Transmigrating into a Mob Character to Rehabilitate the Villain Plan

In short, this is the tragic tale of a saint-like man who transmigrated into a web novel as a mob character and wanted to rehabilitate the villain, only to realize in the end, he became more and more villainous.

The ludicrous story:

Unable to bear hurting the villain he helped raise, but when it came to compensating with his own body, the unfortunate, straight male reader figured he’d better escape… …

Many years later, the same unfortunate saint rubbed his neck, asking, “This is a dog collar you put on me, isn’t it?”

The handsome villainous boss gave a glance with his elegant, almond-shaped eyes, and then replied with a devious, charming smile, “That’s to prevent you from running away again.”

“If I stay put, will you refrain from destroying the world?”

One of the best BL Chinese novel! I thought True Star and Kill the lights was the last novel that made me stay up all night reading. Then I randomly clicked this~ I'm not a fan of cultivating etc. But this one was interesting and hilarious!

The MC was quite lovable too. He's not stupid or overly complicated, just normal- too Normal I can relate with his rants and remarks all the time! It made me cracking all the time. Anyway if you love BL read this! Also love the translation... more>> ~ please proceed to volume 3! ~ 5 stars! ❤️

Completely in love with this novel. Would recommend it to anyone. All the recommendations were correct on how great this story is

side note, I'm glad to see someone else is picking up this novel. It was upsetting to read the last person decided to drop the translations (with in reason). But still decided to summaries vol 2 but not the last 2 volumes. Leaving everyone on an extreme cliff hanger with no intentions of ever summarizing the last two volumes. It was a hard pill to swallow being left there... more>> with no way of knowing how the story would be finished. But none the less I will re pick up where the new group started in hopes this group will finish the story that has capitvated many. <<less

This is really funny and cute, with a lot of action and adventure, a love story that slowly develops, and a plot that's quite different from your typical transmigration story. This was a novel that made me laugh, cry, and pull all-nighters to finish. I wouldn't be translating it if I didn't like it to this extent.

The humor is what drew me in before anything else, and I've long lost count of how many times I had to pause to laugh because of the MC's reactions or the situations he... more>> ends up in. I won't spoil much here, but this plays on the transmigration trope (among a few others) in a fun and ridiculous parody-like manner, but still ties it back to the plot.

There are both plot-intensive and cute/fluffy arcs. It's mostly action/adventure plus some cultivation in the first half, along with a lot of adorable moments that lay the foundation for the relationships of the main cast. The focus shifts to a romantic one in the latter half, but there's still plenty of humor and action.

I really like the MC. He's humorous and feels very real as a modern person abruptly thrown into a fantasy world: someone with knowledge and skills but isn't OP with insane cheats, and sometimes fails despite giving it his all. While he is fundamentally a very kind person, he recognizes that this new world has it's own rules, and tries his best within those bounds. The love interest can be quite pushy, but my favorite part about him is that he never forces past the MC's bottom line. The times when MC told him to seriously stop, in the end, he stopped. The side characters are also very likeable and have lives and goals outside of their relation to MC, which is something I rarely see but loved a lot. My only lament is that the author didn't give us more details about them.

This is my favorite type of love story, where the build up is gradual, and there are a lot of hints and character development before they finally get together. There's enough drama to keep it exciting, but not to levels of soap-opera extremes. Their love and devotion is 100% mutual, and the extent in which they both go to protect the other is enough to give you diabetes (and heartbreak). And for those of you wondering, yes there are are R18 scenes (only in the latter half though).

I'm not a fan of romances that rely on repeated misunderstandings or falling for a rival's schemes to create conflict, and thankfully, this has neither. It's far from smooth-sailing though, so be ready to prepare your heart. Seriously, prepare your heart. I just about died over the course of cheering them on, but worry not, the ending is very satisfying and sweet. Their interactions are not only adorable, but also ridiculously hilarious at times.

Reading this was definitely a roller coaster ride of emotions, but for the most part, it's very light-hearted and will leave you full of smiles. It's an excellent blend of action and romance, with conflicts stemming from both external forces and internal turmoil. If you like transmigration stories where the characters establish a bond of affection and trust before falling in love, plenty of plot that doesn't revolve around said romance, and a happy ending (plus some extra chapters that act as fluffy icing on the cake), I definitely recommend giving this a try.

One of the best yaoi stories that I have ever read in my life. This is coming from someone who basically read every yaoi manga that exists.

The chemistry between the two MCs is so sweet, cute, s*xy, and heart wrenching all at the same time.
The plot of the story is extremely unique as well.

Reading this, I smiled, laughed, squealed, and cried.

Highly recommended, you won't regret it.

HOLY CRAP!!! As one reviewer already said, this is probably one of the best if not the best Yaoi/shounen ai I have ever read. All the main characters are sooooo good and the romantic development seems so much more real than any romance I have read about. It is first built on trust instead of lust. This is the best kind of romance, where you really know how much the characters love each other and the depths of how much they will grow their relationship. Obviously this is a slow... more>> burn romance, and this is slow burn in the best way. It scorches my heart because everything is too hot even with the smallest interactions, or contact, or smile. Like my heart is freaking burnt to a crisp right now, how am I alive???!!! How the hell will I continue this amazing story if my heart's already not working!! <<less

Don't be fooled by the title, description, or yaoi genre -- this series is surprisingly genuine and takes its plot seriously.

It's not just slapstick humor or smut (there is none in the entire first book). If I didn't see this was marked "yaoi, " I would have thought it was a normal transmigrator/reincarnator xianxia story.

When the author of his favorite LN suddenly gives the story a bullsh*t ending, our main character angrily takes to the forums to write a scathing review. Most of the main characters die and the villain... more>> destroys the world?! Unacceptable!

Little did he expect to wake up the next morning in the beginning of the story -- and as one of the first mob characters to be killed, too! Determined to survive his new life as a cannonfodder character, the main character decides to reform the villain. But his valiant efforts seem to be having unexpected results...

The few characters who have been introduced so far are pretty well-developed. The main character is earnest and hard-working, and the villain is adorably tsundere. (Later, s*xily yandere.)

The author actually created his/her (?) own world, cultivation system, monetary system, etc. I appreciate that it's not just a copy-paste of the usual xianxia world. The writing is nice and detailed without being too much of an information dump, and the pacing makes this an easy read to sink into.

Winter's translation is one of the best I've ever read. Perfect grammar, engaging language choices, attention to detail. The great translation quality was a big part of what helped me to really start to enjoy this series. Unfortunately, people keep stealing and reposting Winter's translations on for-profit aggregator sites, so he/she is dropping this series at the end of Volume 1. Such a damn shame... Winter, if you're reading this, thank you for all your hard work!

Another group may be picking this up starting in Volume 2.

For now, I'm going to give this 5 stars based on the quality of the chapters that are currently translated. I'll update this review later.

Edit: Winter was kind enough to post a super detailed summary of all of Book 2, and let me just say... this TOTALLY deserves 5 stars. A yaoi LN with actual feels, likable female characters, tragedy, and really well-written romance scenes? WHAT?!

For those of you who are wondering (you know who you are... ;P), there are apparently a lot of R-18 scenes much later on in the story. (Especially starting in Book 3.) It will be a long while until then, though, so read this for the actual plot. You won't regret it. <<less

One of the more amusing plots of transmigration that uses all the same types of tropes as other stories but still makes it unique in it's own way.

After reading his favorite online xianxia novel's conclusion, the MC curses at the story and author for such a horrific ending of the villain pretty much destroying the world. He curses the main characters to be gay. Low and behold, he ends up transmigrating into a minor cannon fodder character in the story that never had a complete background. He ends up meeting both the protagonist and the villain when they are kids and sort of becomes their nanny to try to re-educate the villain into law abiding person. However, his "education" ended up changing both the protagonist and villain in misunderstood and hilarious ways.

The villain's black belly ways are reminiscent of the seme in "Legendary Master's Wife", however, he still retains his respect for the MC. As for the MC, he's similar to "My Disciple Died Yet Again", where he dies multiple times. Each time he dies, he goes back to modern times. The only difference is that when he goes back into the story, a time skip happens, even though he retains his original body. It's a good coping mechanism for the age gaps and the potential shotacon.

Overall, a cute and amusing twist on the same old transmigration into a story plot. <<less

It's a great story! Super cute, a funny novel that transitions into romance fairly smoothly without coming across as too forced. The one thing I'm hot and cold on is the transitions between arcs.

On the one hand, it's fairly unique and interesting that the author keeps being sent back to his world upon "death" only to have to go back when he realizes the villain is straying further from the path of rehabilitation. This plot device was also a really nice way to merge his identity back on earth with the new world, rather than leaving readers hanging wondering what happened with family/another body possibly stuck back on earth like a lot of other novels do. However, sometimes the way the MC falls in and out of the world can get a little too convenient, you know?

But, I'm probably just overthinking it since it really is a very good story. And the smut scenes are satisfying, even if I'm just using MTL.

Quite good so far; translation quality is excellent, the characters have a solid base to start with. The premise is unique and the reader can already see all of the mounting problems that the MC will eventually discover and face. The story is still in its early stages but I appreciate the interaction between the narrator and his two little OP-to-be brothers; the introductory chapter also shows great humor.

It's a fresh perspective on xianxia with the addition of an unusual BL pairing. We'll see how the addition of one new... more>> character will topple the foundations of a classic xianxia story, eventually saving the world with the power of love... or something like that. Very much looking forward to reading more. <<less

This strangely has a very captivating starting plot, I literally cannot put this down because my heart yearns for more fluffiness of the mc's blooming romance.

The story is so amazing. It feels like youre the MC, lol, since he read transmigration stories like us, and never imagining that he would be tranmigrated. But yeah, im gonna go easy on commemting because it might come true. Lololol.

I cant stop grinning until I have to wait for the update. Lol. Im so evious of people who already finished this. But I... more>> will wait patiently! Be still, my heart ♥

Just read the first chapter and youll understand! The translation is well written and quite long, I just hope people should just stop reposting it and just read through Winter's blog. <<less

An adorable yet with the hint for the right masculinity can be seen in each characters....

That kind of characters are sometimes too hard to come by in BL stories. I like! *thumbs up*

The cute, beautiful, elegant, strong, timid, scaredy cat and slightly naive MC seems to be struggling just right LOL. though its the truth. I don't like those stories where MC gets transported then instantly has OP powers without working for it.

... more>> BUT of course I'm not gonna go and say theres no stories that MC will not struggle.

One of the things I like in this story is the part where they killed a person and were trying to get over it together. AND they are struggling for it too....

Many MC became cold hearted people after having this kind of situation no vomiting, no emotional turmoil (well there are some but just slight), no burrying the the dead body (no, seriously most stories don't even care about burrying, they just leave it there to rot... an open invitation for investigation to happen)

but abyways this story is one of my likes translator-san that I hope is a guy, keep up the good work! (゚∇^d) <<less

This is a hilarious series that focuses on its plot and character seriously instead of going into silly little harem events or awkward flirting. It's funny to see the MC train and work hard but still accept that he can never be as strong as the Protagonist or the Villain. He still strives to do what he can in the face of all the adversity coming at him.

I've only read the first volume thus far and am anxiously awaiting future releases, but I am really looking forward to how everyone... more>> reacts after volume one's conclusion. The story development and procession of events are written very well. <<less

The MC didnt like the ending of the novel he was reading so he was send there in order to fix the plot.... he gets the role of a minor cannon fodder character that is destined to die so the hidden potential of the protagonist will be awekened.... The MC doesnt want to die so early so he tries his best to guide his junior brothers (the protagonist and hi enemy the ml) so they wont end up crooked

Its a very good read with a lot of sweet moments anf... more>> fluff <<less

Pretty damn good, I would recommend this to anyone who is fine with BL.

Volume 1 feels like a pretty standard and normal non-BL novel, I almost wondered if I was reading something else instead.

The MC is pretty hilarious, cliches and tropes are used in a good way that amuses you.

Plot is interesting, I like it very much. One of the better BL novels out there.

I slogged through the chinese raws thinking it would get less cliche but it turned out to be yet another story with a blushing protagonist and a rapey, controlling and possessive lover. You know the drill: the protagonist protests about bottoming and wallows in his feelings of emasculation, while the rapey lover is so full of love for the protagonist that you'll never see him bottom out of consideration, or you know, take no for an answer. If that's your idea of sweet and fluffy, then good for you.

I want—scratch that—I NEED the translation of Volume 3 and the rest!!!

The story is so good that I just need more. It's the combination of comedy, drama, action, and I love both the protagonist (I mean the actual protagonist of the story, not the one with the hedgehog hair) and the villain's point of view.

I am looking forward to the *ehem* steamy scenes *ehem* so I was disappointed to know that the translation was dropped.

Please, anyone, translate this novel. It's worth it!!! ❤

Yup! He's posessive, has an obsession about the MC. Kind of Yandere. He hates anyone that touch the MC.

At first, a tsundere but when The MC sacrifice his life for him, he became like that... ummm what do you call that...? That type of 'can't live without him' thus, 'destroy everything if anything happens to him' and 'nothing reflects in his eyes, only him'

Cute but kind of dark love

So here's my main problem. I don't like the side story. The story of the "hero" having all these 10 yo girls fall in love with him and one day join his harem makes my stomach turn. This is why I don't read stories for boys. I sympathize with women. Secondly, the protagonist is 20 something mentally and the main characters are 9 or something and I can't ship that romantically. I care a little about mental ages. And with yaoi anything below age 15 is shota and kind of... more>> taboo. <<less
