Qiao Chen was mysteriously transmigrated to the interstellar era. As an adult from his original world, he was forced to grow up all over again in this new one. First off, I’ve read and enjoyed several stories of this genre (Quickly Wear Face of the Devil, The Reader and Protagonist Have to be in True Love, and etc...) and have even re-read a few of them because I’m such a fan. However, this story might have the major elements of those stories but none of the heart which makes those stories great. In fact, there are several aspects of this story that are ethically problematic and made me uncomfortable:

  • Dubious s*xual consent
  • MC has OP god-like powers which he uses to tamper with people’s subconscious minds to manipulate them
As a fan of the genre I am still willing to overlook these two points, but frankly, I don’t like the MC or ML enough to do so. These two points occur almost... more>> immediately at the start of the story and the character are described like cartoonish stereotypes rather than believable people.

Wish the translator/s luck with this one, but it is a definite miss for me. <<less

I was hesitating giving this novel a shot after reading all the 1-2 star reviews but, alas, the 5 star reviews gave me hope. That hope gradually evaporated as I read. Now, initially my impression of the novel was very neutral - that changed as soon as the ML was introduced. The speed in which their relationship progressed isn't just unrealistic, it's painfully unrealistic. To the point where you'd think the MC fed him a love potion or something, it's just that crazy. The ML is supposed be this ultra... more>> handsome, dream guy who has all sorts of women and men alike pursuing him but one look at MC and it's "let me help you win the inheritance battle?".

Now, honestly, I'm not that hard to please. Things don't need to be completely realistic for me to be content, and honestly I didn't harbor such expectations to begin with! But please, so help me god, let there be SOME character development. I don't think characters can get much more two-dimensional than this. Not a single character here isn't a walking stereotype, it's like everyone - with the exception of maybe the MC - are just cardboard cutouts.

World-hopping revenge type stories are usually pretty two-dimensional but this one really takes the cake. <<less

One of my favorite stories with transmigrating into many different world.

This story is very satisfying and sets up each world very well. You would feel indignant with the treatment of the original characters and a major sense of satisfaction when the MC takes revenge on the people that wronged them. The characterisation is very solid and consistent. Love the interaction between the MC and ML and their relationship. The ML also has easily identifiable traits that he carries through the different worlds so you KNOW that it's the same person... more>> whereas some other stories that I have read where the ML are supposedly one person but you really don't see it.

The plot also doesn't fall behind and there are many different ways that the smart MC plans his revenge. There are many worlds and relatively short for each world so the pacing is nicely done. I usually don't find myself getting bored.

All in all, it is a wonderful read, one of my favorites and would definitely recommend it to others, especially if you like these types of stories where the MC goes to different worlds and take revenge like QWTFD and such. <<less

The MC arrives for a mission and ML took an interest in him (kinda cliche but okay this is common)

ML took MC to his mansion against his will but MC reluctantly agrees cause he needs the damn ML for the mission!

ML tries to have s*x with MC and MC still reluctantly agrees

and the s*x isn't even at the end of the arc or the middle the arc. IT'S LITERALLY RIGHT AT THE STARTING CHAPTERS

and unsurprisingly MC started to have some sort of feelings for the ML cause he felt it's good to have someone to look after you or standing up for you or some shit. AND THAT'S ONE THE VERY NEXT CHAPTER! (／‵Д′) ／~ ╧╧

I already read this until finish with MTL. I don't know if it's only me or the story really similar to Quickly wear the face of the devil (FOD) ? Even some of the ML name in the story is same e.g: Du Zinan, Wei Zennan. Moreover the plot is similar too (in FOD, the MC mission is to destroy a supercomputer and save ML who is only a program. In here it's to save ML soul).

But, in the end I still like a story plot like this, so I'll be happy as long as it's a good story and this story also has it's own traits.

I cannot express how frustrated I am over the life where are the main character‘s mom left him as a baby.

His mom is a male/gher in this specific life

So his mom was forced into a marriage with someone he didn’t love, forced to have a baby, and forced to stay while his lover had to watch helplessly from the side lines. When the husband unexpectedly died his mom was allowed to leave the household and marriage

He chose to leave behind his baby (the MC) and marry his lover (Who he... more>> was with before he was forced into the marriage). This happened within a year of the MC‘s father‘s death, which scarred the MC for a long time. He lost his mother and father within a year.

The mother had all the right to leave but he did not have the right to come back when the MC was an adult and try to fix the relationship. The MC had grown-up without parents by that time, so why come back?

He chose to leave and decided to come back when he was ready?! Did he think about the MC‘s feelings at all?! He had all the right to leave but he had no right to come back! He was unhappy and chose to abandon his son.

He quite literally gave up his son for his lover, i’m OK with him making that choice but he needs to stick with it. He doesn’t get to decide to just come back now that he is ready to be a part of his child’s life. To late he made his choice. <<less

The ML destroyed the story, this author just can't seem to write respectful ML. The MC is very good. And considering other novels of the author I honestly didn't hope for intricate story anyway, just the ML ruins it all. Purely obsessive, will not listen to reason, very one-sided and didn't respect the MC at all. Everything he says goes. The MC just can't make any choice of his own at all and he ends up compromising every time. He's borderline r*pey. Almost every first time are non-con or dub... more>> con.

The best work of this author is Turn on the Love System. I recommend that one.

Anyway I just want to applaud the translator of this novel. Really done a good job translating and sticking up to this novel. <<less

Hello everyone, I just had to write a review because of some misunderstanding~

First of all, I've read some chapters (quite a lot if I've to say) before I read the review for this book when I want to rate this novel.

I've read around 4/5/so reviews for this novel which say about how MC's mother abandoned his child / how the plot is so fast, how ML f*ck MC just after a few lines), etc.

And so.... I hope you guys give it a go first before reading the reviews for the... more>> novel in order for you guys to have your own opinion and not be accidentally influenced by other's review.

(And I believed you've read this book reviews cause you've found my review 😅)

This suggestion I give because of my experience, when I love a novel and have read until nearly the end, then read negative review about the end of the novel which sound very disappointing, I'm wavered and still try to read a few chaps which become even more and more like what the review said.

And then, because of whatever reason I once have, I decide to pause the reading and read other book~

In this other book by the same translator, the translator mentioned about the happy ending of this book which made me wavered again, and decided to continue. In the end, I'm superrrr satisfied with the ending~!

Which is to say, everyone have their own opinion and how they perceive things. So, don't be sway and believe in your opinion!

Don't be angry tho in case you've the same opinion as the writer of the negative review's opinion~

And also, here's a suggestion for all novel's readers in the world~

Don't forget to read author's thought & translator's thought

Cause there can be explanation for the things you question in the story (for example: MC's mom in arc 2's case (about MC's mom abandoned MC) in Author's note in the end of the arc 2 chapter 3!)

Don't let some of these negative review fool you. The reason for them is because the first arc is really poorly written. Like really bad. But every arc after gets better and better. The first arc is poorly written, the dialogue is shaky, and plot is only okay, the face slapping was good tho. If all the arcs is the same as the first arc I would rate it 3.0/5.

But the author gets better by leaps and bounds every arc. Second arc was much better written, the plot was really... more>> cute. The dialogue was still shaky. The face slapping was great tho. Third arc on, the writing is so much better. If the book started at arc 3's writing level, this would be a 4.5/5 book. There are good plots and great face slapping and reasonably good dog food. The dialogue also gets much better. The first two arc, the dialogues were so awkward and painful, lol. <<less

This is a really good novel and I like the plot alot. The only problem is that the author (not the translator) like to try different types of 'courting' the MC. They have romanticized r*pe more than once and tried to incorporate bd*m without doing much, if any, research on the topic. That is just not something that people should do or support.

Honestly this is a generic bl world hopping novel with an op MC and op ML that solves most of MC's problems. The villains are one dimensional, but you can't deny some of the revenge plots can satisfy your revenge boner. There was one arc that are super sus.... more>>

We know the ML is posseive and r*pey, but in one of the arcs he forces the MC to quit being a general. MC was highly qualified, but ML was scared that he will die. Like bro you are a general too and we both know the MC is a capable person. It's like a toxic relationship where the significant other prevents you from having a life and controls what you do. There were some cringy attempt at trying to write some BD*M scenes. Other than that arc, the others follow the typical MC is framed or dealt with a bad hand, but ML is somehow super OP person in that world and help him deal with the villains. The ML is super r*pey too so if that's a dealbreaker then this isn't recommended to read.

If you are bored and ran out of QT world hopping with OP MC to read then this might be for you. It's not a life changing novel, but it's like those reality TV you watch for fun. Don't use your brain cells when reading, just turn it off and enjoy the sus drama. <<less

Very boring revenge on the 1st world. All MC has to do is use mind manipulation & revenge is done.

It's also very unappealing to read several scenarios where MC just kept on using his system to do something (cooking, gambling, golf, feigning drunk etc). He basically doesn't need to anything because system got him covered.

ML immediately fell in love with him. 2nd meeting & they immediately had s*x. Very cliche, very unappealing at this point.

Author should have added some limitations to what the system can do. Because MC know that the system can do things for him, he basically doesn't give effort, he doesn't need to do anything. Can't see much development with this kind of settings. <<less

Dropped this pretty quick, reading this gave me a headache

I've read most of the novels here, unless they have a below 3* rating, I've touch them.

This novel is not good, and it's not because of dubious s*xual content or the Mpreg world in arc 2.

There's no plot development at all. I know quickwear novels have a OP MCs and I don't mind. What I do mind is the writing style of the plot development, every paragraph is like briefly describing a scene/frame of the plot then moving on. There's no 'breathing space' between the key scenes and makes the reader feel very 'tired' even reading a chapter.

Secondly,

It's very flat, the people are flat the world is flat. Novels are ways for readers to immerse themselves and continue reading every chapter. The novel makes me feel like I'm dropping in a white void with paper people and buildings surround me. I don't need it to be realistic or have a sense of realism. But just have a minimum sense of 3D-ness.

I picked this up because of the good reviews and nice cover art. This is the first novel I felt the need to write a review stating how negative I feel about it.

Although there's only c23 now, the chapters are really long. Usually I love it but not this. <<less

The novel started strangely but I am sure that it will have a meaning in the end. The MC is geat and the ML is awesome ? A overbearing perv ? Well you cant be sure until you check the system's options, right ?!

Great read ! Great translation !

(Next day: I just ended the novel and I already miss it ! The MC and ML interactions were really great ! But it's a shame that the ending was too defintive and the novel too short ! 103 chapters... more>> = not enough ! I will start another novel from the same author: Cannon Fodder Cheat System). <<less

TLDR: The writing and translation are both top notch, very readable and engaging. Everything else is just bottom of the barrel. The characters don't even qualify as one dimensional, they are nothing more than points. They are where they are. The storytelling is rendered meaningless by the sheer godlike power the MC has. The comeuppances are boring and predictable. The antagonists are laughably OP and simultaneously ridiculously inept before the MC

Bottom Line: I read the first arc, then had no interest to continue

So yeah, this is readable especially cus the translator did their best. But on the premise that you know you're gonna end up comparing it to other works, then you better just drop the idea of reading this.

I read all the arcs despite all the trigger warnings (I wasn't triggered tho, maybe my soul and morals already burning in hell help >w<), but honestly, almost all the chapters were dubcon.

arc 1 they just f*cking met for the 2nd time and they already having s*x 🙄 the ML was all pushy and shit. The MC was explained as a tsundere which you'll see as you read but when the first thing you fricking read is the MC and ML having s*x on their 2nd meeting all I love you already it all ends up with you going "what the hell am I reading?"

  • How did his soul get split off (I know he got injured in some battle but what caused it and how tf did it go to othe worlds) ?
  • How did the MC even transmigrate in the first place? What was the strange dimension or something that s**ked his soul into his current body?

It’s passable? I like the translator but the novel is not that great.

The villains are very cliche. You can tell they are the villain by all the typical villain things they do. They don’t have any other character traits except cannon fodder.

The MC is super duper OP, he can change the magnetic fields and became one of the X-men with a snap of his fingers.

The ML falls in love pretty fast and in a weird way? Love at first smile basically. Some people might be into that, so whatever floats... more>> your boat.

In QT novels I usually have 2-3 most favorite words I love and reread, but with this novel I can’t remember any unless it was recent.

Короче, единственная причина по которой я продолжила читать эту новеллу, это фамилия семе: Андрей. Я думаю, всё Андрюхааа зашибись. Нихера не зашибись, я потом вообще забыла что он Андрюха. И новелла не очень. Все что читала уже забыла, персонажи картонные, главные герои на троечку. Иногда когда читала чувствовала как у меня разлагается мозг, а иногда просто закатывала глаза.

it was an ancient china arc and the ML is a general. During the hunting festival the ML tried to literally force himself on MC. He always does this to MC but MC was always kinda ok with that so brainwashed myself to think its ok. But this wth. Now in a cave the ML tried to r*pe MC and the MC was STRUGGLING because of a reason (I don't want to spoil) but the ML WAS NOT HAVING IT. He stopped it only when he heard footsteps outside the cave *sigh

It was really hard to read that. I was so uncomfortable whenever the author tried to write something 'romantic'. This is so common Chinese novels that the ML is ALWAYS a s*x monster and making r*pe common.

I'm so fed up with this.

I really don't have many things to say I'm just giving a review because I'm thankful for the translator! They really put a hard work and good translation. This novel has many plot holes but still a good ride sometimes you will dislike the ML in other worlds but the revenge of the MC is still satisfying so it's okay. The MC is op because of the system but sometimes he will do everything by himself if it's still in his level he used the system as an assistance for... more>> his missions and goals. The only flawed of the MC is his so submissive to the ML I want to see him once being a Dom but well. There are things that left unexplained in the end of the series but it's still okay if you just really didn't mind but that is the most I'm disappointed. I rate it high because it made me finished it until the end cause I'm someone who will leave halfway through the series so I'm a bit surprised I finished it in one go.
