Amazing games (I guess it contributes to world building?)  with super smart characters. Romance is alrightish and is sweet but the main main mainnnnn gem is the amazing ways the characters get through all the games and instances. More action/adventure than romance <<less

There are tons of dog-blood drama, face-slapping and insanely s*upid side characters.The main protagonist is the typical rebirth story character with a strong protagonist halo (there are absolutely no setbacks at all). He is a superb hacker and game maker and is super smart too. Though I have noooo idea how his mental state hasn’t fallen due to his past life, he is still a cute (towards the ML) and ruthless (towards his enemies) shou.The ML is the super duper rich guy in every storybook and of course he is richer than the main protagonist’s brain-dead sister’s boy. He is dotting and gentlemanly but at the same super possessive and lusty (but tries to hide it). He plays a major role in helping the main protagonist through all the sticky situations (making things easier for him) but the main protagonist does some of the heavy lifting too. Towards the later part of the story, it’s mostly in ML and his resources doing the work though because our protagonist is putting his trust and relying on our MLThe s*upid self-entitled something-wrong-with-her-head sister of the main protagonist is the villain. Like…from the start of the story you’ll get high blood pressure from reading her and the Mo family’s nonsense. It’s next level bullsh*t and the author at least knows it is and let the passerbys in the novel not be entangled in it (THANK GOD!). Her mentality is next level crazy so BE WARNED, you’ll feel super frustrated when reading it!The past life story was also so heart-wrenching (not the one we initially read *hint hint* though that was super sad too). Shed buckets of tears T-T!! Cry with me people!! [spoiler] The plot twist about the sister was a great touch too![/spoiler]The ending was AMAZING! I absolutely love it! So read till the end! The revenge was done in full (karma bit everyone in the ass), [spoiler] all the brain-deadness was cleared up [/spoiler] and the characters who deserved their happy endings all got em!Overall, if you are reading this for pleasure, enjoy dog-blood drama, satisfying face slapping and revenge, and can get past the characters’ brain-deadness (which is how the author actually intended to create her characters), this would be a good read for you! Real good quality slice of life novel. The pace is great with good arcs and the right amount of action. The romance is slow burn and so good! If you aren't into descriptive cooking methodology/ excessive food description, this may not be for you as ther's at least one in almost every chapter, but it is not so in your face like some and is reasonably placed. Give this a try if you're looking for a dose of food and not-overly-sweet fluff! <<less

Together with the big boss (aka the Ghost King/ our drop dead gorgeous male lead/ CEO/ the "face" of the company/ the preschooler/ the game addict/ the-guy-who-has-many-"great"-ideas), he embarks on the journey to modernise Hell and it's 6 paths of reincarnation though modern technology and socialism, and creating unique methods to earn money for the company to support Hell's path to modernization. This... more>> is a really good novel. The world building 10/10. The novel emphasis on the myths and legends of ghosts and the afterlife and religious rituals that you can skim over (don't know how true they are though), and how modern technology is used to solve the supernatural. The modern way to solve supernatural problems are so cute and logical that you really can't find fault in them. Through finding better ways to solve Hell's problems, our main protagonist creates tons of interesting tools to help the poor broke company earn them RMB. There is also a heavy emphasis on socialisim and capitalism which is humours. If you take it with a pinch of salt and read it just for fun it's alright. But if you think authors who touch on the topics are propagating them then this really isn't a book for you. The main protagonist is they sunny optimistic boy next door who isn't the overly naive  type. He is a super "straight male" wink wink*. The ML is a slightly childish, not-so-human super adorable character. Both of them are enjoyable characters who are good at what they do and don't need to wait for either to save each other. This isn't a super fluffy book about their relationship but their interactions are top tier! 

In the epilogue, there are 3 extras called Feiyu Amus**ent Park (Chapter 141 -143) that has the foreigners-look-down-on-us-but-was-ultimately-faceslapped thing going on. So for those who get triggered when they read this, you can just skip these chapters. But it isn't really that bad just skim through it for fun if y'all don't mind. 

All in all, this is a must read. It's a refreshing novel with great world building, characters, plot pace and epilogue! Definitely recommend anyone who is just browsing through looking for a good read.  <<less

I enjoyed this novel. It's not the most interesting in terms of plot nor is the relationship build up the best but there's something about... more>> it that just made it so…readable.I started out reading because I was looking for some hints of angst but with a happy ending and this just hits the mark! The expectations, the disappointments, the betrayals … it was simply PERFECT! The author had me guessing who the ML is for half the novel, with me shipping one guy then another. I liked the guy the MC ended up with but I really pitied those who didn't SIGH. The ending was satisfactory I guess? Nothing to write home about but there was closure.The MC is one word…carefree. Due to his experience, he has little to no expectations of people and became indifferent to people. I think it's because of his indifference, the story became has less drama and became more of a slice of life hehe.The plot itself was not the most interesting. Okish (but quite meh-ish) plot twist and a smooth journey throughout (after the MC regain his 'freedom). Not much fight scenes, revenge scene or dog-blood drama scene like a typical cultivation novel. This story is about (‼️warning full general gist of the plot ahead, not really a spoiler but an overview) the MCs journey of how the people he had expectations for disappointed him, how they regretted it, how the MC not give a fudge about those regrets, only treating them how he wants to treat them and forgiving who he wants to, and how he learns about his origin and the past that had occurred.Overall, it's quite a decent read. If you're looking for hints of angst (only in the first 20 or 0 chapters or so) and a (relatively) drama free read that keeps you guessing who the ML is, this is for you! <<less
