I’m MTLing it, I am almost done, I thought it was just going to be a vampire themed running with the ball (who is a... more>> reincarnated villain novel) but it really surprised me, not that there is a twist but this novel is so good at making me sob and making me lose sleep due how addictive I found it lol. I really cried so so much in some scenes. And bear in mind I am literally just using my browser translating tool lol, so I imagine a proper translation would be more emotional. Anyway, to me anything that makes me properly sob is great so I think this is a pretty good novel, but I haven’t finished it yet so I am not 100% sure (I think I’m in c94 or around that). Oh also, you can clearly tell there will be a ML when you start it but idk why the description makes no mention of him lol, anyway I like that couple. I don’t generally like CEO MLs but this doesn’t use some of the most tiring tropes of like girls being jealous or whatever.  <<less

I’m starting this (keeping up with the translations) and well I love myself a socially anxious character. Obviously there aren’t enough chapters to say much but I hve 2 observations. 1 is that I’m glad that the space acquisition was wrote in a more detailed realistic(?) way, after reading another space apocalypse novel that is also in this list I realized how those descriptions are necessary bc in the other novel it was somewhat brushed off and described pretty quickly. Here at least they write her thought process, how she discovers it and tests it, etc. nothing new but I appreciate it. Like, she uses the MC’s name a bit too much, almost every other sentence has her name, it makes it look a bit amateurish, for example:

After a full day's work, tired Wen Qian simply boiled some noodles and added lots of side dishes.

Only after eating her fill did Wen Qian remember the stuff she put in her space for experiments.

She discovered the frozen meat she put in was still frozen solid, while the cup of hot water she took out still burnt her hands with its scalding temperature.

Wen Qian realized stuff she put in would remain in their original state so this space could definitely function as a thermal locker.

Wen Qian guessed time should be static inside the space. So she tried to put in a small pot of mint she bought, but it wouldn't go in.

"Living things can't enter?" Wen Qian put down the mint, snapped a small stem and found she could put it inside.

So indeed, living things were not allowed.

Wen Qian also wrapped her leftover food in cling wrap and put it inside to observe it after some time.

Yes it sounds corny and you know from the start it’s going to be an easy going golden finger novel, but if that’s what you want it’s pretty nice. I was looking for a relaxing yet fun novel and this fits my criteria. Actually, the more I read the more ridiculous I think it is lol, in like every aspect it’s just as if the author makes it up as they go (so many historical inaccuracies plus inaccuracies in everything they mention, that’s not how many things mentioned work, but seriously… it’s kind of a historical mess lol, like everything about the foreigner). Plus since the beginning I felt it was weird how she whitewashed her parents that dr*gged her and lead to the OG host to die, and she blamed her (fake) friend for inciting the oriFL on not wanting to marry the ML, and sure she was at fault but she’s like wuwuwu my parents I love them sm and the mom is also like I wronged you in different situations except for drugging her? and like when the MC is pregnant she panics so much over it, understandable but they literally drugged the oriFL to death and they never acknowledged that lol, well obviously they don’t know she died but isn’t it weird how they just shrugged it off and the MC too! Like it’s ok she doesn’t mind but I don’t think the parents drugging her and insisting on the marriage is consistent with the parents shown later. Also, her family is kinda annoying imo, but the MC indulges them so that’s on her too.

Also, it’s kinda weird how she doesn’t want to change history like that by killing the emperor but hasn’t she already brought a lot of change by introducing new things to that era? I’d say the emperor dying 2 years earlier would be less impactful than bringing modern crops to ancient china (and crops that are native to other undiscovered continents like the americas lol).  <<less

I blindly picked it up, then I saw the ratings were pretty bad lol (back then it was 2.x iirc), but up until where I was left it was pretty fine. I'm just gonna add this here now before I forget it because this will probably be my last novel of the year so I guess I won't update this list again, I don't feel like reading anything new and I have a lot to catch up with when I finally want to read more. As for this novel I probably won't be reading it, it seemed decent to kill some time though, if I find myself bored and wanting to read a novel I could pick it up again but idk, it's gonna take a while until I get to this, I'm so behind the other novels I was reading. It seemed promising imo, no masterpiece but pretty entertaining.  <<less
