families novels. I am MTLing this rn and I think I will probably finish it this way. However, I have to say that I find it a tad bit confusing, the translation… well it has improved but some things are missing, for example in c8 I think? There was a play on her name which didn’t get translated and later on she uses that as a nickname and by then the translator explained the meaning, but some readers might not understand where that came from. Besides that I am very much confused with the characters lmao, I was also confused with the story at first because the writing style is a bit confusing to me plus we had no context, like she had just transmigrated but we didn’t even know her background. I am finally grasping it but the names still confuse me so much lol, maybe it’s because of the MTL but they refer to the same character in different ways and idk if it’s someone else from that family or another character. This one is my fault but I confused a teacher with one of her classmates for a while lol, I thought they were the same person and I was confused, they both were Lu *xi* and in my defense they refer to some characters in multiple ways, even the MC gets called Bai Lian and Bai Po (on the MTL lol) plus her nickname, and I’ve also seen Bai Zian and Bai Xian, that’s the MTL’s fault tho I think, her name is just 白蔹. And new characters pop up without introduction, they just straight up go for the name, maybe a few lines later the character will call them auntie or something to show who they are but for a moment I’m like who is this? Even if the MTL tires me out I hope to finish this even if I have to wait for the translation to be over, unless something pisses me off I think I will read it all. 

 But yeah, it is very satisfying, the MC has many talents and connections and it’s satisfying seeing people that looked down on her find out about that. Plus it’s also fun how she helps her friends do the same. She herself is not trying to brag, she does not talk so people find out eventually and it is satisfying, she’s so lowkey people underestimate her. She mostly shows her talents when she wants to help others or is forced to. It’s not a masterpiece but it’s a satisfying fun read. A lot of things are going on though so from one side you won’t get bored but it can also get confusing lol. Oh the only thing is that the main characters seem to really hate Japan, I guess in her defense she literally comes from the past and they were her enemies, like she fought against them. Idk if the translator hid it or if it wasn’t clear in the beginning, it was only with the MTL that I realized the country the ML didn’t want to work with in the beginning was Japan. 

Oh another thing is that some people like her too easily and idek why, maybe it’s my lack of understanding of the novel tho <<less

Lmaooo, I’m reading this rn and SPOILER ALERT maybe?  Not really but I’d never been so surprised by a time skip, I just started it... more>> (c75 but these are super short) and suddenly they time skipped it, good because she has 8 years of college and I didn’t want to see her freshman life that much especially since she doesn’t even have female classmates and her classmates aren’t like her besties, but she just started studying and they skipped +3 (almost 4) years just like that. It caught me off guard, she’d been at school for weeks just a few sentences ago, this isn’t that important but the time skip made me laugh by how sudden it was . This isn’t really a review but yeah, wow. Anyway, this seems like an interesting read. Very medical, idk if it’s accurate tho, probably not a lot but idk lol, it’s enough for me and for most, it’s fantastical but she’s got supernatural abilities so it somewhat makes sense, it’s entertaining.  Unfortunately, the people are quite sexist and the men get to acknowledge the MC but in a she’s not like other girls way. I also don’t totally understand what is going on, it’s well written but I’m just like ? Like when people praise the MC for her humor when what she said imo isn’t even funny (and this happens multiple times btw, maybe it’s funny to healthcare workers idk), or idk they make comments about what is happening but I don’t feel that the comments make sense. <<less

I’ve been reading this out of boredom, I read it while traveling because I didn’t want to spend data or effort really finding something else.... more>> It’s amusing enough, the MC is more ruthless than other survival novel MCs, maybe it’s because of what she went through before. Like it’s the sort of ruthlessness you might find in some martial arts novels I guess? Like cutting people’s arms or leading them to their death because they insulted her or tried to get into her apartment. So far there isn’t much companionship and I prefer novels with that, well as the name says this is pretty much about her trying to survive. But idk I’m bored already. Also she so conveniently happens to have inherited millions from her dead adoptive parents and have no relatives or friends, she’s a bit of a medical genius too, she’s a returnee and she happens to get a space… but well she’s not that OP, she still struggles and even with a space she often goes to gather supplies (even tho she has a lot of stuff but to stay lowkey I guess), it’s more or an auxiliary thing I guess.  <<less

Edit: wtf was this ending, tbh since like c105 or around there I started getting bored and I stopped reading this for some months, I finally decided to finish it and I did… it was disappointing, I had really enjoyed the first two thirds, it had so much potential, and it wasn’t just the ending that disappointed me, I honestly just pushed through the last third to see how it’d end but I wasn’t hoping for much anymore, plus there’s some weird propaganda sprinkled in too, I’m fine with a bit of propaganda, at first I was agreeing, but then it felt too deliberate, the bad foreigners were like part of the plot lol. I’m still reading it and there’s a fair amount of plot holes, idk if some will be fixed, but any way, it’s cute, the thing is that the dynamic is a bit weird, I don’t even know how to feel about it. The FL can go back in time to heal the ML and avoid traumatic events making him start liking her even when he’s too young, the FL does not do indecent things with him (actually she kinda does like kissing his ear, giiirl, he’s a minor, but she draws the line at kissing lips lol) and she’s not really trying to groom him but the stuff she says… it gives g*ooming vibes and if you switched their genders it’d be weirder, I mean for example this is something she says to him “Ning Zhi said to him half seriously and half wooing him, “You are still young. If you still like me when you get older, we can be together.” or actually she also would appear and tell others she’s his gf, go on a date with him, etc. and the her going back is her adult self btw… the thing is that so far this novel does not make that much sense in the whole time traveling thing so I don’t even know how to feel about this. I just wish she wouldn’t say or do ambiguous things like that when she goes back in time, tease his adult self not his minor self. Tbh I’m getting tired of all that going back in time and their ambiguity. The lookism is another issue, and it really has a lot of plot holes or the author skips over details previously mentioned and if remembered they just briefly bring it up again but it’s inconsistent with what had happened before. The author has the full translation for sale and its pretty cheap, I bought it not too long after they put it up for sale but after a couple of months I am finally finishing it. I love it so much, a few days after buying it I took a break from novels but a few days ago the power went out and my only form of entertainment was this epub, since then I’ve been reading it after work and it’s been some fun days. So far I’ve only read the first arc and it was really sweet and cute, there’s a top review saying the ML sucks and s*xually ab*ses her, idk bc I haven’t read those, but the first arc was a fun read, they were pretty cute. Edit: I’ve finished the 2nd arc now too, it’s cute too… I don’t really feel any displeasure towards the ML yet.

 I’ve also read the 3rd arc, yeah the ML is more overbearing and less pleasant than the other two but the MC doesn’t really dislike it, he’s more of a Yandere tho so beware. I will quote it “Even with tears in her eyes and her mouth said she didn’t want it, as soon as she saw his uneasy reddened eyes, she would walk over and hug him.” So, idk, I wouldn’t  get entangled with someone like him but if MC is fine with their dynamic then idc. I came to this novel because I wanted to read something with a possessive ML, I often feel disgusted by them and I used to block that tag lol, but for some reason I wanted to read something with a kind of blackened ML, so this does the job. 

And after reading the 4th arc I still like it, I think the 4th arc was kinda cute too, and… unique (beauty and the beast but she’s the beast, there’s another twist too but I won’t spoil it). I liked it more than the 2nd and 3rd arcs.

Also, There’s no mature tag in this novel but maybe it wouldn’t hurt? Although it’s not that kind of work… well, I still think it’s not suitable for younger girls.  <<less
