Yes MC is not smart. He is an actual hamster, so why would he be anything other than his cute dumb self? He can still bite though, even with his sesame seed sized courage. ML is such a green flag. No instant love, although good feelings grew quickly due to where and how MC and ML met. Takes a little longer for MC, which makes sense since he literally has to overcome his biggest fear, of snakes. Cause he’s a hamster. And ML is a snake. Fun and fluff. Easy... more>> to read. <<less

It's a very very satisfying novel to read. I love the story, the characters, the world-building and even the extras.

MC was a hamster before he regained a human body through cultivation. He was kept as a pet by several humans before, so you can expect his skewed worldview. He wanted human body so he could eat human foods. After he got the body he wanted, he was content being kept. By whom? By the ML, of course. That's not to say that he's totally useless as a human. With his... more>> cultivation, he solved the hardest problem plaguing the Beastmen Empire and became the most valuable asset of all.

In terms of character, Shu Shu (MC) was very straightforward. He said what he felt and did what he wanted. And because of his cultivation, he learned very fast. So he was able to integrate with the ML's family quite easily and later had a job as a doctor. Also, he's narcissistic. It's always funny every time he speaks proudly. And...

Shu Shu is afraid of snakes, even until the end. He might get used to Edgar's dragon form (yes, dragon!) later on but just barely. He was even afraid of his son's dragon form. It's because of fear of being eaten and I think it makes sense that hamster who used to live normally is afraid of its natural predator.

BTW the title actually refers to Shu Shu's son. When his son broke out of the egg with his dragon/snake form, Shu Shu was paralyzed and thought, 'Will I be raising my natural enemy?' (Initially, I thought the title refers to Edgar lol)

Meanwhile, Edgar (ML) was a wife-s*ave. Period.

The worldbuilding is my favorite. I feel that it was so perfect.

In history, the beastmen left their planet to explore the universe, were ens*aved by other species and had to fight back. Only when they won did they were able to secure the space to live and form the Beastmen Empire. The fallen beastmen from that war were still alive as beasts and later on were relevant for the plot.

It didn't mean that they were the only species living in the universe though. Although only in extras, another species on good term with the empire actually appear on a diplomatic visit and it was explained that they have a trading agreement with other species. I found this way more realistic than ABO AU which only has the human.

On the political term, the Beastmen Empire practices democracy with the royal family acting only as a symbol. I believe that the ruling of democracy instead of a monarchy is a symbol of development and since the novel runs in the futuristic setting, they are in balance.

In the Beastmen Empire, there are the more dominant beastmen and less dominant sub-beastmen. It's a beastman instinct to protect and cherish a sub-beastman. It's kinda similar to ABO AU but with less discrimination. The sub-beastmen can work and even enter the military. (Societal development)

A beast bead needs to be given by a beastman to his favored sub-beastman in order to reproduce, which mean that the most appropriate pairing will be beastmanXsub-beastman. But beastmanXbeastman and sub-beastmanXsub-beastman pairings are still accepted. They are uncommon but still exist. (Another societal development)

Aside from that, I love the extras and I actually wish there are more. The sons and spouses are the cutest things ever. And I think that all the husbands in here are henpecked for their partners, which is also another reason why I love the novel so much. <<less

I've been bored for these past few weeks. I wanted to stay away from the stereotype rebirth BL stories where the MC with his past life experience being oh so great gets famous. Though I've always love those types, it just felt so stuffy after reading almost the same events over and over again and so I seaeched novels and found this.

I must say, Edgar (ML) and Shushu (MC) really suits each other. I love how straightforward and cute they could be with every interaction. Their kids are... more>> also so adorable. The story was pretty fast pace but still stuck close to baing balance with the developments.

MC was a hamster from another world. Through a lucky chance, he encountered a red bead or rather a golden finger. He cultivated using this red bead and after some thousand years he got his wish to experience the heavenly tribulation and become human mainly, I believe it's to eat human food and live a life just eating. He's just so cute! Trust me. Unfortunately, after the tribulation he just barely passed and he still needs to pass another test to become a human. Because of these he became a demon spirit with a human body and a few add ons (Like fluffy ears and a short tail), He was also sent to another world but he never noticed it until some few chapters more. Here he met ML which was in a bad mood after bursting his Dantian and became a snake beast. His Aircraft/Mech got destroyed and with how bad his condition was he didn't even want ro continue his journey anymore. But he met MC who looks like a sub-Beast and ML felt the desire to protect. He vowed to protect the creature in his heart but who would know that just after being seen by the sub-beast, the sub-beast MC got so scared so he pretend that he was dead and so the story continues.

The novel is really funny, heart warming, gentle, and very cute. Try to read it and y'ould know what I mean. <<less

I literally have no idea how this has 4.6 star rating. I am reading it with much difficulty, and can not stand it any longer, really. There will be spoilers, so you can just skip to the end, my rating is there.

First of all, I do not like any of the characters. They do not feel real, and they are not likeable at all. Our hamster MC is an idiot white moonlight who just takes everything at face value. Does he even have a brain, at this point? To boot,... more>> he supposedly lived hundreds of years. Sure, he used to be a hamster but come on, you are telling me he can learn stuff that easily but is still a dumbass? The beast bead misunderstanding is such a joke as well. As for the ML, gosh. Seriously? You are telling me he is 30 and he acts like that? I hated how he kept what 'skill class' was, and he never explained things thoroughly to MC.

Everything in this story is just a fricking mess. Supporting characters are so unreal, they do not feel like a character even. Ian and Chris, for example, just appear characterless if you pay attention to it. They are just there as scarecrows because they have some roles to play. MC's so called friend is also like that.

This novel is happening in a beastmen empire, right? And MC has hamster ears as a sub beastmen. But throughout the novel, no other person's animal characteristic is mentioned. Like, how can you not describe how they look like, not even in the slightest? Not even once????? I can not imagine anything in the novel, how the place they live in looks like, how the places they went to looks like, how does other characters look like and what is their animal characteristics??

"Plot" is also a huge cliche, so I am not even gonna mention it. Holes and holes, I can't even see any plot because there is nothing but holes.

In the end, if I could give 0 stars, I would. Although there are much more worse cases than this, this one triggered and irritated me the most.

Still though, translation is generally good and quite readable, thanks for the translator's efforts in that, although they are wasted for this novel imo.

People may read this for the brainless fluff, and I do read that kind of novels time to time but this one is... no. Just no. I can feel my brain crying. Thanks, but no thanks.

To sum up:

Characters: 1

Writing style: 0

Plot: (plot what plot for the gods sake)

Translation: 4

I like the story. There's a nice balance of plot and humour, and the romance is... cute? Despite the author speaking of equality between the two races, beatsmen and sub-beastmen, we see quite a bit of blatant misogyny and normalised discrimination. I also think that the story was dragged out due to the separation of "arcs, " which is why I stopped reading. It's honestly just getting boring at this point, and all of the relationship-dynamics I've seen have been similarly imbalanced (the weak/dumb one and the elegant/cool guy). Everyone... more>> changes entirely because of love, and that doesn't really happen. There's also the fact that ML completely overtakes MC. Like, MC cultivated for years to lose it all, but wouldn't it at least be easier for him to cultivate? Nope, the author declares that talent > skill. Forgot to mention MC's snake-phobia. Like, he only tries overcoming it to

fully human and show that he's a beastman so cannot get pregnant,

and, later, he's still terrified of snakes. Like? Are you sure you're doing this right? Sure, I'd understand a sudden panic when a snake's up-close, but he's always terrified?

So, yep. Quality content with too much quantity. <<less

Just finished the google translated raw, for anyone who are curious and can't wait for the next update, just read the same way as me.

I read the first few chapters from Lada's BL MTL, then compared chapter 1 between mtl-ed and the translator's. Becouse the phrase that may be different, ex: deaemon/goblin/demon (Lada's BL MTL) the asian orc/orc (googled). But the rest is easy to understand.

As for the story, it's very light with no H scene, the race from this univers is beastman (man) and sub-beastman (woman/capable of reproduction). So... more>> for anyone who are not fond of BL, you can read it just fine.

For me it's looks like the hamster have a mistaken identity (with good reason). Though he is not in any catagory of gander, after

swallow the beast core of another beastman

he is capable of being pregnant.

All in all, it's a nice read <<less

So fluffy, so CUTE!!! Our darling MC, Shu Shu is too adorable, cute, innocent, cute~ (not enough vocab to describe MC's supreme cuteness), ML Edgar also very devoted & goes with anything Shu Shu said, the perfect, model husband ever!

tiny spoiler: I'm dying with laughter on a certain chapter when Shu Shu heard about adultery & wondering aloud if Edgar will ever cheat on him. Edgar on their son communicator is speechless, thinking isn't he always good towards Shu Shu, moreover is there anyone better than Shu Shu? Then Shu Shu said aloud that there's no way Edgar will ever cheat on him because he still youthful, good-looking & very powerful. Their son is speechless & admiringly see Edgar nodding from the communicator, agreeing with Shu Shu narcissism, his heart moved. O (≧▽≦) o

I absolutely love Shu Shu & Edgar!! This wn fluffiness rivaled Beloved Marriage in High Society, not much misunderstanding between MC& ML. I wish there's more extra though, since Shu Shu & Edgar should both be an immortal whereas most people in that planet live for around 100 years. I like this wn so much, I reread it a couple of times. Writing this review makes me want to reread it again.. <<less

This story is so sweet it gave me diabetes.

Shu Shu (MC) is adorable. He's a hamster spirit who has cultivated to become human and all his wisdom about humans comes from his owners. Unsurprisingly, he's a bit naive and only wants to eat, eat and eat. His inner monologues are hilarious. He's timid but brave enough to do the right thing and help Edgar (ML) who is a snake. His thoughts are appropriately portrayed as simple since he is a hamster after all. Loved him.

Edgar (ML) is one of the... more>> most patient and loving MLs out there. His love for Shu Shu is absolute. Their interactions are tooth-decaying sweet.

The plot flows well, the translation is great. The side characters are well fleshed out. Its a great read. There is nothing to dislike in the story.

Waiting for the extras impatiently......... <<less

This is a really cute, fluffy story with no angst and some pretty satisfactory face slapping. MC retains most of his innocent hamster traits throughout the story and ML is always sweet, thoughtful and super loving! I gave this 4 stars for two reasons:

  1. The first part of the story is really good, maybe even 5 star quality but after MC and ML returns to the capital planet, the story turned into the generic rich, good looking prince ML falls for innocent but helpful OP "cinderella" MC.
  2. There are some minor but irritating discrepancies in the story. I won't list them out, but you'll find them easily if you pay the slightest attention to the story.
Other than that it's definitely an enjoyable, light-hearted read!

When I sacrifice my beauty sleep just to read this novel, I. DIDN'T. REGRET. IT. It was worth the fight, and I'm glad that I didn't give up this battle. (The MTL-Battle). Okay, let's talk about this novel. The MPreg tag didn't disappoint me at all because ... more>>

they show step by step on what happens during pregnancy, instead of just skipping the thing and suddenly, "here's the baby". (Although Shu Shu didn't pregnant that long since he gave birth to eggs and these eggs took times to hatch), I am happy with this, reading how ML didn't know that MC was pregnant and think that he got a tumour in his body and they almost operate him.

I really like how simple and clueless the MC was like => since he is a hamster before this, his motto is just to eat and die, so having a master that could give him food makes him so happy (ML gladly took the responsibility to feed him).

The other character like Jonas, chris, ian and others have their own story but you wont get bored, instead, you will love to read about them. And in extra

there are chapters about shu shu's son who is like him (sub-beast but stronger than beast). His interaction with his ML is cutee, seeing that his ML was devoted to him for the last ten years. They got triplet son ✿♥‿♥✿

Overall, I have to give 4.7/5, story, character progress, plot, suspense, climax, villain, and everything else was perfectly written. I just wish there were more chapter on MC and ML fighting the bad guy. ( ((O (*゚▽゚*) o))) <<less

Cute story. It's not terribly romantic, more like a day in the life of a hamster's thoughts. It's really amusing how a hamster teaches a snake to cultivate to become a human, despite having a snake phobia. It's even funnier that when his son turns out to be a snake as well, he still has a snake phobia.

A hilarious story that doesn't really dwell too much on political intrigue, cultivation, or much suspense. Although, he teaches how to cultivate, he himself as a hamster isn't that gifted in cultivation. In... more>> fact, he's sort of a weak chicken in anything except in healing. Even in healing, he has to borrow his partner's energy.

How he became pregnant is filled with comedic relief, and the concept of a male only society laying eggs is also funny. Most of the romance was one sided in the beginning with how a large snake tried to help a snake fearing hamster. And how the hamster tried to cultivate a snake in order to protect the so called master in the future so he can have a life of ease and be petted.

There are a couple of other side stories, including one of the sons and some other friends and their love lives. All of which are relatively short and easy to read.

Overall, it's quite an enjoyable easy going read. <<less

I just finished this story and I have to say: SO CUTE!! If you want to read a heart warming BL story then you are in the right place! The racial misunderstandings are a bit frustrating but thankfully they get resolved quickly. We also get to know more about their sons in the end of the story (also very cute). If you are more interested in action packed stories then you will probably find this one too boring. But I think it's a great (light) read.

I felt like people who can't speak well and full of slurs—shouldn't leave a review. I advise people to be more profound. Don't just wear your emotions when reading, wear your brains as well. I technically want to give this around 4.5-4 stars, but I felt like I have to compensate for people who give 1 star indiscriminately.

First of all, this is a solid read. This is a breath of fresh air. I'll have to excuse myself if there is already similar stories, but this all came very new for... more>> me so really really great.

A pet hamster who has awareness and cultivates, transmigrate to another world as a human? Haven't heard any of sorts. I felt like at some point, humans are high intellectual beings and so of course, I don't have any reluctance about their transmigrasion.

But to see a hamster point of view and experience to being a human and into civilization, it's really make me so full and sweet. Ofc there are some flaws, we could never be 100 percent sure about a pet hamster perspective. We will never be, but Shu Shu is so cute, I felt like he's been my former hamster as well. Haha.

One of the things I'm not that fond of, is how too fast paced everything is, I meant fast, it's really fast. There's a lot of things happening at the same time, they are great, and I don't really mind if the author expand it more than glossing everything over like I'm doing a rerun. Haha. And also how things are just falling into places, fits perfectly like tetris.

I think one of the things that make the story more three dimensional is to let things loose, everthing could not be so fitting, right? I think having a very straighforward, innocent and pure MC is out of touch already so being more chaotic in others could be good.

All in all, this is a good read. Before this, I actually ask for story of my craving at the moment, keywords: "childrearing", "mpreg", "coquettishshou". This gave me full satisfaction of my cravings both for my longing of child rearing story and coquettish MC. Although before this, Offer to Marriage fits more, after that I read this, I'm totally K.O. <<less

I super love this novel. I don't know how many times I've re read it. It's light hearted. There are negative reviews about the IQ of hamster. People really have high expectations of the hamster 🤣. It's the best for light reading. And I'd also like to add. There's humor here. Comedy. Some people are too serious you expect every MC transmigator to be a genius. Hahaha.

I have to say that I actually expected something better. Not to say that the novel is bad, but with the amount of readers and good ratings this novel has, I just thought it would satisfy expectations, y'know? I don't think it was worth it reading about a hundred chapters of this. I don't find it that fluffy and cute either. When the author would write about the daily life of our main cp in between the plot, it just felt like a filler that would repeat how cute MC... more>> is, how much food, how handsome, talented, and admiring ML is, how the netizens repeat that they look up to the CP. Things like that. It was like a Gary Stu/Mary Sue novel. It gets old.

It might take some time for me to finish the extras since I'm not sure if I'm interested in reading 29 more filler-like chapters. Usually fluff novels get me squealing a lot but this one is pretty meh. I did especially in the first 30 chapters, but I think I lost a lot of interest after they returned to the capital.

So, my final rating would be a 4 stars. <<less

I started this book because a lot of the readers have mentioned that it is very cute, light, fluffy, and heartwarming. For me, not exactly so. I'm in chapter 54 and I absolutely have no impression of the "cute, light, fluffy and heartwarming" parts. On the contrary, I'm very much frustrated. The MC was too dense (which is understandable because he's a hamster who'd never been in a relationship) and, dare I say self-centered. He only got his best interest in mind.

The reason why MC started teaching ML cultivation methods... more>> was because he found out that the big snake was the one who kept giving him prey and protected him. But because his snake form terrified him, he wanted ML to have a human form so he could continue protecting MC without getting him scared. This is what I perceived, feel free to think that I'm wrong.

Later, he rejected the ML and emphasized that he was a beastman, not a sub-beastman (well, he's not both. He's a 妖, a hamster spirit, a daemon) He told the ML to not like him because of it, but felt 'unhappy' whenever other sub-beastmen got close to him. He also thought about how he would get kicked out from the Imperial Palace and had nowhere to go if Edgar ever liked another sub-beastman, so the only way to stay was if Edgar didn't like anybody else. Sis what, and that's on being?? A leech. I even felt bad for Myer at this point because he was the one who actually loved Edgar.

I know that the author is showing us how the MC slowly discovers his feeling, but at this point, I'm just plain frustrated. I am very tired of this kind of plot and impatient, probably because the reviews got me hyped up but it disappointed me how it didn't live up to my expectations.

Maybe things will get fluffy as others have said? Hopefully. I seriously don't wanna ruin the rating, so as much as I'm dissatisfied, I'll keep it on 4. When I complete the book, I'll come back and change my review.

Update: It seems that I've written the review a chapter too early as MC actually confessed to ML in chapter 55. I've gotten my share of fluff :) I am healed. But my prejudice still stands, so it's still a 4 for me <<less

Characters: 4.5/5

I really like MC and ML, as well as their relationship, particularly in the beginning. Maybe MC is a lil too s*upid-cute, but it's not too bad. It was definitely love at first sight for ML, but we see the process their relationship progresses through. MC is also a huge glutton, which is pretty funny.

The side characters aren't that well developed, but they're still quite enjoyable. Later one we see the imperial family and Jones, and I particularly enjoy the arc on the Fallen Beast Planet. Actually, as a... more>> whole, the focus is not really on the characters but what the characters do, if that makes sense.

Plot: 5/5

Again, I particularly enjoy the beginning. It's still not bad later on though, and the author interweaves the story's main plot quite well throughout. The arcs are also alright. I'll say that nothing is really that original, but the simple-mindedness of MC makes it different.

That said, even at this point MC's child hasn't been born, so maybe the title of this novel isn't entirely accurate lol. He hasn't started raising his natural enemy yet!

In regards to H scenes, there's not that much. There's a couple of ambiguous scenes, but overall not that much.

Writing & Translation: 5/5

No problems, thanks to the translator! <<less

Just completed MTL'ing this one and can't wait to re-read it once it's fully translated!

This story is so full of fluff that I don't even mind it having 'mpreg' in it.... more>>

I'm from that camp that doesn't enjoy seeing such things in a BL world. I mean, male characters from these stories are already feminine enough both in their looks and behaviour (the bottom ones, of course), if you add childbearing to those things we basically have a woman with a... cough cough... bird. I can't understand why one would pretend like this kind of creature is a male. If you want your character to be beautiful, weak, somewhat silly, dependent and being able to give birth to a child of a strong and powerful man, why don't you just write a normal BG story! It would make way more sense!

As I said, the story itself is quite cute. To my mind, there isn't enough development in the plot or the world but in this kind of story, it's rather understandable. Although there are a few interesting side characters, they sadly don't have much of plot-time. The last part of the story is like a series of extras which are very amusing. At first I thought that the kids were neglected by their parents but apparently, they weren't! I'd love to read more about the kids~

It's a nice read for those times when you want to grab your coffee or tea or whatever you prefer to drink, sit down and relax with a heartwarming story. Although there are a few villains present, they are so insignificant and short-lived that they don't bring too much of a burden to the story.

Incidentally, am I the only one who noticed a peculiar naming tendency of the royal family?

The Emperor is named Chris, then the ML's name is Edgar, the kids are named Fred and Gary... I mean, it's basically the ABC's sequence with the letter 'd' skipped. C- Chris, D -???, E- Edgar, F- Fred, G- Gary. Seeing all of the above I'm rather curious now what happened to the person who was supposed to be named with 'D'...

Can't say much, im too sleepy. Hmm so ML is capable, and MC is cute. Also I like the ML bcs he's very loyal and caring, actually almost all Gong in this novel are very likeable. He's possessive but not too much and thankfully has common sense when courting his love interest. The kids are cute, actually I wanna see more about Fred but oh well, Gary's is very cute too... And the last thing, I love how innocent and mature Shu Shu, also his confidence and narcissism knows no bound. It's quite cute actually. I honestly dont think MC even has a brain. He is so s*upid istg and its not even funny how s*upid MC is. Even shrimp would have better working brain than MC. This MC has been alive for hundreds of years and yet his brain is nonexistent. He cant even understand basic conversation. He lack IQ and EQ but somehow smart enough to be a cultivator. ML is your typical black bellied ML. He use MC s*upidity to his own advantage, he never told MC anything important so he can... more>> keep MC being this dumb sub hamster. Literally so manipulative and unreasonable. You know what I honestly pity his citizen because your future king is so selfish. I would think a future king has to be more fair when dealing with personal problems that clash with his professional responsibility but instead the ML just immediately prioritize his personal problem aka MC.

I wouldnt recommend anyone to read the story its very annoying and I can feel my brain cell deteriorate after I finished reading this story. Honestly expect at least some character development but nope nada none.

The side character has 0 personal characterization and play absolutely dd nothing to the story. They just there either

A. To get face slapped

B. Continously praise MC/ML like they are some type of god

The whole plot is also very cliche especially after MC and ML get their human body form back. They honestly should just end the story after ML bring MC to his kingdom fullstop because I would still give the story 2 stars but the story after that is just 0.5 star worth. Every arc is hella cliche, the comedy isnt even funny unless you got elementary school humor then you are good, and the conflict is so boring because MC is too OP and ML is too black bellied.

Anyway the couple isnt to my liking its like watching a pe*ophile since our smooth brain MC think like 5 years old child and ML and his whole persuasion isnt helping. It truly feel like some adult taking advantage of innocent children brain <<less
