Made me cry like a b*tch. I read this on a reading app, and my annotations were the longest I'd ever had. Even without the protagonist's halo, she was relatable and deserving of love; She has issues with her family and is continually bearing the bulk of the blame simply by existing. And to say that her life now is no different than it was in the past makes it much more painful. Despite all of this, I'm pleased she's getting her sweet revenge by being the hero of her own story; even with all the characters being so depressing and worthy of their own redemption (rarely) TT.... more>>

The romance, on the other hand, was well worth it; I despised the male lead at first and wished she'd wind up alone, but it all worked out in the end.

She went through a lot of hurdles to get where she is and I hope she finally gets her happy ending when I finish it. 9/10. <<less
