I needed to read it twice to actually accept the relationship between MC and ML. They both got their issues but it's not like they don't deserve love in the end. It grew into this kind of relationship kinda by force from one side (ML's side) but I don't think it was just guilt from MC's side that made him stay with the ML. He praised ML's character even long before and I feel like MC accepted the life he lives now. It's a shame there aren't more details about MC's love development towards the ML. Through all of this, I still really feel like they can work it all out and the dynamic of their relationship is original. Personally, I love this novel, there are things that I miss in the story but If you're searching for something short with a little bit of pain but a good end and great humor. This one is amazing.

The main character is so relatable and his behavior can entertain me throughout the whole novel. Later on, I was missing more depth of the other characters but when I read it for the first time, Shen Yuan was able to take my whole focus and some missing backstories for side characters weren't really that much of a problem. He is funny, his actions seem natural and I was able to feel him in every situation. 

About the whole concept, I never read a transmigration novel that would deal with its concept so well as this one. The transmigration actually makes sense and it opens so many possibilities for the whole story. It's a shame that the novel didn't use its whole potential but again, If I judge it as a short story, there wasn't that much space for too many details and I take it as that I went to read this piece because I wanted something a little bit faster with a good plot and great humor. I wasn't disappointed. I enjoyed the story a lot, maybe because it was one of my first ones, it's still deep in my heart and I can highly recommend this piece of work to anyone who wants to start with cultivation novels and have no problem with a little bit of angst.  <<less

The story... more>> is great, the characters are interesting, and I didn't mind the spicy scenes being a bit on a different beat. It's a great story for beginners because there are also plenty of different recreations of this novel in the forms of serial, drama, and even manga so people can actually get familiar with the cultivation world and how it all works, learn terms and stuff through visual examples and get used to the things that can be unfamiliar. People can get background first and then come back and read this masterpiece in its best form. <<less

I'm not an overly emotional type of a person and when I went through comments on this novel that said things like "this was so emotional. At some point made me cry every few chapters. Emotional rollercoaster" I didn't take it that seriously. 

Oh boy, I was wrong.....

Characters made me feel connected to them. The story just dragged me in. I totally fell for the ML. MC's character depth and development were insane. I could say that about the majority of characters actually. This novel is just perfect in my eyes and maybe one thing that I can dote on would be that at some parts the story was a little bit too slow. But details are what I came for. At some point, I was maybe just too eager to know what happens with MC and ML in parts where the author focused more on the all-around story. Overall I can say this was one of the best things I've ever read. <<less

Simple, pretty, healthy. Good for new readers. Can be a bit boring for more expierenced readers.

Nice characters, interesting story but my complaint... surprisingly... it's so long. Some chapters are just literally about making pills or about herbs and it gets... more>> boring. In the end tho, I would still say that 600 out of 700 chapters were interesting so overall it can be considered as a great job <<less

At some parts, it gets a little bit weird in their s*x life but I don't mind reading about shocking or let's say uncommon practices even if one of them is a huge snake. It didn't scare me off but the not really interesting dynamic didn't catch me in either. I finished it but I have no urge of rereading it again.  <<less

I missed SVSSS and was kinda desperate but I didn't want to re-read SVSSS again so I found this. It's perfect for this kind of... more>> situation but after some time I stopped reading and didn't finish till now. It's not that catching by its story. The relationship grows fastly so if someone wants a fast story to just fill up their time, you can try this one. Don't expect something on a level of MXTX novels. <<less

As a gamer and novel bl fan, I can say this was a perfect combination for me. I loved the love story with the years-long gap of their separation with the fact that the ML never really forgot about MC and never gave up. Gaming is part of my daily life so it hits the right spot the theme for me. No unnecessary drama. A refreshing story without pain. The parents of the MC and ML were open-minded and didn't stand in the way of their blooming relationship. It is someone searching for a short bite sweet story of a simple relationship between two game archons, here is the perfect piece for you. <<less

Concept of multiple universes and the whole existencial balance caught my attention. Finished and really enjoyed it but probably wouldn't read again.
