For the most part, everything is set up well. MC and ML are interesting characters with a backbone that grow progressively throughout the novel. Main CP romance is built up nicely. Side characters are fun, too, as are the side CPs. Unfortunately, the final two arcs of the novel fail to fulfill all the expectations set during the first two. 

Reading through this I couldn't help but feel that everything escalated way too quickly. While there is a bit of foreshadowing in the arcs prior, they aren't enough to justify how suddenly everything's revealed later on. It's a good enough novel for its genre -- not a bad read, but not the best either. Translation is A+. <<less

This is another novel I wish I could have enjoyed. Paused this part-way through (Ch 81) because reading it felt too much like a chore. Another gaming novel; I am weak. Was on the fence about reading this mainly because of the kinks involved, but the author handles these quite well. Both MC and ML are the final villains of an American novel series. In the midst of superpower awakenings and numerous transmigrators, they (along with the rest of their world) suddenly realize that the world they're living in is actually a novel. Everything else follows. 

It's a lot less comedic than the summary makes it out to be. The premise is interesting -- a nice twist to the typical transmigration trope tbh -- and both MC and ML are evenly matched. However, I don't think the edited MTL does justice to any of this. This isn't to discount the translator; trying to make sense of the garbage spit out by GoogleTranslate & friends is still a feat in itself. This is just one of those novels that isn’t as readable on MTL as others. (I fried my brain a few nights just from reading this.) It's a novel that I'm still very much interested in reading, just not as it is now. <<less

Unlike SVSSS, (spoiler alert) the main CP gets together very early on. While I'm not against this, it did factor a lot into my enjoyment of the rest of the cnovel. With an early endgame CP, it's much harder for the author to keep readers interested. True enough, what happened after was (imo) sorely lacking. The succeeding arcs read more like fillers and plot holes remain unfilled until the very end. While it does have a semi-interesting side cast, all they are ever really there for is the comedy. Oh, and the ML's default setting is h**ny. 

Still, there's quite a lot of fluff and almost no knives, so if you're up for a lighthearted romance with just a dash of xianxia, perhaps it's one you might enjoy. <<less

Novel is centered on the main CP and their individual backstories, with a cast of not-too-standout side characters that keeps egging them on. The entire school is privy to their relationship too, which makes for a lot of laughs. This has one of the more genuine relationship developments I've read thus far. The main CP attempts to rediscover their relationship amidst a background of conflicts you'd find in a typical entertainment circle novel. Conflicts resolve quite quickly, complete with face slapping -- thankfully not too overdone. Main CP dynamic is great; both balance each other out well, and the ML is not too overbearing. Author notes/small theaters at the end of most chapters are hilarious. The conflict/fluff cycle gets a bit repetitive though. 

While the novel is an interesting take on this overused trope, I found myself wanting more introspection and conversation between our main characters; I wanted there to be more to our ML's amnesia than just the ends of this story sandwich. (Read: Weirdly enough, I wanted more CP drama.) It's still a good enough novel for what it is. Would recommend to those looking for a stress-free read. <<less
