This inevitably pushes the ML into the Lazy!MC's orbit and changes the progression of things from then on.This is very much a poor-to-rich/weak-to-strong story with lots of farming and clan building elements. I was resistant to read this story for the longest time, but it ended up being my type of story! The pacing was perfect, the characters lovely and memorable, the setting fresh and unique, and the romance sweet! You might question your moral views a bit, cause the MC of this story doesn't have the most rounded 3 views (As a result of being from a zombie apocalypse), but don't take things too seriously! It's a fun and exciting work that I'm already looking forward to rereading in the future!(REREAD NOTE: 01/21/2023) I've just finished rereading, and my opinion of the novel is pretty much the same. I like it a lot and gave it a high rating because it has all the elements I like. It's a little silly, but there's lots of cooking, farming, clan-building, infrastructure building, etc., which are all things I enjoy in stories. If one were to compare this novel with a more serious work, you'll probably find that there are lots of things that are lacking. For example, the characters are a bit overly comical. But well, I really enjoyed the simplicity of ancient people. I think it was done pretty well, even if it was a bit exaggerated. The writing was also a little rough in some areas making certain parts look awkward. But it didn't harm the experience any, so I didn't mind it. Although the novel does have a bit of whimsy to it, the survival instances are very detailed, and the overall plot development is well-structured. As some people have said, the ending is a bit rushed. But it's not so rushed that it isn't satisfying. Summary: The MC (Su Zimo) has been stuck in his own paralyzed body for almost four years. During these four years, he's been tortured unimaginably by the fact that he was incapable of doing anything. Just when it was about the end, however, he finds himself waking up in a small shop called An Yu Yi Yu. This shop leads to a world called the Nightmare World --- which is a world where people from his world are being dragged into regularly to complete tasks. In order to get inventory for his shop, he has to visit all these worlds without the identity of a trainer (name for people doing tasks) and solve the mysteries along with everyone.

All in all, it's a really good read! I highly recommend it! The novel does indeed have its shortcomings, like the romance --- it really should be called 'Shounen Ai' because there's really not much progression even until the end. Not even a sign of the two being anything more than fond of each other. At least, not on the MC's end. So, if you're looking for romance, this novel definitely isn't the place to go! Otherwise, the TL is good so there should be nothing to stop you from reading now if you wanted. <<less

However, the story did kind of dragged at the end, so I ended up just making up an ending in my mind and leaving it at that. I didn't want to end up disliking this novel and mainly just wanted to enjoy what I already read, which is what follows:Summary: The MC is a transmigrator with a SYSTEM who was given the identity of a Bossy CEO. His task is to fight over the protagonist of a QT novel with all the other Tops. He doesn't find much of an issue with this, he's not an emotionally driven person (and that's an understatement), he just wants to get it over with so that he can continue living his life. Unfortunately, the expected ending would require his consciousness to die after being fused together with all the Tops. After finding out about this, he decides to work on obstructing the plot from developing --- and he does it in a very deliberate way, not hiding much of anything.The MC's lack of EQ (like, if I were to give a percentage, it would be 0% lol, maybe a negative number) makes the first half of the story pretty hilarious. But once the reverse harem starring him as the main target begins, it becomes a bit dogblooded. Too much drama for me! I was in for the lolols. Because of this, I stopped reading, but my opinion of the novel is still pretty high. I won't be doing a full review for this one, but my rating for it is 4.12/5 stars (primarily because it really was such a fun read at first)! The writing is great, the TL is even greater~ The characters were also very distinctive and had their own complex developments, even if their base foundations were kind of cliche (i mean, what character isn't cliche these days lolol!) If I had to say where the story was lacking, it would probably be in the actual romance department and the plot. When it comes to tone and pacing, it hit the right spot in the beginning, but by the end, it was a litttttle ehh. There's a reason for everything that the characters do. Although, in some cases, you don't get to find out why until the very end (so, if you're feeling impatient, I suggest giving this a pass until you're in a more suitable mood.)Summary: This is your typical quick transmigration novel, with just some slight adjustments. The MC, Xie He, hops from world to world with the mission of capturing a specific target. This is may be a bit of a spoiler, but let me just say that the ending for each arc is rather miserable. Here, the repetitive aspect is the abusive romance. In order to accomplish his goals sooner, the MC will always choose the most ruthless method of capturing his target -- which usually starts with first abusing himself, and then abusing the scum gong in question.Thoughts: For those that are softhearted, this novel really won't work out at all ... The best thing to do is read it with the mentality of abuse xD. You can't expect any romance or fluffy feelings. If you think of it as scum gong vs scum shou, it's pretty interesting. At least, you get to see the psychological activities of the main characters (the MC always embodies his host completely, so you'll truly get to see the POV of both sides). I found that interesting, and it was what kept me interested in the beginning.After a while, I began skipping and skimming arcs, but that was after I confirmed that the arcs were almost completely separate from the main storyline. Only the first 4 arcs, arguably, are important to understanding the ending plot. So, if you want to skip starting from there, it's perfectly fine, you won't miss much of anything. Which is the beauty of transmigration novels like this, I suppose XD You can pretty much pick and choose the adventure you want to see. Due to this, I didn't really read the entirety of the book (which is also why I'm not doing a full review, even if I ended up reading the ending arc). Upon which, I was able to finally enjoy some fluffy romance. SO, altogether, a satisfying read for me. As for whether or not it will work out for you, it really depends. I suggest giving it a shot and backing out early if you find that some of the themes are too much (because, honestly, they will only continue getting worse lol). Rating: 3.9/5If the story wasn't so repetitive, I would have rated it a little higher. In the end, I guess that's the disadvantage that contrasts the pros of separating the story arcs so clearly from the main storyline. It really feels a bit worthless to read the entirety of the story. The main premise is on exploring the golden finger. Basically, a poor-to-rich story! It's not the most organized, and you will definitely discover many areas where things appear a bit clumsy. Too many things happen as well, and most of it was convenient for the MC -- making this more of a shuangwen type of story (where the progress of the protagonists is relatively smooth). I don't think there's anything wrong with that though. I had fun, and that's enough for me! [Oh, and as for the translation, it's edited MTL, and starts off pretty rough. SUMMARY:

Historical (Ancient China) Fantasy. The MC, Qin Mian, transmigrates into a newly married boy with the same name as himself. This boy was pitted by a fortune teller and forced to marry the ignored and abused eldest son of the Lei family (aka the ML, Lei Tie!). Not long after transmigrating, MC decides that the best thing to do is to separate from the ML's troublesome family. Fortunately, his new husband likes to pamper his wife, and so the progress is relatively smooth.

The first few arcs of the novel is slice of life with strong "Get Rich" vibes. The MC takes advantage of modern knowledge and his golden finger (a magical space) to get rich ASAP. There's some family drama interspersed along the way, of course. After a while, there's the subject of raising a family, cultivation, life in the capital city, and a short trip to modern times.

Definitely has its flaws, but if you're interested in a Poor-to-Rich novel set in Ancient China (one that doesn't hesitate to give the MC some pretty OP golden fingers), then this is not a bad read for you. I suggest at least reading it once! <<less

But this time, I had no idea what to read, so I decided to pick randomly from my reading lists and start reading without looking at the summary and the reviews. SUMMARY:

The MC, Su Jingyang is just a normal man. He's a bit foolish and naive, but he means well most of the time. Unfortunately, his ignorance about pregnancy ends up causing him to be dragged into a tragic experience by a corrupted SYSTEM. Not only is he forced to have children endlessly, but he experiences constant humiliation on a regular basis to make it happen. There's nothing that can be done about it. At least, he got to choose the man who would be the father of his children, but it's pretty much the same as not choosing at all, since he was in so much of a rush that he didn't even take in his appearance. And so, the story proceeds, with the MC struggling to live in ancient times while being tormented by the corrupted system. In the process, he connects with a kindred spirit that will turn into a lifelong friend. And, of course, he'll end up meeting the ML, Ah-Yi/Rong Ci.

Although this novel is really not my kind of novel, I can't deny that it's pretty good. Worth reading, especially if you like angst and stuff. Saying this, it's almost like I'm saying the story is all tragedy xD. But it's actually pretty good about balancing the good and the bad. The theme of this story should be relationships. Specifically, how true love can result in disaster -- and how sometimes, things work out, and sometimes, they don't. The MC and the ML's struggle is just part of the story (the MC wants to go back to Modern Times and continues to resolutely pursue this goal till the end). There are also some subplots with other pairs, where the theme is explored. Anyway, what's important is that the main characters do come out of it happy in the end. <<less

[Zombie Apocalypse, Hoarding, Survival, Intrigue] (2nd reread, 03/13/2022): If this novel hadn't been one of the first Zombie Apocalypse Danmei novels that I read, I might not like it as much as I do. It has quite a few flaws (let's not talk about the rushed ending), both in terms of characterization and plot development. HOWEVER, there's no denying that it's very entertaining. Just for the sole fact that the novel starts of as 100% hoarding satisfies my inner hoarder quite a bit LMFAO (no, seriously, 25% of the written text is spent before the apocalypse begins -- which makes sense, as the MC is reborn a year beforehand.) Anyway, I think the novel... more>> is definitely worth the read, though I have to warn you that you shouldn't expect too much in terms of quality or complexity.

SUMMARY: The MC, Bai Jing, is the arrogant and reckless illegitimate son of the country's State Councillor. He had been raised by his stepmother and overly doting father with very obvious cannon fodder characteristics, leading him to suffer a lot in the apocalypse despite the support he was given by the ML (Xiao Sa), who was inexplicably obsessed with him and even gave up his life for him. After toughing out a couple of years as an experiment subject, Bai Jing dies and finds himself reborn one year before the apocalypse fully begins.

His goal in this life is to save Xiao Sa, the object of his obsession (the only one who treated him with genuine affection). In their previous life, the MC's spoiled and reckless behavior had caused Xiao Sa to die before they could really settle themselves down. In this life, the MC wishes to protect him in turn and repay his grace of life.

CHARACTERS: As a whole, I think that the characters are a bit inconsistent and overly chaotic. I mean, they're not good guys, and that's made very obvious from the very beginning. One can even say that the MC is especially reprehensible. A lot of his choices were really over the top. But there's a lot more focus on character development here than in most novels in the same genre, both for the main characters and the side characters. ALSO, I admit that the MC's character (which, as mentioned, is very similar to how most cannon fodder villains are portrayed) is quite novel. Without a doubt, he's very different from your typical protagonist.

Bai Jing (MC): After having suffered in his previous life, Bai Jing had no intention of getting entangled with anything unnecessary in this new life. He only cared about two things: surviving and Xiao Sa. Xiao Sa was his savior from his last life. Someone who willingly died for him. He wanted to be the one to protect Xiao Sa this time. And with his space ability and the year of pre-apocalypse planning he has been given, he manages.

Xiao Sa (ML): Cold and possessive. He was saved by Bai Jing and was enthralled by his looks. He really likes the MC's tr*shy young master act (which isn't an act at all, as Bai Jing is very over the top a lot of the time.) Anyway, Xiao Sa is wholly devoted to Bai Jing!

THOUGHTS: Great read! Despite my more negative remarks. I really enjoyed this read and reading it till the end made me want more. I got attached to the characters by the end, even if they were very unlikable at times. I was also hoping for a little bit more resolution T.T (the ending is definitely a bit too abrupt). But these are just mindless complaints. I enjoyed the setting a lot, and will definitely not hesitate to reread it in the future. The final rating would be around 3.85/5. Which is why I gave it four stars. This may be a bit high when you consider the quality of the novel, but I'm taking into account personal enjoyment (the hoarding at the very beginning was really fun XD) and bias (that's right, I'm very biased lmfao! This is one of the first CN Zombie Apocalypse novels that I read, and it's part of why I'm so obsessed with CN novels today. So my filter for it is pretty strong.) <<less

SUMMARY: The MC of this novel is called Shen Zhen. He's the oldest son of the current master of the Shen family. Overtime, Qin Yue, who had always loved the MC, began to distance himself from him. A rift was formed between them time and time again. Until, finally, the MC accidentally slept with someone and was forced away from the Qin family. Just like that, his life was over. He had no future, and before long, he died. The story officially starts at the moment of his rebirth. It's the day he had accidentally slept with someone. But this time, he chose not to leave the Qin family voluntarily. He stuck around, wanting to find a way to officially break off with everyone and establish himself. It's a surprise that he catches the interest of the master of the Qin Family, Qin Xing (the ML of the novel). From then on, his destiny completely changed.

In the original novel, the original owner of the body had been a cannon fodder who tried to get the protagonist (who is also the ML, Yan Heqing) to join his harem. He wasn't a good emperor, and his ending was a bad one. The MC kind of acts arbitrarily after transmigration. Basically, he thinks it's all a play and constantly involves himself, both accidentally and purposefully, to change the plot. He didn't really have a goal outside of surviving at first, and the story proceeds to be easy going and care free for a while. However, in the end, reality comes knocking, making him realize that he was walking to an even more tragic journey than the original owner.ANYWAY … If you like abusive romance, then this is not a bad read? XD It sounds horrible when put that way, but it's true. It's the kind of story that's both frustrating and heartbreaking. Making you want to tear down the script (and the author while you're at it) at the pure abuse, all while reading obsessively to find out how it ends. Like this, I guess you can say that the story is quite good at keeping the reader's engaged, even if the content may not necessarily be the best. In my old review, I gave it a 3/5 rating. I've decided to adjust it to a 3.65/5. Just enough to round up to four stars. I think it's worth it. Even if it's not my kind of read (I don't usually like abusive stories).  <<less

The first time around, I refused to read it for a while because it was unfinished and I was worried that i would be left hanging lolol. Good thing I waited since the ending is really rushed!!! Anyway, this novel is a lot of frustrating kind of fun XD. By that I mean ... While the tone of the novel can be said to be very light, it's actually not the easy-progress type of novel. From the very beginning, the MC and ML make a lot of mistakes (it can be said that every choice they made was... more>> the wrong one xD). However, these mistakes led them to a surprisingly smoother path forward. It's just that they have to suffer a bit to get there. ALL in all! I enjoyed it quite a bit, the feeling is very different from your typical novel.

SUMMARY: The MC, Fang He, had faced the apocalypse as an 8yo with a regenerative ability. Such an eye-catching power ... of course he was inevitably sent to be experimented T.T And he stayed in the laboratories for a full 13 years before finally escaping. Only, the escape was fruitless. In the end, he died and was reborn several dies before the start of the apocalypse. Well, it should be said that his soul had transmigrated over to a parallel universe. And, as for the original owner of his body, it's a newly weaned-off kitten!!

Said kitting was picked up by the ML, Li Zhen, who has a cold exterior but soft heart that just so happened to love little animals xD. From then on, their fate is tied, and, after hitting several roadblocks, one zombie and one cat fight against the apocalypse together.

I recommend it if you're looking for something fun and silly to read. It does have its dark moments, but it's mostly self-indulgent -- playing with the familiar tropes of novels of this type. It took itself seriously in the first half but gradually loses stability in the latter half. Still, the first part is worth reading! Even if it is a bit weird because the MC is a kitty for most of the story. And not just any kitty, but a kitty with a fairly young mind, no matter how old he was when he was reborn. <<less

Here, the MC is the Demon King of the lower-realm. The main setting is Western Fantasy, so there are mages, paladins, barbs, demons, etc. along with regular humans. When the MC was dropped into the role of demon king, it's without any of the original's memories. Oh, and the lower realm is also facing a large debt after losing a war against the Church and the Human Empires. Fortunately, the MC has a golden finger! This golden finger is his cellphone, which can be recharged and is always connected to the internet --... more>> giving the MC direct access to the modern world's technologies and knowledge.

Ahhhh I love this kind of worldbuilding novel~ And this one is fun because it takes lots of culture and knowledge from all over the world. To begin with, there are lots of movie and anime references (as well as novel references), and the author is always throwing out shocking, obscure facts by way of humorous exposition (the MC is very humorous in general). The only downside is that the development of characters and relationships is not a focus. There are great characters in the novels -- all of whom play their own roles sooner or later -- but they're most self-aware than most, so they don't have to go through too much polishing. The MC is also mainly focused on developing the lower realms with modern culture, so the perspective is definitely skewed.

Overall, I recommend this novel if you're interested in infrastructure or poor-to-rich development, as I like to call it. The translation is of good quality, so there's no reason not to read it! It's also almost complete too (which is why I started reading it in the first place, hehe.)(Update: 12/26/2022) I reread the first 80 chapters and then skipped to where I was before (c182). I can see why I stopped now. I enjoyed the first half of the story because it felt very whimsical. The focus is infrastructure and stuff. But later, the novel began to take itself VERY seriously DX Like soooo seriously that I couldn't keep reading. Gah. It would be fine if the characters were up to standard, but as fun as these characters were, they really weren't all that complex and inviting. So yeah. Beware of this little factoid if you want to finish the whole story!Having finished my second reread, I directly want to change the rating to 3.5/5!! This is very much like your typical 'modern man transmigrates into ancient times to make money' novel. It's just ... hm. It's just a little more chill than the usual ones! Here, the MC, Zhang Ziqi, finds himself transmigrating into the body of a young Ger (this is a world without females, just males and males who can't give birth -- called Gers) who had been sold off by his guardians to become the wife of the village's fool (the ML, Zhao Zheng'an). After marriage, nevermind having the support of his husband's new family, they were quickly separated and forced... more>> to live in the old ancestral home at the edge of the village with only one tael of silver and three acres of farmland to start off with.

Of course, as a "poor-to-rich" novel, this start doesn't stump the MC at all. He makes use of modern knowledge and his above-average cooking skills in order to make a living (that's right, cooking. There's not much actual farming in this novel). The novel is short and relatively simple, not bad to read if you have spare time, but it's not all that exciting either. There's nothing too special about it, which is both its good and bad point. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that it wouldn't hurt to try it out, just don't have too high expectations!

The first time I read it, I only read up to c68 and rated it at 3.5/5 stars. This time, I read a little more, making it all the way to c82. Still not quite to the end, and there were times I almost gave up at the same point as last time XD But, altogether, it's not a bad experience. I changed the rating to 3.4/5 stars. Not because I thought the experience was worse than before, but because my rating scale changed since the last time, and this is more fitting. <<less

I admit that the novel is a bit too whimsical, and is in fact quite flawed, but I have some fondness for it because it's the first CN Zombie Apocalypse novel that I read LMFAO. As I'll mention again later on, this novel is more plot-driven than character driven. SUMMARY: The MC of this novel, Su Ruize, is your typical reborn protagonist -- he has a magical space and with the foreknowledge of the upcoming apocalypse, he's given the opportunity to hoard materials and gather a team before everything went to shit. What's extra about him is that he also has wood abilities. These wood abilities will require that you subvert your disbelief quite a bit, since it enables him to weaponize plants lolol. In any case, with such a cheat, he pretty much powers his way through the apocalypse along with the ML, Zhan Yun, who was an almost-lover in his first life that he had regretted leaving behind.

CHARACTERS: The characters in this story are a bit boring. They had potential, but because the story is more plot-focused, they’re really mostly there for effect and to look cool.

Su Ruizhe (MC) is a typical Gary Stue. He has a power space ability as well as a wood ability that allows him to turn plants into weapons. His personality is usually a mix of shy and timid. But, there are odd key moments where he becomes OOC.

Zhan Yan (ML) is your typical possessive ML. He has a strong oppressive ability and is the leader of their group. His personality is pretty consistent but lacks depth.

THOUGHTS: As a plot-driven story, it shines most in this regard.. I found the worldbuilding here quite amusing (especially the first time I read it.) The MC's abilities are definitely of broken, but well, it's quite fun regardless. Of course, as is common with other zombie apocalypse novels, the zombies and humans both are able to mutate and evolve here. Outside of that, I really love the survival elements. Those are definitely my fav parts of the story. The novel starts a month before the apocalypse and prepping for the end was fun. I think the story shined most in the beginning actually, because of these survival elements. Later on, the story grew more grand scale, and all the fun little things explored early on kind of became unnecessary. The pacing of the story is just a bit too fast, I suppose. Not much romance here btw. The main characters get together pretty quickly, tho that’s mostly background stuff. ALL IN ALL, I think it's worth reading for the fun of it. It's definitely the best in quality, which is why I'm only giving it a 3.2/5 rating, but its uniqueness makes it quite a novelty.  <<less

It's fine if you're interested in plot-driven short stories where the MC is super dense and the ML makes appearances in various Yandere forms. That sounds a bit bad, but I know that it's pretty fun to read tr*shy novels like this when one is in the mood for it. Summary: The MC of this novel is an author facing writer's block. One day, he finds a system inside of his head urging him to start hopping from world to world (the world of his novels) in order to ensure that the protagonist achieves his destined ending. This sounds pretty interesting in theory, but the MC becomes a completely passive observer in both the arcs I've read. His only contribution to moving the plot along is subconsciously seducing the ML, while completely being unaware of it LMAO.

Thoughts: If the MC participated in the progression of the plot a bit more, I think I would have found the story more interesting. As it was, he really does practically nothing. Although he has free reign so long as the ML gets his destined ending, he doesn't try to make use of his knowledge to ease the progress. He just goes along with it all. Making the whole quick transmigration experience seem utterly pointless in my eyes. I'm the kind of person that dislike passive MCs like this. I enjoy character-driven novels where the characters are actively driving the story forward. So yeah. It ended up not being my kind of story. However, if you enjoy plot-driven stories and just want to indulge in experiencing multiple worlds in the POVs of the same characters, this is not a bad read. So, it all depends on what you like!

Summary: The MC, Song Huai, is a boy from a world gone interstellar. He woke up after receiving a blow to his head and discovers that his whole life had actually been based on a book. A book where he's nothing but cannon fodder that pushes the original CP together. His end is rather miserable as well. He dies at the hand of the man he pursued ever since he was a child, and was never able to even get a smidgen of his liking or respect. Anyway, since he doesn't want to repeat the life he lived in said book, the MC decided to go a different route entirely. He starts avoiding his long-time crush and accepts the engagement he had with said long-time crush's uncle, the ML, Lu Mian. From then on, what happens is a cliche love drama between two awkward people who struggle to communicate, but manage to make it to the end because of existing entanglements. <<less

2.45/5!!! [Quick Transmigration, Slice of Life, Cat-Lover] This novel summary and title is very misleading. Rather than its current name, it should be titled something... more>> like: "Transmigrating into my own novels to pet cats" XD. That's pretty much the whole story. It's a very laid-back kind of novel where the MC is mainly indifferent and just wants to live life as he pleases (which is with a cat around his person, for the most part.) If you're looking for that kind of simple and cat-filled story, this isn't too bad to spent some time on. Unfortunately, I'm not a cat-lover, and I don't really like the passivity of the MC (who transmigrated for no reason -- he pretty much just sticks to the ML constantly, not really intending to do anything but watch.) To make things a little clearer, here's a brief summary...Summary: The MC is an author that is popular for writing satisfying face-slapping novels with horrible endings. After finishing his most recent work, the hatred on his person suddenly broke world boundaries, and he was forced to transmigrate into his works to witness the chaos that he had caused. This would have been a rather interesting premise (you know, fighting against fate for a better ending). However, from the very beginning, the System told him that he couldn't do anything to change the end. It was very certain of this. And yet ... by interacting with the ML, the MC appears to have easily changed the plot.Thoughts: The fluff factor is not bad. It's pretty cute, and if you like cats,  you'll probably find it both charming and amusing. The transmigration aspect is pretty much of non-importance, however. It's just a convenient way for the MC to world-hop. The summary states that the MC is supposed to clean up his mess, but since the System says he can't change anything, he really doesn't do anything. Causing him to be passive to the point of being boring. I suggest that you just ignore the transmigration plot and enjoy the fluffy aspects of the novel XD. This is my second time reading this, and though I was better prepared, I still ended up getting led along by my expectations. The first time I read this, I made it c8. Now, it's further at c24. As for the premise of this novel... what's unique here is that the MC is fully aware of what's going on. He was coerced into doing it, like your typical QT novel, but from the start, everything had a somewhat logical (even if the method of doing so was a bit fantastical) reasoning. The ML in a coma because his consciousness, or his soul, rather, had been lost to other dimensions. In order to get him back, they found someone who was able to travel through dimensions to find him. The MC, who just so happened to be a transmigrator, or more like a fully conscious reincarnator (he can remember his past life) was the best choice.

OH, and the romance! Well, it's not really very romantic. The MC is very apathetic and the ML doesn't have much of a personality. As mentioned, he's a bit of a "toolman". XD I won't be giving the novel a rating because I didn't get to read even half of it. But as for the basic range, it would probably be somewhere from 3 stars to 3.45 stars. <<less

???/5!!! [Romance, Slice of Life, Modern Day, Drama] This novel is very much like your typical melodrama. You know, the kind where the MC (usually a heroine) is stubborn and has a kind heart. And, for one reason or another, they get entangled with the ML -- who usually holds unfathomable inner pain because of a mysterious background. The entanglement usually involves a force marriage (like the case here) or a fake dating agreement (also like the case here) LMFAO. AKA, some contrived reason to force a plain Jane MC to interact regularly with a handsome ML with great achievements. Of course, due to the disparity in their standings and the ML's cold persona, the... more>> MC has to suffer a lot in the beginning, facing lots of rejection and having to grit their teeth through countless misunderstandings. After a while, the ML's cold facade will slowly melt because of the MC's persistent optimism, and will slowly fall for the MC because of her gentleness and uniqueness. etc. etc. JKFSJLASF It's a very common script, is what I'm trying to say. Very cliche, as a lot of the reviewers, would agree.

Of course, that doesn't mean that it's necessarily a bad read. There's a reason those teledramas are so popular, after all XD. I'm just not into romance novels of this style, I saw too much of it (I swear, all of the teledramas I watched as a kid were like this.) I might want to read this another time when I'm looking for something simple (I doubt it, but you never know). Anyway, for now, I'm leaving the rest of it unread. <<less

[Zombie Apocalypse, Xuanhuan, Adventure] (2nd Reread Update) : I seemed to have liked this novel a lot during my first read, but it's plot-driven style is not really suitable for a reread (it's not as exciting when you know what's going to happen LMAO). The characters are not that special either. The MC is very indifferent and the ML is simply a cute and (later) sexy accessory most of the time XD. What's notable is that the Plot is of this novel is from the usual Zombie Apocalypse novel. Not only because the MC is a Zombie (and he's also a Gong!MC! Which is rare LOL), but also because he wasn't the person that... more>> was reborn with memories of the previous apocalypse.

SUMMARY: In any case, the MC (Ye Tianyi) awakens after being pushed into the zombies by his reborn cousin (who decided that killing off the strongest human at the end times was worth him getting his hand on the MC's space/farming golden finger.) As a threefold ability zombie with a hazy memories of the past, he's strong from the start and has no scruples about killing people in order to grow stronger. When he finally retrieves his consciousness, his primary goal is to get his revenge. But his ultimate mission in life is to grow stronger and survive with his Little Leaf (Mutant Beast ML that can transform into a human.)

My first rating for this novel was 3.5/5. So it's kind of amazing how much things changed XD. In any case, I don't think this is a bad read! Despite my low rating for it, I still had a lot of fun the first time I read it. And this time around, I still completed it (I mean, it's short and pretty interesting, so yeh!) The thing I enjoyed most is the difference in perspective. I read a lot of Zombie Apocalypse novels. And this was my first with a zombie as an MC! The differences between the two were really fascinating! I recommend it for that reason~ <<less
