MC is presented as a Gary Stu that tries to pretend he isn't just the korean version of a male chauvanist since every woman in the story can insta-kill him if he says what's really on his mind. The ick factor increases nearly with every chapter since he can't stop ogling women regardless of how "tactful" or "gentlemanly" the author thinks they're presenting it. Also, wtf is up with koreans fetishizing blonde women to such a creepy degree? And why is this super-competent badass that's constantly surrounded by the most beautiful woman in the world always flustered by their beauty?

This is a weird sub-dom fetish comedy trying to tapdance around conservative korean cultural norms while simultaneously being embarrassed by both. There's so many women in this story that they're effectively disposable in battle, yet simultaneously unkillable unless drama needs them to be injured in whatever way.

It's basically just an isekai harem story about a gacha game where an off-screen dude leads a merc band of hot girls, except they removed the isekai gacha from the script and just made it about military bureaucracy and gates, but still kept the girls. <<less

TLDR: Nothing revolutionary, but still not a bad read overall. I would like more chapters.

This series is a take on two tropes: Hunter Management (aka smart but weak protagonist) and regret.

Story background: Hunter grades range from around F to A, with the highest grade shown yet at S. Hunters are only women in this series. Cuz harem. No strong MC for this one. Just smart.

MC is an under-appreciated vice commander for a big guild ran in coop with the government. He is used and ab*sed on a daily basis by... more>> his S-rank guild members (there are 4 of them iirc). One of those s ranks was an extremely violent tsundere btw, who thought near killing him at times was a great way to express affection. Others in the guild appreciate him though. S rank commander of the guild decides to kick MC out of guild, that he only stayed in with all the ab*se cuz he was a govt employee. Her firing him got around his concerns so he happily left.

The story appears that it will follow the pattern of his old guild falling apart without him (has already started at ch 12), and him becoming loved and appreciated at a new guild.

Sole complaint is that there isn't enough chapters yet to get a good binge read out of. I may adjust my rating in the future depending on how the author shows the characters interactions after the "regret" part of the story has passed. <<less

The story pretty much revolves around how the MC's previous guild collapses without the MC, and how the former guild members greatly regret the MC's absence.

The cycle of 'guild further deteriorates as its members wish the MC were present' gets stale pretty quickly.

If that were the only problem with the novel, I would have rated the novel as a 3/5, but a particularly icky part of the story irked and disgusted me.

The MC has a sister, to whom he isn't blood-related and with whom share affections, who was r*ped and imp**gnated by some random guy. Because the sister was no longer 'pure' after being sexually assaulted, she has her younger sister who is still 'pure' fulfil her fantasy of marrying the MC.
