In my opinion, the FL kinda selfish. I get it she's clueless, have a big dream, and don't want to ruin the ML future by telling her illness. Why wouldn't she just tell about her illness instead of not saying goodbye at all? But does she ever considered his feeling? Does she think that as childhood friend, as an artist-manager relationship, and all of the confession, he would be making it through?

Truly selfish.

Even as she reincarnated again, and seeing the state he was in, like being depressed and all, she... more>> still choose to keep it silent. Does she think it would make him happy? Does she think it's the best for him? Nonsense. Why wouldn't she tried to communicate with him instead wasting time? Couldn't she confess?

So I think the FL is truly just thinking about herself even though in her mind she's doing it so that his future wouldn't disturbed, but until the end of first life, isn't she just thinking about her own dream to make him a big star? Not ML's feeling.

Good for them finally communicating at the end, bittersweet ending. <<less

The onion cutting is strong in this one. Again, this one of those novels that Crimson Translations picks up that makes me wish they were longer, but then I realize it may not be as impactful as how it's currently narrated. So many feels and the leads are such lovely characters that it really just makes you want to root for them. Solid 5 stars.

I didn't expect the ending. Yes it was short, but I felt as if bating my eyelashes once led me to 'The End'. I love the both of them, Lu Ren and Jing Han. Thank you for the translator, would never knew of this work had you not come around.

Cried so hard that had difficulty breathing while reading this.... The flashbacks really highlight how ML and MC faced all the years of hardship together and they were together through thick and thin... It just hurts my heart and soul reading this... If only MC was disease free... If only... The last chapter just wrecked my soul... I will just live in delusion thinking that MC waits for ML in the afterlife and together they reincarnate and live their next life happily till they grow old together...

Lastly want to thank... more>> the author and translator for this wonderful work.... <<less

The story is really good although it’s a little bit confusing as we don’t know if it’s a flash back or the present.

Yet, I like the fact that the ending is different from the usual HE and I think it’s the best and the most realistic ending possible.

Spoiler

It’s funny to think that the MC was in love with the ML and was sad she never confess while for the ML they were already lovers and soon to be husband and wife.

This was really heart-wrenching. It's a good short read although the flashbacks can get a little disorienting at first. It's so sad how they went through all that hardship but she couldn't see him standing on the stage for their most awaited moment. I wish there was an extra where they reincarnated and were able to go to the end together 😭😭😭
