Sometimes I feel like halfway through BL novels (specifically), the author gives up on the plot so the main CP can get together. That doesn't happen in this story. What i mean by this is, that the story is quite intense and has a lot going on. So if you miss something it can make it hard to understand what’s happening in the story. If your hesitating about reading this story because of the summary or the picture, stop hesitating. The good reviews are there for a reason, and... more>> admittedly there are some loose ends that weren’t tied up at the end of the story. But surprising they don’t detract of the overall good story. The relationship between MC and ML was really nice, there’s no misunderstanding over dum thing, just lots of friendship, support and trust for each other. As the novel was an early work by Long Qi, plot-wise, it was a bit immature and some things didn't make sense but you'd see the standard literary style of Long Qi which I'm quite fond of. The ending is a bit jarring and another chapter or 2 would've been better. I kinda hoping the author does write an extra of like 5 years later because it felt slightly unfinished. But still 100% worth  <<less

However, the most impressive thing about the novel is the ability of the author to create and depict vivid characters. The author took the two most classic gong and shou personalities in Danmei and turned them into real people to the point where you feel you could eventually meet them on the streets. The progression of their romance is natural and both handle it like mature adults. MC and ML are equal and independent partners without any unnecessary drama. I also loved the more realistic take on different opinions about same s*x couples. All in all, it is a great read that is perfectly capable of providing plenty of enjoyable moments. <<less

This is a great Quick Transmigrating novel that’s not a serious or drama fulled novel with face slapping and misunderstandings, but more of a fun... more>> and easy going love story between the MC and ML. I really liked the writing and the passing of the over all book. The arc’s are a nice length, but be warned, the story of the arc’s are quite neglected and breezed over. This whole book is more forced on the love story between the MC and ML, so don’t expect much in the plot side of things. The ML bring so powerful dose make this story just a little washed out, but it’s off set by the cute relationship between the MC and ML. It fluffy and cute, with just enough seriousness to keep the story flowing nicely. There quite a few things that do get a little annoying, like how the side character just full in love with the MC out of nowhere or the arc being neglected in favours of the MC and ML love story or the ML crazy possessiveness. The author dose also leave out a lot of explanations the could have been add in but weren’t. Especially about the MC before he became a minor supporting character. That was a little disappointing, but over all it was a very fun and easy going book to read.  <<less
