This is THE ONE, the novel I liked enough to create an account to rate. (Currently finished ch22 as of this review)

Sick of flat characters? Confusing settings?? Too many shirts??? This may be the novel for you ;)

Jokes aside my expectations were fairly low when I began this but I have been pleasantly surprised so far. I really like strong female leads doing survivory things I guess, with my other favorite novels in this vein being Doomsday Ecstasy Cave (nsfw, lol) and I'm Stuck on a Remote Island... more>> with the Male Leads. This doesn't have enough chapters to fully stand up to the epicness of the aforementioned titles but it is pretty rare for me to find something in this vein that feels worth the read, and I will Definitely be along for the ride on this one.

I really like winnowing the chaff by looking at reviews before I dive into a novel. So I felt like I needed to post my enjoyment of this one for anyone else like me who doesn't want to jump into a novel without a heads-up :)

I love the story so much. Its realistic and unlike the other manhua's where they have super strength or a system to help assist w knowledge abt the new world. I love the growth of the characters and how they fall deeply in love w each other. Girl is definitely the one doing the most in character development. Cant wait to read more!

A short story in which MC transmigrates into pre-historic era. There's no supernatural element like beastman. It is a pure pre-historic earth era.

MC is not OP at all. She just knows more survival things than most due to her profession. In fact, the events happening in the story is really life like. No sudden power in times of peril, no abnormal abilities, no instant language translating abilities, etc. It is very unique imo.

I started reading this novel with little expectation, but I was pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed it.

It is a short novel, but it was well thought out, with added emotions, and well executed. I can't say whether there are plot holes because we, as 21st-century people, have little knowledge of life from 10, 000 years ago. So, with that being said, I think the author did a great job with their imagination.

Also, I admire the MC. She did not become a weeping willow and made the best of her situation... more>> with the little knowledge she had. The ML is someone from prehistoric times with prehistoric thoughts, actions, and beliefs, but he is willing to listen and learn from his partner. He is a great partner and father who gave up a lot for her, and the MC is fortunate to have fallen into his hands instead of someone else's.

I highly recommend this novel. <<less

This is a pretty good story, it's about a modern girl that gets transported to an ancient time with absolutely no cheats. It's refreshing to read a story about someone who does not have any special powers. She makes mistakes but it's realistic - imagine you go to a place where you can't communicate and are not strong as others. The only lucky thing she has was she encountered ML, which is stubborn but kind.

FL is s*upid because what wilderness is not discovered by the world for new species. And when she is struck by lightning have many people near her to rescue her. Even to chapter 30 she is thinking it's 21's modern day. So you can think how s*upid she is, and I will not say other s*upid things.

One word. Amazing.

The story is so great! The characters are realistics and you get immersed from the beginning to the end. I've read some stories in prehistoric setting and it's the best one so far. Every character shows growth and development.

I finished it in one streck. I don't see even one bad thing I could say because there isn't. Author doesn't go to a tragic development and it's good. And the best is that the natives really act like prehistoric people : different values, language difficulty,...

The relationship between the MC... more>> is cute and mostly in the gestures and non-verbal communication. It's relaxing and fullfilling.

I really liked when she fears having influenced Yiga and history too much. In a way she feel responsible that by bringing progress, she also brought the flame of war and the destruction of homes. It's not her fault because appart from leaving far away without any contact with the outside world, there is no way she could avoid influencing other's every day life and fueling greed and ambition.

I've read other novels where MC doesn't care to integrate new weapon (like guns) and I always felt unconfortable because even through humanity will develop in this area, is it really great to rush it ?

Overall, I loved the story. The relation between MC and ML was so cute, fluffy, adorable. They got off to a rocky start, it took about 30 chapters or so, for them to get to a better relationship. In the beginning, their relationship started out as almost enemies, then it slowly changed to MC being with ML because he is strong and can protect her. Finally it transitioned to trust in each other, love each other, protect each other.... so very adorable. I'll have to remember to persevere for 30... more>> chapters if I ever re-read this book or skip to 30th chapter if I don't want to deal with the push and pull between the leads. Lack of communication is the biggest flaw in their relationship... and unfortunately it was not even identified let alone resolved thru out the story. MC continues to keep secrets from ML.

I understand that there is a language barrier between the leads in the beginning, but lack of communication on important plot points was very frustrating to me as a reader. Like for example:

    • MC never told ML about their village chief trying to banish her, even till the end she didn't.
    • Village chief's daughter attacking her - also MC never talks to ML about this.
    • MC finds out that YiJia (? forgot his name... the antagonist) was part of the plot against ML to kill him, but MC never tells ML about this and lets him continue on his merry way.

Anyway, coming to the story and plot itself. There are situations I could relate to and then there are things that MC does, that seem extremely dumb. For example:

    • Imagine this - you have a guy with ambition to conquer the world (hi*ler or Genghis khan anyone?) and become the all powerful ruling king... if you were an MC, would you tell this person how to make durable weapons?
    • To me, it is unfathomable how MC could be this dumb? She gives pointers on how to find the metal to make knives to a person who wants to kill everyone against him.
    • On the top of it, this guy even attempted to assaulted her, she KNEW he is not right in the mind, and yet... she tells him how to make better weapons? Is there a more insulting word I can use to describe MC than dumb, s*upid, imbecile?
    • She knew he attempted to kill ML, she not only keeps it from ML, she even tells the guy how to make better weapons...a moment of silence for MC's flat line brain activity. I would honestly like to know what was she thinking?
    • She even has awareness that she triggered this towards the end, but no remorse whatsoever. She only ponders if her being there triggered this human slaughter this guy does.

On a side note.. MC for a tour guide sure knows a lot about everything. She can farm, make liquor, spin thread, make clothes, design houses. Am amazed she didn't design a satellite, rocket and nukes for antagonist. <<less

Overall, it reminded me of another novel called "gentle beast". A modern girl got transmigrated to a world of 10, 000 years ago. A nice read. They do have modern knowledge being brought to the past but not so much terminology/ jargon word being used. I wish the description of modern knowledge being brought to the past is more detailed.
