I just wanted to read a cute novel like Violant of the Silver, then got interested in reading other BL/danmeis. Here is my journey reading them! I bet my fujoshi friend of 14 years will be proud. This list is dedicated to her. Hopefully anyone checking out this list can find a novel that suits you. I don't actually love (but I at least mildly enjoy) every novel in this list so this will be my impressions on the novels I've read. Not all the stories I like are actually that good but they somehow still strike my heart!

MC is deaf, an internet troll, and also an avid reader otaku who got isekai'd into a novel. ML was the bright hero type until he got backstabbed over and over until he became an edge lord wow. He can also change forms into the 8 different races and his personality is different with each form. The story is still relatively light-hearted and a good read. I've never felt that a scene was draggy or the pace being too fast. There are two major concurrent plotlines so the focus will shift from time to time. (Duan Jiayan & Lu Xingci) I saw this at Chrysanthemum Garden and gave it a try. This is the first ABO novel I have read (I read some mangas or manhwas of it before though). MC is a late-blooming omega and he was pretty chill with suddenly being diagnosed as an omega. In this universe, there is protection for omegas so although there are a few alphas who discriminate, they will be punished for it. MC can fight back and usually has already beaten up the person before ML arrives lol. ML has good self-control over his desires and doesn't force the MC; in fact, it's the MC pushing him to do stuff cough.

After reading The Star Around The Sun, I actually bought the e-book "The Missing Piece" published by Via Lactea (I bought it from Kobo for $7.19). The preview is up until Chapter 7 (there are 10 chapters for the main story + 14 extras) so if you like the preview, then you should definitely buy it. The very first scene of the novel took me by surprise because it was *cough* spicy *cough*. There was more explicit content than I thought, but there was a lot of drama too.
Based on the afterword, the author seems to have really gone with the flow while writing and almost dropped this novel! Well, now it has an official English release so wow! It has a lot of common tropes to add more drama but I found it quite enjoyable anyway. Like the whole "we are in a contract relationship" and a bunch of misunderstandings. Though, it was hard for me to imagine how ML was like in the beginning because MC doesn't understand him (unreliable narrator...). I have very mixed feelings about ML. One problem I have is how convenient MC's amnesias are (yes, plural)... How is his brain wired...
