Ahhhh I love this novel! This was very entertaining and fun! It’s angsty, fluffy, and even hilarious. I love the relationship between Guan Shanjin and Wu Xingzi, even the side characters were memorable. Man Yue and Rancui the ultimate wingmen! At first, I was so angry at Guan Shanjin and was even willing to let him suffer. I was wishing for Xingzi to not give in and make the gong suffer—and the author delivered! I was pleasantly surprised, but also a little sad for Xingzi because of how he developed his personality. I thought that he would fall for Guan Shanjin’s pampering because he’s lonely—the reason why he joined Peng Society—but he didn’t. It even took him time to realize his feelings. 

I love Xingzi’s character and how he did not want something that can’t be entirely his. This could be seen as him being greedy and selfish if one did not read the novel and understand his personality. However, though Xingzi thinks like that when it comes to the person that he’s spending his life with, in other things he’s the most selfless and is extremely indifferent to life’s troubles. I might not be giving him justice though because I’m inadequate. His life can be described as ordinary and simple with a little bit dash of tragedy, but I love how he discovered that the only thing that made him forget about his plan of ending his life in his fortieth are pengornises (penisvs) AHAHAHAHAHHA.

Our gong, Guan Shanjin, courtesy name Haiwang, is extremely entertaining too. He’s overbearing and arrogant, but also intelligent. He could be described as that one person who looks down on everyone because he has seen just what kind of filth humans can have. However, he’s a fool when it comes to love lmao. I hated how he was willing to let himself be used by his first love even when the people around him hated Lu Zezhi. Even I knew that this man was traitorous the moment I read that he has left Guan Shanjin hanging for twenty years. Who can be that blind about a person’s feelings when they’re pampering you so much?

Anyway, I’m glad that Guan Shanjin found a person that would pamper him back and even gave satisfying retributions. I’m in love with both the main characters.

Regarding to the papapa scenes... it was... scary. My mind imagined the scenes that was described and I was left questioning the human body’s extent. Maybe I’m just exaggerating—who knows. I still liked them though LMAO. 10/10 It’s only a novel anyway! I wanna have fun!

They’re both smart and I really love their interactions hahahah. I also love their fans in the novel—they’re hilarious lmao.

In terms of plot and word building, I think it’s passable since there are several world shown. The author completely focused on the progress of the main characters. Some might wonder of the transmigrations’ point, but it is explained in the end why the quick transmigration even suddenly happened to our lovely Bai Lianhua.

Overall, my favorite world here is the ninth! It’s so fluffly and I really liked the dragon hahahaha. I can see myself rereading this, but I know that I won’t be doing that soon. Maybe when I feel really nostalgic... <<less

At first, I was just amused by his personality and antics. Because of him, I also started calling Tang Mo, Tang Tang. Then I began to feel annoyed with him—he’s like a fly that follows you and you can’t kill it. But I didn’t hate him and even started liking him. Our main protagonist, Bai Lang, can not be called very intelligent, but he’s open-minded and matured. I was only on the first few chapters when he made me cry, I wanted to hug him so bad. After his rebirth, he did not focus on revenge. Rather, he became focused on himself, finally acknowledging his faults and how to live his life better, treasuring himself.

If the people around him provoked him, he would still retaliate, of course. That’s only a given or I would want to get revenge for him myself ahahahaha. Although Bai Lang’s relationship with Qiu Qian started out of him being grateful to the latter, I was still satisfied with the progress. Their relationship could not be called perfect, but they’re obviously happy and they really care for each other. More importantly, they had great communication!! I completely supported their relationship, when Qiu Qian proved that he had no hesitation towards Bai Lang. We could even say that rather than Bai Lang getting ensnared by Qiu Qian, Qiu Qian was the one who completely fell head over heels towards Bai Lang. Can I mention that he’s also a good father? 

Also, I can kinda see myself accepting Qiu Qian’s “pe*verted” hobby if I was in the entertainment industry—or any industry for that matter. I would also like to be protected hahahah. I’m not worried about my significant other hearing me criticizing them because I would also do it in their face XD. First of all, I would only do this when I know that they are open-minded and not a little pleb full of ego.

Anyway, my favorite character was Qiu Xiaohai!!! I love this kid! He’s the most adorable!! If I’m gonna have a child like him, I might retract my words of not wanting to have kids lol. Also, also!! Qiu Xiaohai and Rong Zan!! These two are like little Lan Zhan and Wei Ying from MDZS!! Except, when Qiu Xiaohai grew up, he was not as dense as our whole circus Wei Wuxian lmao. I love that the author actually wrote about them in the extras! Little Rong Zan thought that he had completely captured Xiaohai, but it was actually him who the latter would not let go.

Just in the end, it got too sweet for me and I cringed pretty much through the last chapters. This is one those novels that my 16-year-old self would love. Now that I’m older, I have to admit that I did not enjoyed this book as much.

Not too complex when it comes to the plot, and I actually had a laugh from reading the reactions of Ye Zexi’s and He Jinyun’s fans. If only the world really had a lot less homophobic people.

One more thing that I liked about this novel is that, the originally supposed to be “protagonist”, Tang Jing, was not a villain at all. He was a lot nicer than I expected. <<less

I love the progression between the couple. They both perfectly display a young couple who are ready to be each other’s ride or die, but with a dash of an old couple who understands each other. They’re both matured in a sense, but their youthfulness still shows. In short, they’re not perfect, but they’re better than most couples out there. Some readers might find it ridiculous that Gu Feidi and Su Yang are surrendering each of their lives to one another without a real deep reasoning, but just like Su Yang’s thoughts, we really did grew up in a rather peaceful time.

The way they try to communicate with each other as much as possible when they got together! The Gu Feidi is just a walking green flag! Both of them are so precious!!

Also I love all the pairings in this novel! So much fun and drama! <<less

Thank God, they got their retributions! I say it’s well deserved! This novel has a cliche trope, but it was one of the good reads for me. The explanations are good, as well as the detail. The twist got me good since this is the first novel I have read where the case was like that. 

I also really love Mu Tian Heng! He is not a unique gong, but he is most certainly respectful and understanding! That’s quite a rare trait among love interests. I love reading about his internal struggles of a ‘beast’ because of his age gap with Mo Di. Though there’s a build up of how his feelings for Mo Di got stronger, I believe that it was fate that made him really fall. After all, that world was their own. 

The extras are just beautiful! And the double rebirth?? *chef’s kiss*! With that said, I might consider rereading this. Not because it was bad, but because it was frustrating and that hateful family is just so despicable! It was worth it because of the retributions, but it’s bad for my heart lmao. <<less

If I had a fish like Li Yu, I would also treasure it just as Mu TianChi did. But imagining the two of them, fish and his master, trolling other people, it was totally amusing. The retributions are also good!

If I had one complain, it would be that Li Yu is somehow simultaneously dense and smart. The inconsistency made me frustrated at times lmao. There were many conspiracies that he figured out, but he it took him so long to know that TianChi already knows his identity. In the end, I still get his worries and he might have just ignored the signs because he was scared.

Anyway, I felt pity for the original shou’s ending. Pity because he was manipulated from the start, major factor of how he ended up like that. But judging on his arrogant and self-centered thinking, he was bound to have conflicts. If his intelligence could be a backing to his mindset, I would not have mind. But he unwittingly kept courting troubles. You would have guessed that he’s learned his lesson in the Jing Estate, but no, his ambitions still muddled his head at the imperal palace. If he was smart, he would have thought of a lot of things. I’m a reader, that’s why I know things in the novel, but I would have still not ignored signs even if I was a character.

Welp, maybe that’s just how the author really wrote him. He’s bound to be s*upid and do s*upid things.

Nonetheless, the villains all have questionable IQs. But I guess it was written like that since the plot was not on the heavy side. Maybe I was expecting it to be realistic even though there’s a fish who can be human in this novel lmao.

My favorite part of this is when Li Yu and TianChi gets the chance to go to the modern world! That was such a fun read! <<less

What attracted me to this novel was the God gong x (not gonna spoil you) shou; I dare say it did not disappoint. Well, the romance part is more like a sub-plot, but this was still a remarkable novel that managed to keep me interested. I honestly haven't heard of any lovecraft stuff before this so I can't judge the accuracy, but it did intrigued me a lot more than I was expecting. They're a lot more profound than other Gods that I know. More omniscient and omnipotent; a loooooot less like humans. Really, they're probably how powerful beings should act when in front of insignificant beings like humans.

I was actually worried how a God could love the MC since he's a human. But it did work. Though the shou's identity helped a lot hahahahah.
