Completely second that the female lead knows what she wants and won't settle for less: she even says (something along the lines of) "If it was just this weak kind of love (with lots of concubines in the harem) then I don't need it." and "maybe he loved me a little, but I need a lot of love". It's not shoved into your face, but you can still tell that our FL isn't going to settle. Very refreshing.

This story was quite funny, especially with the female lead bickering with her adopted brother.

Although the female lead is a quack physician (like almost all the other physicians in the imperial palace), everything seems to be going her way. But what she doesn't know, is that she's not the only one who has been duping people...

I like it because of its simplicity. Historical novels tend to be dramatic with lots of face-slapping so this was such a breath of fresh air. It's indeed short tho, I feel like a little stretch could've make this even better.

A cute, no struggle/revenge plot about a imperial doctor who has the reputation of a famous and talented doctor but in reality, she has no skills whatsoever. Love between the emperor and said doctor~

short but good story, FL is an adorable, naive and a little bit slow. Love the ending, after decades, poor FL was known as jelaous empress as she is become the one and only master of emperor harem. Love their silly and cute interaction between FL nad ML.

Tis lighthearted, and a decent read, especially since it is only 7 chapters.

It doesn't give you the 'can't put this book down' feeling, and the characters are not too likeable, but they aren't extremely annoying either. For a short read, it's above average, in my opinion.

This was an entertaining read, notable for its lack of politics/intrigue/backstabbing/revenge/angst/drama. Nice to read when you just want something lighter - the FL's monologue and observation is pretty hilarious.

The Female lead is an imperial physician who didn't have any knowledge at medicine but memorize/knows books and some sick (Mark the sarcasm). While the Male lead is an Emperor.

In short words, it's not really realistic, but it's still a heart-whelming story with a bit of comedy. If you want a quick change for the ruthless imperial harem setting, I suggest reading this.

The MC is a female imperial physician and the ML is the Emperor. The story doesn't really get into the political schemes and the MC can be quite dense at times, but it's a fun, short read. A very lighthearted romance.

The setting is also quite interesting and leads to a lot of humorous encounters, while the story is short and sweet, giving enough information to form a relationship and reveal deeper emotions between the two leads and their silly interactions.

A short, heart-warming story of the various misunderstandings between the protagonist, a female Imperial Physician, the Emperor, and a promise made during childhood.

Makes for a good laugh, and has a nice ending; is a parody of the various well-known Imperial intrigues e.g. 還珠格格；步步惊心. Don't expect too much from it, but read it to lighten your heart after a long day.

I dislike the FL's personality. She's cowardly. For a 7 chapter story, in 6 of them she's trying to avoid the ML/Emperor, thinks he'll kill her if she does something wrong in her field of work (imperial physician) and runs away after ML kisses her as she doesn't want to get involved.

Only in the last chapter when the ML tells her what's happening do I feel the romance, and isn't that far too late already.

This is a short novel about a childhood sweetheart-esque romance between the emperor and an imperial physician. It's really short so things don't feel as fleshed out and of course there is not a huge quantity of romantic moments but it's short and sweet. Politics, harem intrigue and the like are really subtle, almost nonexistent, so there is no scheming etc.

It's cuter than I expected but then became disappointing bc of how word vomit exposition way it ended.

I mean did the author have to end it in 7 chapters? If the author needed more chapters to slowly give us the ending, then heck do 10 chapters.

Overall decently cute, but really word vomit telling at the end. Kinda killed any sense of romance to me as it only felt like he just wanted to make babies with her immediately but hey ok lol

Well thought out and really humorous. The translation is great and references to rn China are explained so you understand that originally it was even funnier. It's written from the POV of an unreliable narrator.

The MC and ML are well matched, and as the plot is very much focused on the MC and the ship there's no real explanation for anything you just guess on your own. Grat for taking your mind off things and putting a smile on your face. Rec it 100%

Hahaha, MC is so hilarious. She is a quack doctor who is forced to be an imperial physician by the previous emperor's imperial decree. She secretly fell in love with the current emperor who is also her childhood friend. But she didn't dare to show her love because the emperor had many concubines and one of them was even pregnant with his child. At this point, I love MC's principle: if love is lack then better not love at all (her sentence isn't quite like this but I'm too lazy... more>> to search her exact words so here it is). That's why she chose to leave behind the emperor and search her own happiness out of the palace.

Unknown to MC, ML secretly fell in love with her too. He silently consolidated his powers behind the greedy officials so he could do what he wanted and also so he could protect MC in the future. And after that, you better just read the story. It really won't take long (I just spent about half an hour).

The story is considered short, compared to other palace story novel. There's no excessive scheme and drama. Also, it's not dragging and there is no loose end. I just hope it could be longer though so I could see MC and ML being lovey dovey with each other. <<less
