This contains the bottom of the main list, All Novels I've Read Sorted By Rating! It was reaching the max limit so I've moved the stories rated 3 Stars and below and all the dropped novels here.

I have made a review and rating for every novel I've read on novelupdates. Since they don't have the user friendly capability of sorting a user's read list by rank I made one for myself ordered by best/enjoyed the most to least. The ranking within the same number of stars may not be right because it is usually from different genres, too different to compare with each other haha. Also, I didn't bother to ranked the dropped stories because I don't want to waste brainpower on that. So if I didn't give a rating, I won't sort it.

The other weaker alternative is the Reviews section in my profile but it can only be sorted by likes and date of review not by rank. The reason I want to put my rating and reviews straight in the list is because you can't search for a specific user's review in the novel page if there are too many reviews. You will have to search one by one. Its easier to straight up see why I put the novel in a particular list plus my review in the list itself. Sigh, novelupdates is really not user friendly.

So I have no idea of their relation... more>> to anybody in the story for a good many chapters like 50-70 chapters. Like Su Qi, who is he to the General and to Su Rong? And Zheng Shi, is that a guy, a girl, a servant, or a relative to Zheng Xuan? It got a bit annoying. I also don't understand how things work, like how Mo Yi got to be an external student of the college. But what is external and internal? Who's paying for all this? Can a servant just enter the school as a student even though he's a servant? Is Mo Yi a servant?? So many questions. I'm at chapter 102 btw.Dropping it here. I kept waiting for a weak to strong progression since this looks like a cultivation novel but it never really got going. Until now, it was all the annoying, messy relationship drama that never got a proper or clear conclusion. But now six of them are travelling together just like that. I can't keep up with the vibe. Also, I want the focus to be on the MC? We keep going through the side characters though. So much so that the MC plots were forgotten for quite a while. Sigh. I don't really know where the story is going either. Not to mention that the characters are teenagers, and their actions and thoughts reflect this. It also feels weirdly unrealistic because the ML is an actual prince? So why doesn't it feel like it to the rest of the people?? Where is the respect? The dignity of royalty? The guards? The servants meaning more than that one servant?? It seems the royal family is rather small with no other concubines or something. Shouldn't there be some council or something for ruling? Does the ML have no responsibility at all? Writing/Translation: 3.3/5I read the translation from Flying-Lines Translation. The translation is so-so. The grammar and whatnot are above average for a flying-lines novel but there are a lot of weird word substitutes that are the wrong people and other words I don't understand. Eg, "Ruying, have you got some stable push?", no idea what stable push means. And "On seeing Xu Zihan, Xu Zihan said c*ck-a-hoop, "Feiyu, Prince Yu must have given you the cultivation formation didn't he?". No idea what c*ck-a-hoop meant. I assume it's a mistranslation and the translator missed it or something. It appears to be an edited MTL in which the TL rushed a little. A little bit better than MTL but definitely ain't perfect. <<less

Well, I wanted to like it but nope. I can't stand to continue. The whole story is very light and feels like it is made up of filler content. There is no main goal or ambition the Mc is working towards. You see, her goal at the start is to live a better life than before which means living as minors under the care of a guardian until they are of age. This would be better than her previous life. So she goes to find their dad. After getting a dad and his acknowledgment of them being his children, the next step is to keep their standard of living, which is threatened by the existence of the male lead that took down the 'villain' her dad in the future. But the way she goes about it is pretty Disney Channel-esque. She doesn't really think about proper steps to solve the issue but just hints about the male lead or join a competition to earn money for her and the brother in the event the dad goes bankrupt as expected. When the main big thing that caused the downfall of the dad was mostly prevented, the downfall could already be predicted to never happen, so the problem was already solved. Now there is no more tension to look forward to in the story. This happens in like the first third of the story. The rest is just the MC being effortlessly good at everything. She isn't really shown to be working at it. There is nothing to root for because we know she will surely ace it. Very boring.

Also, I hate the massive difference in treatment and expectations between the twins. The dad treats the son in this toxic masculinity way while the MC as the princess in the palm of his hand when, dude, they are the same age and whatnot. It got so bad that I seriously doubt whether he cares about the boy or not. Anything that shows he cares about his as a son is an afterthought-thrownaway sentence. Eg, "MC scrolls through her dad's Weibo and sees that it is full of his children's exam results, her piano recital, his basketball games, etc". Every other scene between him and his kids is always kind and loving towards the girl, but frowning and thinking stinky kid towards the boy. Very typical toxic masculinity at play there.

Sigh, there just isn't any personal big bad for the Mc to fight against like there usually is in this type of novel. So there wasn't really anything to carry me through the story. So dropping it here. Maybe I'm just not the intended audience haha <<less
