The MC transmigrates into a an apocalyptic novel, a zombie outbreak is imminent but since she knows about it, she prepares a lot to survive for a while. She is not interested in escaping and fighting for her life, she simply wants to eat and drink comfortably and plans to die a comfortable death (su*cide) if her supplies run out or if she encounters zombies. It's practically them two against the world which, of course, creates a really special bond between them.

It's not the standard action oriented apocalyptic novel; of course there are action elements, but it's not the focal point and there are no OP characters, although the ML is really strong and resourceful. It's primarily a slice of life with many seemingly mundane moments, but that made it somewhat realistic. There are a lot of ups and downs, it made me laugh, cry and honestly made me think about a lot. The ML is the MVP of the story and has, let's just say, an unusual past and special circumstances. So for a long time we are left wondering what that is all about which adds another factor that keeps the interest. The romance takes some time to develop and does so realistically, so I won't complain.

It has less than 60 chapters but they aren't short, it took longer than expected to finish. I read the rest of the novel through mtl and didn't have a lot of difficulty understanding it. Some parts may seem a little boring but that's just the slice of life aspect of it, it was enjoyable and unique (the origin of the "zombie outbreak" surprised me as well as the fact that there even was a realistic origin), I will definitively be thinking about it for some time.

It was a refreshing read. The MC is capable and hard-working, but she, as a woman in that era, had a lot of limits and suffered a lot. She doesn't seem to long for love, she has a goal and does what she can to achieve it. Along the way she suffers and finds love unexpectedly. She struggles a lot at home and has to be calculating to not suffer too much at the hands of her family, her bad treatment is not obvious in the way that she gets physically abused or things of that nature, but she gets excluded and mistreated in other ways, she does not truly have a family and feels... more>> lonely (which the ML changes later on ;)). Because of the ML there are some political themes and there is also some palace intrigue, but it is not the focal point, at least not in the majority of the story.

There is romance, but, while there are some romantic moments sprinkled through the story, (spoiler?) she only really falls in love with him some time after they get married or rather she notices/accepts it at that time. The reason she marries him are not really romantic and at the start it left me feeling a little bitter, but I completely understand why she does what she does and I respect her reasons as a person in that position in that era. He knew about her reasons as well. She is a product of her experience so the slow paced romance and her reluctant/distant attitude which she mostly sheds in the end but not completely, is really realistic. 

The ML has some flaws but he is actually so respectful and loving to our MC, he dotes on her so much and treats her as an equal, everyone that sees their interactions gets flabbergasted and envious, they got me giggling and blushing.

All in all it's a well rounded story, never really boring (some things made me so nervous my heart palpitated) and shows you how two people who only ever planned to achieve their goals and never thought they would find love or true happiness, found each other, opened their heart to each other and got to be together after some hurdles :)

I liked it. The MC is refreshing, she isn't overly nice/naive, she's strong but no Mary Sue. The romance is cute and has a realistic buildup, there's no love triangle or big misunderstandings. They are secure in their relationship, respect and support eachother. There's also the found family trope and a lot of realistic situations, reflecting the joys and tragedies of life and the world. This is a story containing cultivation, sects and demons and although that plays a central role in it, this is not a story about ascending through cultivation.... more>>

vague spoilers about the ending: You can say that it is a good ending, although my idealistic, happy end loving self would have preferred a more unrealistic ending where everyone can stay forever together.

I really liked this, it's funny, cute and fresh but also made me cry a little. I had to read the last half MTL so some things were confusing but I enjoyed it nevertheless. The FL and ML are both likeable and cute together, I just wish it were a little longer since I liked their romantic moments and wanted to see more of them. Our MC is a princess who lost her country, parents and brother and has to marry the crown prince of the country that subjugated her home country. The crown prince was not directly involved, the one responsible for her country's downfall is the brother of the prince, our MC's childhood friend. As this childhood friend and the crown prince compete for the throne, MC supports the crown prince to get revenge on the childhood friend. The romance is not exactly smooth sailing as the crown prince is a peculiar character and our MC is traumatized and deeply saddened by the recent loss of her family and country (there is a lot of crying which may be annoying to some, but I always found it apprpriate regarding her circumstances, especially since she is mentally strong and enduring regardless of her emotions) and since he is the prince of the enemy country and the son of the emperor she deeply hates, there's a big conflict between her responsibility as a princess of her country and love.

While there is politics and intrigue involved, it's not too intricate, I feel like the biggest focus are her circumstances, her relationship with the crown prince and both of their mental/ emotional states.

This is a very casual, relatively romantic and serene novel without much drama or face slapping. If you want to read something with lower stakes and non-stress inducing, but still relatively exciting, this is for you. The ML is the absolute best! It's just that our MC is 14 for most of the novel (the ML is 18/19) which was a bit uncomfortable at times, in my head I just pretended that she was older. The dramatic events that did occur were mostly related to one person throughout the story, which could get a little boring/ repetitive but it wasn't too bad, although not as elaborate as most other c-novel intrigue / schemes. ... more>>

All in all I'd recommend it if you're interested in more slice-of-lifey / minimal drama novels with a cute and healthy romance. <<less

This is a short novel about a childhood sweetheart-esque romance between the emperor and an imperial physician. It's really short so things don't feel as fleshed out and of course there is not a huge quantity of romantic moments but it's short and sweet. Interesting twist

The dynamic is very interesting and uncommon, our MC is dominant in the relationship with the ML (he is not completely submissive though, he can be dominant or submissive depending on the situation) plus he is an Eunuch. As the title imples, this story seems to revolve heavily around the ML since he is what our MC's world revolves around. The novel was generally good, but sometimes that aspect bothered me a bit, as well as the fact that it's only the ML that gets pleasured and never the MC.  I liked the somewhat cold and unbothered character of our MC and the fact that she's physically strong and adept at fighting, saving the ML,... more>> instead of the other way around.
