I think I got diabetes reading this...

this was so freaking wholesome and cute I even teared up after realizing I finished it. Its such a perfect mix of irl and in game which I found lacking in waiting for you online in the second part of it. I loved every moment of it and there was never a moment where my smile was off my face.

highly recommend if you want to read some fluff.

A fantastic, lighthearted, BL entertainment read about gamer livestreamers! (Yes they are ALL named after various fruits and veges...) The balance between the gaming parts and the RL parts are fantastic. Absolutely hilarious MC is known for his arrogant/sarcastic one-liners that he sends off after every match with other players. One such match ends up with him exploding in popularity because it was streamed live by the ML, an official channel streamer.

Absolutely EVERYONE is precious in this story; you don't get... more>> any angst or negative drama, just tons of supportive fluff (including the coming-out to the family!).

I literally could not stop laughing when the MC started rapping about mining and his roommate crashed his stream with accompanying dance...

Highly recommend, great translation as well! (There's a lot of footnotes, but there's a lot of gaming/online jargon to parse, so kudos for that.) <<less

oh. My. God.

what the actual heck. This is literally the cutest thing to exist on this planet. And while there is drama, it's so f*cking hilarious. Also, everyone is SUPER supportive: the school peers, the fans, the mother-in-laws. Everyone is so friendly, even the rivals and it's just so perfect

SO. MUCH. FLUFF. I really needed this after binge reading The Antelope and The Night Wolf. MC is actually SO MENG. MENGMENG I WILL BE YOUR MOTHER POWDER. ML is also just so good. He’s absolutely perfect boyfriend material. It’s great because the romance is so laid back and sweet. No drama, no yandere ML, no dark pasts—although I do like them, this is like a breath of fresh air. It’s defintely good for when you’re feeling down.

Plot: basically just like their daily lives as streamers. Think Twitch streamers lol.... more>> MC’s live streams seem like something I’d watch haha. I love streamers or youtubers that do random stuff. It’s always funny and fresh.

My favourite part is the fans. They’re so cute and funny !

I will admit that the text is sometimes confusing. I don’t blame the translator though! They’re trying their best. It must be difficult with all the internet and gaming slang. I’m just grateful for the speedy and pretty good Translations. Grammar is fine and I can get the gist of what’s happening based on context and footnotes. Highly recommend! <<less

I swear, you will want to adopt these two bunny muffins by the end of the novel (if not earlier). This novel is so sweet and refreshing!

Charm points:

  • ML is not an overbearing CEO, he's ambitious, determined, sneaky, but certainly not almighty.
  • MC is quite strong in what he does, and discovers a future for himself. He is inspired by ML, but he gets to the top with his power and charm, he isn't dragged up by ML (ML only helps him create a few opportunities)
  • The ML's crush is believable, he didn't just wake up one day and decide 'I'm gonna harass a white lotus from now on'.
  • Even when MC dances on ML's palm, it's all very in line with how university students would behave - no manipulation, no pressure, just dorks being dorks.

this is a newbie *soft voice* hi~ ?

This is a very good novel. The writing is good, everything is good. The MC is funny, the ML acts like a real human being that is handsome and has potential but is only a college student.

Just let me say that this is really the first in my heart (I don't care how well written or good other novels are, nobody can steal away my lemon bby!!!!!! ?!!)

... more>> The chapters are sometimes bite-sized sometimes big-sized but my heart is not unsatisfied at all.

The MC is easy too tease. The ML is very diligent and serious. But the two fit each other very well. Their personalities didn't crash and there were no forced or awkward moments. They just... fit. ??

The process of their falling in love was like how you eat food when your hungry. You don't question why you should eat, you just do bcause if you don't, you'll die (sriously, my heart will die if the ship didn't sail orz)

There wasn't much drama or angst, it was fluffy, lovely, and the problems were resolved like how they should be.

It doesn't propose much society problems but it does wander upon how students turn into workers and the uncertainty of the future.

(idk what the MC planned to be in the future originally when he still didn't know ML but then he decided he would be an anchor in a streaming service after he got dragged in by the p*rn anchor that is our lovely ML)

The MCs lives were three dimensional, and the other characters were three dimensional. I wouldn't be surprised if you told me Lemon Daddy (MC) and Mang God (ML) were real people. (I would just ask for pictures because damn)

All in all:

  • MC: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • ML: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Plot: ⭐⭐⭐ (there was no plot bcause the author was just buying soy sauce)
  • Drama: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (no drama with the romance but the side characters have them)
  • Side Cs: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (back spirit-geeee—)
Although we don't know what happen to the MC in the future or what happen to other side characters in the future (*cough* didi *cough*) but this was a really good novel. It's pure entertainment and it's just crazy how everyone is so peaceful and everything. In terms of fun it's a full ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ staaaarrrssss. <<less

*throws everyone a lemon* Trust me, this lemon is sweet.

A really quick-paced light novel. Its' main purpose is a fluffy story of two boys falling in love. There's absolutely no drama, pure adorableness! Totally shoots to top of cute stories.

Would like to praise author for the pacing and creativity or maybe they're actually a fan of e-sports, but the game process descriptions were short, to the point and quick-paced, almost everything got mixed with reaction from public, which gave a really nice feeling of interaction with fans. Overall it created... more>> a right image of you being and experiencing everything. Second to that would like to thank how fun this novel is. It's hard to keep stoic face, since the sense of humor makes you want to smile.

Now I want to eat something lemon-flavored :'D <<less

A quick read with short chapters but utterly delightful. As someone who love netizen commentary this novel was up my alley, and the story was so sweet it's deliciously cute. There's not much plot wise or drama, just MC becoming a streamer and ML chasing him while giving out dog food. That said, MC's cute and the banter between the two made me giggle throughout the novel. I especially loved how feisty but charming MC is, if he was a real streamer I would have become a fan immediately!

reading wise,... more>> it's an MTL but still manages to be enjoyable. While it might get a little rough and the net slang is all there, the translator throws in a lot of footnotes to help out. It might not be the most true-to-form translation there is, but honestly I rather read a decent MTL than not read the story it at all. <<less

The story was really good and I liked the family relationships. I do wish there were extras for characters like Guava and Yam but the ending was nice.

The one thing I didn't like were the references to Indian dance as a joke. I really hate when CN authors use going on a trip to Africa as a punishment, make out all Americans to be evil people, use redundant descriptions like Filipino maids, and now Indian dance. I can understand national pride, but there's no need to bring down other cultures... more>> to promote themselves. It could've been excused as ignorance before, but with the current resources, mistakes like this shouldn't be made. Indian dance has a lot of history and is linked to religion strongly. They must perform Namaskar before and after completing the dance, which is seeking blessings from the earth. Many dances tell the stories of the Hindu gods, and so proper respect must be shown. There is a difference between appreciating a culture and being racist.

So although most of the story was funny, I found that part very insensitive as it could've been described in other ways without offending another culture. <<less

It’s pretty comedic and I loved the main characters a lot. I also really appreciated the no fuss type of romance with no triangles or third parties. Lol all the shippers online are great along with the internet commenters. It was a little short but it got the job done.

This story is super hilarious and cute. Prolly one of the best "game-themed" BL I've have read. The plot itself is nothing extravagant but no doubt every chapter makes me want to read more. Tbh, I think I was hypnotized by our MC's cuteness ?

Really recommend this for people who wants a break from our usual heavy yaoi plot. Definitely worth the read!

I've just read the 4 chapter teaser, and I find it funny and interesting. From the cover image I thought it's about a cafe industry or something beverage related.. But no, it's actually about online gaming, lol. The MC is a gamer who managed to reach the bottom of the top ranked players but instead of his prowess with his gaming skills, he's famous because of his poisonous tongue. Players are actually happy to be defeated by him just to read his poisonous last words. Then ML, a god-tier player,... more>> came along and defeated our MC in the game. MC thought that since ML is such a famous player, he'd forget he ever existed and sent him a message that is so unlike MC's 'image'. READ IT to find out but I guess you can surmise what it is. Anyway, MC didn't know that ML was actually livestreaming their game and everyone saw MC's message. Long story short, the internet exploded and their lives become virtually connected, lol.

The story is a bit fast-paced for me but maybe because the chapters are just short? IdK, it just feels like a bit rushed. Like, why not give more examples of why his poisonous tongue is famous? Or at least give a scenario that will make me believe that this 'skill' of his is enough to garner that attention. All I got is a small sample and from that I have to trust that it's enough to make him famous and actually have many fans. Oh, well, maybe it's going to be expounded further, as well as who he is outside of the game. It's interesting though, and funny. Something to read and look forward to while waiting for other novels to get updated. I hope the translater continue this. I'll probably update this review after reading the next chapters, but so far, it's worth a try. <<less

If you're looking for a simple, cute and entertaining read, you should prolly pick this one up. There's no major conflict and angst. Nevertheless, it was still a fun and short read. If you're looking for light-hearted sort of thing, this one's for you.

Too sweet good gawd!! Hot gamer guys and fluff. Simple smut which didn’t go all the way, very age appropriate.. Considering.. Hahaha.

The ending was curious. I’m feeling Xiang Jiao was there to steal Lemon away, but it suddenly ends there.

Seme was of course handsome, rich, perfect god, devoted. Sigh. ? Uke cannot bend fast enough LOL.

This is the fastest I have ever read a novel! One day, only, I got so hooked up on the plot and couldn't leave even for a second... I had a test the day after TT my grades...

Anyways, this is the best fluff/comedy novel I've read till now, wow. The couple is so cute together, MengMeng is soo adorable, I love him so much! They have such good chemistry and humor together, congrats to the author.

My heart felt so warm with those two. If you enjoy a fute story (who... more>> doesn't?) this is for you~ You'll keep smilling at your screen without even noticing, surely your mother will end up asking if you are chatting with your crush~

And shout out to the author for the writing style! The people in the streaming room... Oh, gosh, so funny! There's nothing I dislike about this novel, please, read it! <<less

I really really liked how it started, I'm not too into e-sports type of novels but the writing was fun to follow, I loved how both MC and ML interacted. I just don't like this common theme of describing the shou/uke as small, frail, looking "underage". Personal preference maybe, but I can't help cringing. The MC is seemingly short with an "otaku body" yet he can outrun others in long-distance running? MC also sought to become a livestreamer but he's so inconsistent that it becomes a bit laughable. He first... more>> streamed himself playing games.. But he eventually treats it as if it's a life vlog lol. It also left a bad taste on my mouth on how the author inserted, what I assume to be, the second male lead.

MC was defeated by a 'small account' in a game in which the ML later avenged (by setting up another game against this 'small account'). The 'small account' was then defeated but asked the ML if he wanted to "go pro".

If they were so intrigued by the ML's playstyle, why did this 'small account' go to the MC's livestream and become one of his benefactors? LOL. Why didn't he instead go to the ML's own livestream and continue to persuade the ML to go pro? The golden finger effect is crazy on this one.

The novel was written to be fluffy, but I'm yet to be convinced on how the ML fell for the MC. It just seems a bit shallow? And quick?

They played one game in the past, the MC types out a line in the in-game chat that motivated the ML to strive to become a better player (which to me didn't seem any special in its translated form, there are generic tr*sh talk that can leave a deeper impression..)

There are definitely good bits, I love the comedy and I love the side characters. But I can't find the motivation to read further when I feel that at this point, it's a pretty good time to finish reading. There hasn't been anything that made me want to read further. <<less

Listen to me, I have read countless novels on this site and nothing will compare to the perfection of this story. I’m a gamer so the gaming aspects were hilarious. I am a romantic, and the romance was a perfect slow build that made you smile when it blossomed.... AND!!! The outside perspective of their relationship was basically us as fans getting a say so we could all scream at how happy they are.

This is a 20/10. Perfect in every way and the story I compare all others too.

Edit: I was so excited, forgot the stars:☆☆☆☆☆!!!

Awe, I am reluctant to part with such a wholesome, fluffy and light-hearted novel ah~ This author writes a dog blood-lacking novel very well! I really am happy to have found this, and to say that it was from the author who wrote The Antelope and the Nightwolf-- a novel full of angst and subplots (which I wasn't a fan of), this novel was free of it, and instead offers to sell meng, sell laughs and sell single dog ab*se ((●≧艸≦) Our... more>> characters Mengmeng, the meng Lemon and Shan Zhu, the caring Mangosteen both play games very well, anchor streams very well, and give such sudden heart-warming thoughts towards each other very well~

I absolutely love the ML's character-- being slightly black-bellied yet able to describe and express that he has feelings and it is not limited to that slight in his character.

There were times where even though he knows he worked hard to pursue our MC, he can't help but admire him from a distance, as a passer-by who can't get past through people surrounding him. Aye, this is a bit heart-wrenching ah, but at these times I am truly happy that the author is able to give our ML depth~

Meanwhile, this is a favorite line from ML, non-verbatim:

You might not know whether it is love that blinded you, or whether he is the one shining so brightly.

Haha I cannot remember the words, but you get the gist.

Kudos to translator-san for sharing with us such a wonderful novel and for your hard work!! I'd like many more readers to feel happy like I did reading this~ <<less
