The slow development from the initial chaos and depravity means that the beginning of the novel makes a lot of readers feel like this story is just wrong. At least, morally? I personally didn't mind it, but I was forwarned. The main character of the novel is a 'scum' who was transmigrated by force by a "Reformation Guide". This Guide observes his actions and makes it impossible for him to act out his darker instincts. It rewards and punishes him based on a very strict criteria, making it almost impossible for him to survive in his new world, which is a world stuck in a primitive era -- where people ate people because of lack of food, where it is natural for the strong to ens*ave the weak, where there are many (many many many) creatures (both intelligent and non-intelligent) waiting to kill everyone as soon as they step out of safe areas.

The first arc of the story focuses on establishing the enmity between the MC and the ML. The ML picked up the MC in the beginning and ens*aved him. Naturally, the MC wasn't having it, but his current circumstances could only allow him to make small moves in the savage tribal environment that he had been dumped in. As the story progresses, the thinking of the people will naturally change. It's actually pretty satisfying if you stick through it! The characters are very complex and the worldbuilding is very well-done (in my opinion). So...

Altogether! If you think you can handle the graphic and potentially triggering themes thrown your way (especially in the beginning), I think this novel is worth reading. It's long... but I didn't get bored even till the end! The only reason I dropped it before finishing was that I had work to do T.T and I'm not sure I'll be able to pick it back up after I finish. 4.5/5!!! [Modern Day, Fantasy, Game Elements, System Administrator, Virtual Romance] Not what I was expecting, but it didn't disappoint! I can see why this is so highly rated now. I avoided it for the longest time because the summary was a bit... uhhh all over the place, i guess? I just didn't understand it DX If you're like me and you're hesitating because of the summary or something else, I can confidently say that you will probably end up liking this novel more than what you're expecting! It's the kind of character-driven novel that you rarely see in Danmei groups -- one with a driving theme that makes the story stand out with its own... more>> message~ A must read! (BTW: The TL is very well done too, so nothing to worry about there.)

As for the premise... In this novel, the protagonist, Li Shuoxing is an author known for being very flaky (struggles to keep up with updates and the likes). We catch him just before he releases his newest book and finishes the old one. He's in a bit of a slump, but luckily for him, a pretty magical "love nurturing app" suddenly installs itself on his phone. There, he meets a pretty realistic, tsundere chibi called Su Mingqian (ML). While working on his new book and falling in love, he proceeds to unravel the mystery behind the app and his new little lover. <<less

4.25/5!!! [SYSTEM, World-Hopping, Time-Travel] This novel is surprisingly... deep? If you've read the author's other works, you'll know what I mean. It's oddly purposeful. The author packs a lot of content in a bite-size novel (in my eyes, at least). Most of it is in explaining the world and the people living in said world. For a world-building addict like myself, this was just perfect XD! In terms of plot and conflicts, this novel can't be said to be very good. At least, it's not very exciting. There isn't much tension either. But the author has a way with their words, making you sink deeper and deeper into their world. Here, there are multiple worlds... more>> explored, which makes it even better. Each instance is very unique. The MC doesn't really have a purpose or BIG goal anywhere. It's more about experiencing the different planes that he travels and growing up as a supermarket boss lolol.

Anyway, that's about all I can say. This is the kind of story that I love but always feel kind of speechless about. Like I can't describe what I like about it. It's just... good? In terms of characters, you can say that they're very simple. But they also feel very real. In terms of romance, I thought it was cute. It's not the focus, and it was never meant to be, but for a shounen ai, there's enough sweetness there for you to chew on. So, yeah! Great read, would read again. My rating for it is 4.25/5! I'm a very picky person, so that's actually a very high rating for me lol.

SUMMARY: The MC has been obsessed with running his own supermarket for years. When it finally happens, he's thrown off by a sudden plane jump that brings him to a world where people are fleeing from famine. He doesn't really realize this at first. He traveled with his supermarket building and there's a newly installed system in it, but it doesn't tell him what he should do next. It's just there. Anyway, he doesn't know what to expect from this strange situation, and he's not willing to risk his life for the sake of his curiosity.

Fortunately, he's pretty lucky. A mother and daughter pair came knocking on his door, and through them, he was able to find out more about the world. It's also due to them that he figured out what role to play! That is, the BIG BOSS. In a world of chaos, he can only pretend to be a master immortal in order to survive with his weak body and wealth (i.e., the stock in the supermarket). Eventually, he unlocks some new features in the system that tells him what to do next. It's all about figuring things out bit by bit, gathering new people around him, and slowly building up momentum until he finishes what the system wants him to do and is able to travel to the next world.

(As for the ML, his name is Zou Ming, he was hired by the FL from the system database and he helps the MC a lot in the early stage. There's a big mystery around this quiet and loyal ML, but I won't say it because it's more fun to figure it out yourself.) <<less

Summary: The MC is a transmigrator with a SYSTEM who was given the identity of a Bossy CEO. His task is to fight over the protagonist of a QT novel with all the other Tops. He doesn't find much of an issue with this, he's not an emotionally driven person (and that's an understatement), he just wants to get it over with so that he can continue living his life. Unfortunately, the expected ending would require his consciousness to die after being fused together with all the Tops. After finding out about this, he decides to work on obstructing the plot from developing --- and he does it in a very deliberate way, not hiding much of anything.

The MC's lack of EQ (like, if I were to give a percentage, it would be 0% lol, maybe a negative number) makes the first half of the story pretty hilarious. But once the reverse harem starring him as the main target begins, it becomes a bit dogblooded. Too much drama for me! I was in for the lolols. Because of this, I stopped reading, but my opinion of the novel is still pretty high. I won't be doing a full review for this one, but my rating for it is 4.12/5 stars (primarily because it really was such a fun read at first)! The writing is great, the TL is even greater~ The characters were also very distinctive and had their own complex developments, even if their base foundations were kind of cliche (i mean, what character isn't cliche these days lolol!) If I had to say where the story was lacking, it would probably be in the actual romance department and the plot. When it comes to tone and pacing, it hit the right spot in the beginning, but by the end, it was a litttttle ehh. The novel is set in a modern day world, but it's one that's behind in terms of technology and some cultural aspects. The MC was assigned to this world after getting into an accident while reading about it in a book. He was given the role of a cannon fodder in the original story who cuckolded the original protagonist (the ML) and ended up dying alone. When he arrived into this world, he was already well into his marriage with the original protagonist, but there was still a long way to go before his end. So, he deals a lot with the system at first, which encourages him to create a livelihood for himself (which is where the poor-to-rich aspect comes in, though it's more of a rich-to-rich lolol). The story focuses on business management at first, but the ending arc explores the mixed relationships of all the characters in the book that wasn't revealed in the original novel.

When it comes to the romance, it was a gradual build-up that was both humorous and sticky sweet~ So it's really not as dog-blooded or contrived as the summary may make you believe it is XD. All in all, I considered it a good read, and the MTL was also highly comprehensible (i plugged the raw into google translate and directly posted it to wattpad for offline reading. It was 85-90% readable.)

OHHH just one more thing, remember to not take this novel too seriously! The MC is quite careless when it comes to certain matters, and it's even possible to just call him straight-out heartless DX. So if you take things too seriously, it's a bit difficult to enjoy the novel's occasional dark humor. In the end, the main CP are quite happy, so I didn't really care. Especially since the ML also took advantage in the beginning by hiding things and then later freely reading his mind like its nothing lmfao~ <<less

Last time I only made it up to c123, now it's 182 lolol. I now see what the issue with the novel is that I didn't notice before O.O It involves wayyyyy too much telling vs showing. Most of the chapters is like reading a report rather than reading a novel, which makes it really boring. The pacing was better in the beginning, but once you get past the close character development and such, the pacing goes super speed and almost never slows down again T.T Still! I did like this novel quite a bit regardless, since it's... more>> an infrastructure or "kingdom"-building novel. The main focus of most of the story is the MC creating a place for himself in both worlds, which takes lots of work and lots of money he he. If you're into that, then this is not a bad read! Might be best to wait for the TL tho. The MTL for this is pretty bad. Even when I plugged the raw into Google translate, the result wasn't all that good (75-80% readable).

As for my rating, previously it was ambiguously between 4-4.49/5 stars. Now I can say with confidence that it's probably more like 3.9 stars out of five. Still worth the 4 stars I gave it last time, but my opinion went down juuuust a bit because of the pacing issue in later chapters. <<less

I don't dare to recommend it lightly, but objectively speaking, I thought that it was pretty good in its own way. It's just a matter of whether or not you're in the mood for abusive romance XD. If you are, all I can say is that the abusive romance here at least makes a lot of sense. There's a reason for everything that the characters do. Although, in some cases, you don't get to find out why until the very end (so, if you're feeling impatient, I suggest giving this a pass until you're in a more suitable mood.)... more>>

Summary: This is your typical quick transmigration novel, with just some slight adjustments. The MC, Xie He, hops from world to world with the mission of capturing a specific target. This is may be a bit of a spoiler, but let me just say that the ending for each arc is rather miserable. Here, the repetitive aspect is the abusive romance. In order to accomplish his goals sooner, the MC will always choose the most ruthless method of capturing his target -- which usually starts with first abusing himself, and then abusing the scum gong in question.

Thoughts: For those that are softhearted, this novel really won't work out at all ... The best thing to do is read it with the mentality of abuse xD. You can't expect any romance or fluffy feelings. If you think of it as scum gong vs scum shou, it's pretty interesting. At least, you get to see the psychological activities of the main characters (the MC always embodies his host completely, so you'll truly get to see the POV of both sides). I found that interesting, and it was what kept me interested in the beginning.

After a while, I began skipping and skimming arcs, but that was after I confirmed that the arcs were almost completely separate from the main storyline. Only the first 4 arcs, arguably, are important to understanding the ending plot. So, if you want to skip starting from there, it's perfectly fine, you won't miss much of anything. Which is the beauty of transmigration novels like this, I suppose XD You can pretty much pick and choose the adventure you want to see. Due to this, I didn't really read the entirety of the book (which is also why I'm not doing a full review, even if I ended up reading the ending arc). Upon which, I was able to finally enjoy some fluffy romance. SO, altogether, a satisfying read for me. As for whether or not it will work out for you, it really depends. I suggest giving it a shot and backing out early if you find that some of the themes are too much (because, honestly, they will only continue getting worse lol).

If the story wasn't so repetitive, I would have rated it a little higher. In the end, I guess that's the disadvantage that contrasts the pros of separating the story arcs so clearly from the main storyline. It really feels a bit worthless to read the entirety of the story. I'm rating the novel based on what I read, which included only the story arcs I thought interesting, so there's definitely some bias here. However, idc, hehe.. When it comes down to it, I think the novel is worth it, even if for the character developments alone. Those were really fun! Not top-class, but the variety was great. <<less

Too many things happen as well, and most of it was convenient for the MC -- making this more of a shuangwen type of story (where the progress of the protagonists is relatively smooth). I don't think there's anything wrong with that though. I had fun, and that's enough for me! [Oh, and as for the translation, it's edited MTL, and starts off pretty rough. It's not a bad thing though, the characters of the novel are interesting, even if this is not necessarily a character-driven work, the plot development was meaningful. SUMMARY:

The MC, Su Jingyang is just a normal man. He's a bit foolish and naive, but he means well most of the time. Unfortunately, his ignorance about pregnancy ends up causing him to be dragged into a tragic experience by a corrupted SYSTEM. Not only is he forced to have children endlessly, but he experiences constant humiliation on a regular basis to make it happen. There's nothing that can be done about it. At least, he got to choose the man who would be the father of his children, but it's pretty much the same as not choosing at all, since he was in so much of a rush that he didn't even take in his appearance. And so, the story proceeds, with the MC struggling to live in ancient times while being tormented by the corrupted system. In the process, he connects with a kindred spirit that will turn into a lifelong friend. And, of course, he'll end up meeting the ML, Ah-Yi/Rong Ci.

Although this novel is really not my kind of novel, I can't deny that it's pretty good. Worth reading, especially if you like angst and stuff. Saying this, it's almost like I'm saying the story is all tragedy xD. But it's actually pretty good about balancing the good and the bad. The theme of this story should be relationships. Specifically, how true love can result in disaster -- and how sometimes, things work out, and sometimes, they don't. The MC and the ML's struggle is just part of the story (the MC wants to go back to Modern Times and continues to resolutely pursue this goal till the end). There are also some subplots with other pairs, where the theme is explored. Anyway, what's important is that the main characters do come out of it happy in the end. <<less

I was initially hesitant about it because the reviews looked like they were half-positive and half-negative. But I guess that worked out in my favor too? Anyway, let me explain... The MC of this novel transmigrates in a novel as the 6yo Little Earl of a small territory in the Western Kingdom (the novel is historically set in the Middle Ages). He's equipped with a SYSTEM that gives him access to modern and futuristic technology so that he can deviate from the intended plot of the novel.... more>> If he doesn't, he runs the risk of getting the same bad end as the original Earl, who died as canon fodder because he dared to chase after the heroine's main lead.

Ironically, while this novel satirizes the fact that the original protagonist of the novel was a Mary Sue, the MC of this novel ends up being a bit of a Gary Sue himself. Because of the SYSTEM, he is able to accomplish practically anything, and with his beauty and skills, he manages to wrangle a number of male leads who inexplicably fall in love with him along the way. Anyway, because I was pre-warned about this OP-ness and the poor romantic development, I didn't mind it so much and just focused on the way the MC slowly advanced the development of his territory with modern technology and practices. I enjoy that kind of thing~ Though I understand some people may not people the same LOL.

The TL is a little bit difficult to understand at times, but its quality is pretty stable. I would definitely have preferred to read it completed, but since it's not, I ended up going for the MTL -- which actually was not bad. The mix-up with the names (translation of Western Names written in Chinese back to English is... well >.< not good) kind of confuses things, but the general text is about 80% readable (definitely better than most novels.) <<less

Summary: The MC of this novel is an author facing writer's block. One day, he finds a system inside of his head urging him to start hopping from world to world (the world of his novels) in order to ensure that the protagonist achieves his destined ending. This sounds pretty interesting in theory, but the MC becomes a completely passive observer in both the arcs I've read. His only contribution to moving the plot along is subconsciously seducing the ML, while completely being unaware of it LMAO.

Thoughts: If the MC participated in the progression of the plot a bit more, I think I would have found the story more interesting. As it was, he really does practically nothing. Although he has free reign so long as the ML gets his destined ending, he doesn't try to make use of his knowledge to ease the progress. He just goes along with it all. Making the whole quick transmigration experience seem utterly pointless in my eyes. I'm the kind of person that dislike passive MCs like this. I enjoy character-driven novels where the characters are actively driving the story forward. So yeah. It ended up not being my kind of story. However, if you enjoy plot-driven stories and just want to indulge in experiencing multiple worlds in the POVs of the same characters, this is not a bad read. So, it all depends on what you like!

Rather than its current name, it should be titled something like: "Transmigrating into my own novels to pet cats" XD. That's pretty much the whole story. It's a very laid-back kind of novel where the MC is mainly indifferent and just wants to live life as he pleases (which is with a cat around his person, for the most part.) If you're looking for that kind of simple and cat-filled story, this isn't too bad to spent some time on. Unfortunately, I'm not a cat-lover, and I don't really like the passivity of the MC (who transmigrated for no reason... more>> -- he pretty much just sticks to the ML constantly, not really intending to do anything but watch.) To make things a little clearer, here's a brief summary...

Summary: The MC is an author that is popular for writing satisfying face-slapping novels with horrible endings. After finishing his most recent work, the hatred on his person suddenly broke world boundaries, and he was forced to transmigrate into his works to witness the chaos that he had caused. This would have been a rather interesting premise (you know, fighting against fate for a better ending). However, from the very beginning, the System told him that he couldn't do anything to change the end. It was very certain of this. And yet ... by interacting with the ML, the MC appears to have easily changed the plot.

Thoughts: The fluff factor is not bad. It's pretty cute, and if you like cats, you'll probably find it both charming and amusing. The transmigration aspect is pretty much of non-importance, however. It's just a convenient way for the MC to world-hop. The summary states that the MC is supposed to clean up his mess, but since the System says he can't change anything, he really doesn't do anything. Causing him to be passive to the point of being boring. I suggest that you just ignore the transmigration plot and enjoy the fluffy aspects of the novel XD. This is my second time reading this, and though I was better prepared, I still ended up getting led along by my expectations. The first time I read this, I made it c8. Now, it's further at c24. Maybe, with this more in-depth review, I can better prepare myself during the 3rd read XD.

For the time being, although I see some of the novels good points, for the most part, my impression is pretty bad. The characters, in my eyes, are too flat and boring. The MC of this novel is named Chi Xiaochi. He's an anchor who died and was given the opportunity to sign a contract with a SYSTEM that would allow him to go back to his old world and grant him one wish after he completes 10 tasks. Such tasks take him to various worlds -- playing as the Shou to the abusive scum Gong so that he can brush up on their regret value. OR, in other words, his mission is to 'reform' the scum Gong by making them regret their scummy ways. Our ML is 061, the SYSTEM that is in charge of the MC. And there's a mysterious past that ties them together. Through the various tasks that the MC and ML undergoes, they slowly find out more and more about said mysterious past. And, in the process, unearth some dark secrets about the MAIN SYSTEM.

If I had to say what I like most about this QT, it has to be the fact that all the different worlds are tied together by the main plot (the one between the MC and ML as well as the external conflict with the Main System). It's easy for me to get bored of other QTs because they have a tendency to be too repetitive. And, without anything tying the different task worlds together, it's almost as if I were reading separate short stories LOLOL. This novel is great because it's a whole. Everything connects together to make a bigger and better story, which I just love~

Definitely recommended for that reason! Of course, I ended up stopping because the TL is still incomplete, but this is a novel that I'm definitely going to come back to. However, the characters, while formulaic in terms of personality styles, are likeable and well-flexed out, so the relative simplicity of the plot makes it rather easy to sink into the story. Note, it's a lot more artistic in concept than most SYSTEM stories, it's going for that typical literary style, but with a lighthearted tone (I marked this as important because it's a bit difficult to truly enjoy the story in MTL. I'm sure I missed out on a lot of subtext DX. And so, while I would definitely recommend this novel to others, I'd also suggest you... more>> wait for the TL to finish before starting.)

SUMMARY: The MC (Ji Tong) of the story is your typical innocent and optimistic kind of shou. He was unexpectedly sent to another world after getting into an accident. But rather than entering with a human identity, he entered the world as a SYSTEM. It's not your typical out-of-picture-SYSTEM, but it's still a role that's supposed to stand aside and act mainly as a support (he's not the one that hands out the tasks, he's just there to provide helpful hints and interact with the Host — both indirectly, and directly as a human, electronic device, pet, etc.). As for the MC's host, he's the ML (Pei Qingyuan). Typical stoic gong. His script is set up for a counterattack — originally, he was raised in a wealthy family, but he later found out that he had actually been switched at birth, and so his entire life had been flipped over all at once. Resulting in the SYSTEM's appearance.

This premise seems a bit wild and fantastical when said like thisXD. But the story is actually pretty tame. Very vanilla, I should say. Most of it is school life, some romance, cub raising (the MC takes on the image of a 3yo at first), and romance. All in all, very fluffy. There are no radical cannon fodders in sight either. All the villains here are very reasonable. And they're not inherently malicious for no reason — which makes the tone of the story even lighter as a result.

THOUGHTS: To be honest, this kind of slice of life novel is really not my preference. Based on that, the fact that I read it till the end says quite a bit. I mean, I did get bored in occasion — to the point that I was tempted to drop it early multiple times. But all in all, my impression of the novel is pretty good. At least, I think that it's definitely worth the read, and quite memorable. The author does a really good job with establishing their characters — to the point that, while the story may not be the most exciting or comprehensive, it's still very easy to sink into the story for the sake of seeing their ending through. ANYWAY, I won't be rating this for now, because I read it mostly in MTL, and I can't be sure my impression is entirely accurate. If I were to give it a rating though, it would be around 4.3-4.4 out of 5 stars. This is with points added to account for the subtext I might have missed by reading the MTL. As of rn, based on what I actually read, it's closer to 4.1 out of 5 stars XD. Either way, it's still four stars rounded up. <<less
