first of all, BRILLIANT world building holy hell?? like this feels, like a complete world?? if you know what i mean?? just know that the woLRD BUILDING IS ABSOLUTELY CRISP!! SO CLEANLY WRITTEN I LOVE IT. the chapters may seem short but trust me everything is explained SO SO clearly, nothing is amiss. THIS IS THE BEST WORLD BUILDING I’VE SEEN IN MY ENTIRE TIME READING BLS.

little mushroom, despite the very cute sounding synopsis, is actually quite heavy. to any new readers, it’s HAPPY ENDING!!! HAPPY ENDING!! HAPPY ENDING!! OKAY!! this is set during the time in the future where some sci-fi stuff happens and now humanity is facing destruction and despair. an apocalyptic dystopian setting if you will. the story is filled with topics such as morality, melancholy, despair, life and basically what it means to be human. i can’t reveal much or else i’ll spoil the story, you will come to understand this world as you continue reading! read!! it!!

little mushroom’s MC is very unique. he is pure and naive, but he isn’t s*upid. as he comes into contact with different types of people, he learns more about humanity, little by little. i love his character so much!!!!! you get to experience the ‘new-ness’ of the northern base and the humans living there; it is in no way annoying, instead, it’s very intriguing to grow with him as a character. (once again i can’t say much because it’ll be spoilers qaq)

ML!! is written so so well. this is one of the best ‘stoic’ and ‘cold’ ML i’ve seen. he is someone who sacrifices more than others for the sake of humanity but he is also someone hated, feared and despised by the general public. his position as the ‘judge’ makes ML have to shoulder so so many things; but he still manages to keep his ideals and isn’t blinded by anything. he’s a very tragic character, he’s not heartless and places human interest above all others. his kindness is the reason why he can take on such a ruthless job, yet none recognizes his will to keep humanity safe. i honestly love his character sm goddamnit QAQ ps. he isn’t OP at all!!! he faces near-death experiences and pain as well. it’s unfair to label him as ‘OP’, hes a very 3-d character and is so brilliantly written.

THE ROMANCE is very subtle but it’s so sweet. the romance they have is a slow-paced and growing one. it starts off lukewarm, but gradually becomes sweet and heart warming. ESPECIALLY THE EXTRAS <33 although they experience many obstacles, its a happy ending :)i really enjoyed this novel so so much. i initially had this on my list for a very long time but never started reading it. when i finally did, i definitely didn’t regret it at all. amazing amazing story!! it deserve its 4.8 rating definitely.

this novel has a carrd!

Well, this has got to be one of my favourite reads.

What a brilliant read! First of all, beautifully written by MuSiLi (as always), the plot, the pacing, the characters and most importantly, the ROMANCE/CHEMISTRY between the leads… absolutely remarkable. Nights is a sci-fi book that is centered around the idea of time and spacetime, theres a lot of themes relating to time traveling, wormholes and all that special relativity jazz (which so happens to be something I’m fascinated by!) Of course, the author themself stated that this is not a scientifically correct novel and theres a lot of made up things they improvised on, HOWEVER! The world building itself is great and the mysteries/early plot holes WILL be explained… solved…. in the latter half of the novel. TRUST ME. Everything ties up nicely at the end (theres this whole arc around the climax).

OK! On to my favourite part of this novel - the dynamics of the MC and the ML. Absolutely perfect. Everything I ever wanted in a danmei. They leak of s*xual tension! The scenes where they are alone together is like… crazy. They have crazy chemistry is all I can say. The fact that they knew each other for a long…. time… plus the mutual trust… plus they complex relationship of not being friends not being enemies… plus the teasing… plus the way ML calls MC ‘My Dear’… plus the cold bottom + playful top dynamic… ALL THAT DELICIOUS STUFF! My favourite scenes are when they show vulnerability to each other despite being two very strong men. Very similar to JiuHou from Global Examination (also by MuSuLi). It is GREAT!

I don’t wanna say too much BUT I AM CRAZY ABOUT THEM. Chu Si and Sa’e Yang… my Gs….

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE even if you find the translated chapters boring.. FINISH THE FIRST BOOK (DUST) BEFORE YOU MAKE YOUR JUDGEMENT. READ THE (1st) Time Travel ARC (CH38++) FIRST I BEG OF YOU!!!

ANOTHER MMM CHEF’S KISS NOVEL FROM AUTHOR MU SI LI!!! one of my favorite authors <333! all of the works i’ve read from mu si li has been fantastic, and this one definitely is as well!! i’ve only read the 27 translated chapters and i’m about to jump to mtl. so far, its really spectacular.

amazing world building, and the military-ish/executive officer kinda theme fits my taste so so much. #ilovefictionalmeninuniforms

the dynamics between the two leads are *chefs kiss*, it almost reminds me of jiahou; which are the leads for her other novel, global university entrance examination. they bicker a lot and their interactions are so funny. im already loving them very much.

looking forward to continuing this journey!

never thought i’d find a novel that could rival kaleidoscope of death, BUT HERE WE ARE, 19% INTO THE STORY AND ALREADY JUMPING TO #4. its super good and unique. mmmm chefs kiss

its an excellent novel! i really love the premise of this story. imo, its a bit gory, and the horror/mystery is fun — but isn't scary enough to like, make-you-fear-walking-to-the-toilet. just a tad bit graphic, i think the author is or is at least interested in the medical field(hence their pen-name) because all of the gore are quite detailed.

the action scenes are brilliant too! the regression that MC goes through is quite unique from other unlimited flow novels i've read, sometimes you just feel really bad for him :( the pain he goes through + how everyone's memory in that instance is wiped out after, leaving only him to remember what has happened; it really is despairing,,,

what i love about these types of unlimited flow is that MC isn't op(you'll see why) and the instances are actually fun and engaging to read, not just the leads boom boom power through everything. its worth reading DEFINITELY!! the highlight of this novel to be honest has to be the ML. hes VERY VERY different from any other MLs i've seen before. heck, in the beginning i had to check who's the ML, I ACTUALLY THOUGHT HE WAS THE SILLY SIDE CHARACTER IN MOST NOVELS?? i was like oh this guys so cute i hope he doesn't di- OH MY GOD THATS THE ML?? hes the happy-go-lucky puppy type gong. (yea! hes actually top!! i had to check so many times) i love him so much, hes such a good character. but, don't be fooled by the cute appearance, his deduction/analyzing skills are superb. if i had to say, the pairing is like: younger, energetic puppy gong x older, cold but gentle inside shou. SOOOOOOOOOO CUTE achjejfhfolen. so far its only been translated like 19% out of the whole novel, so don't start judging them now. character development comes with time. overall, i'm very satisfied with this novel, its great.

ps. if u play genshin / ship their characters, the dynamics is a bit like childe x zhongli, but make childe less blood thirsty and more cute + make zhongli less op. YEAH LIKE THAT !! puppy x gentle…hehe brainrot ehhhehhe <<less

i blitzed through about 10 something novels before actually finding one worthy of *reviewer’s favs* , wow! i actually skipped and procrastinated on reading this for a very, very long time. the title and synopsis didn’t interest me that much, BUT, BUT!! THERES SO MUCH MORE TO THIS THAN THE SYNOPSIS??? i ended up falling in love with the main characters and their story!! QAQ

the content of the novel, in my opinion, was amazing and consistent throughout the whole entirety of the novel. i didn’t feel tired reading this nor did i feel like skipping over any paragraphs. IT’S SO SO GOOD. it’s engaging, funny and suuuuper fluffy, so much dog food has been fed!! theres no dogblood drama, just cuteness, also a few social media arguing from the MC and ML’s lowkey doting.

i actually dunno how to describe their relationship? they knew each other since they were young and basically grew up together? but like they banter and bicker a lot, ever since they were babies. i guess they’re best frenemies? best friends from childhood who like to bicker a lot?? AND ITS SO MMMM??? ML is more indulging and doting(but lowkey-ly) towards the MC and like for some reason its so YES YES for me??? IDK HOW TO EXPLAIN IT BUT THIS NOVEL JUST MAKES ME HAPPY READING IT. THE DYNAMIC IS CHAOTIC AND CUTE.

i love MC’s personality, he’s an idol but he isn’t conservative or anything and would go full keyboard warrior mode if anyones insults him wrongly. he’s very self righteous and never loses sight of himself even after all the insults thrown at him. also?? hes such a cutie like AAAA??? i love him. as i said, ML is super doting and indulgent and so good and i?? THE MUTUAL PINING TOO?? MMMMM yes maybe i am a sucker for mutual pining and childhood friends but who isn’t?? i love this, and you should give this a try too.

the tl is top quality, the book is completely translated, the story is fun and entertaining , AND the main leads are super cute and lovable ?? WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!!!!!

Thanks for your list, it's great. I am now reading Dont Pick Up Boyfriends from tr*sh Bin. I usually don't really like QT, but this one is so good Maybe I can recommend you Seizing Dreams and Dinghai Fusheng Records. Both are amazing
