The books have virg*n ml and MC which is either directly mentioned through narration or through  character delivery or is vaguely mentioned from other party perspective . No dogblood drama maybe a few of the books might have little angst but rest assured they are eachother's first love.  No past relationships with boys/girls. The books are not ranked , i have verified all the above standards strictly. Especially the first love tag ^^ <<less

I'm pretty selective when it comes to picking novels. I need either a compelling summary or some solid reviews and ratings to catch my interest. But even then, sometimes that's not enough. Right now, I'm all about modern settings. It's my go-to genre, though I'm open to exploring different genres within that backdrop. Slice of Life is my absolute favorite, so you'll probably see more recommendations in that vein.

I have read many bl novels some of them i liked and some i didnt and some i dropped mid way even though they have good ratings and reviews. Im very picky about what i read only novels with unique characters , special storylines with characters who have depth and are remembarable and people who atleast know consent and personal space , respecting boundaries with no red flags , no dub con , no r*pe , no yandere only can sastisfy me.... more>>

Some of these I read several times because even though I don't like tragic plots, sometimes I like a story with heartbreak... I removed the action and adventure titles and put them in my Action BL rec list instead.

Modern settings only. Includes shounen ai, yaoi, and BL with smut. Too many titles to sort in order of personal preference, so I sorted them alphabetically.

I tried my best to leave some trigger warnings on this list where I think some readers might find objectionable content (there seems to be more of that in dramatic and action oriented novels). I hope that people can take the genres labeled Adult and Mature as well as tags like R*pe, R*pist Becomes Lover, S*xual Abuse etc seriously. I think it's always a good idea for people to check tags and reviews of a novel before starting out, otherwise you can end up wasting time because halfway through (or even further on), you read something that is upsetting and then drop the novel. That's a habit I picked up after reading a ton of manga and webtoons. It's also very useful with novels! If you want to do that with Western novels, I would check out the website/app Goodreads (which also has Asian web novels, mangas and more listed there along with reader tags and reviews). <<less

I'm tired of the double standards, third parties, unnecessary drama, scumbags etc. This list features extremely devoted couple! 1v1 HE. Totally safe to read. 

Gong (Seme) and Shou(Uke) are each others first & only s*xual partner; first & only love. (Either it's explicitly mentioned, mentioned by the author, mentioned between the lines, or assumed in some cases if no other partners/ prior experience is mentioned). No exes, cinnabar moles, substitutes etc. 

No other partners in case of a seperation or breakup. No getting r*ped/ assaulted/ kissed/ mol*sted by passerbys or supporting leads. No love triangles or leading others on. 

If there's a harem it should be dismissed by the end. If either Gong or Shou are actors, then they should be the type that doesn't do intimate scenes. No kids involving other women (surrogacy). No marriage of convenience with other woman. 

P.S I only have requirements for the main cp.
